Cambodia/ Khmers language is one of the three original language in the world.....and the only one in the world that can master all languages of speaking even Russia the hardest language..... also the only one that can complete sanskrits language completely...
Are you sure ? Khmer language is old but not old enough to be a one in the great language of this world . Khmer is a small group language for today .Khmer is not an origin of every thing in this world , please forget about the fake dream of greatness of the Khmer 's past.
All we know Chao Dork mean Nephew Dork. Nephew Dork learning the instruments. Many Khmer songs and music use Thai, Khmer and Lao words vice versa. Khmer songs: Jao'doung, Lao'luc Bey Chuan, Phom'mear, Sea'noun, etc. Has similarity. If you want the truth, go ask the teacher. They can explain the name of the song who wrote it and conduct it. This song was also sang by Sin Sisamouth. I am pretty sure Sin Sisamuth is older the Prince Bopha Devi at that time.
Thailand (lawo , ayuthaya, northeast, southeast )and cambodia or overall of southeast asia is same land in ancient time , We had just had boundary line when western (england france ect.) came to find new land and split our land. So our culture and langguages must be similar to each another.
I do agree with you. Some Khmer and Thai nationalists are obsessed over claiming what had originally been theirs that they forgot the fact that we had shared the same culture before, thus, it's no surprises that one nation might influence its neighbour in one way or another.
.. origin is of ancient race Mu people.. our area are of them, after the continent is no more.. yes, beside music, dance, architecture, Angkor wat and the bayon palace too are legacy of Mu people...
Regardless of what being described nowadays as Thai nation, the word "Chao" and "Dork" is rooted from a language called "Tai", one of Indo European Language branches. "Chao" meaning either "you" or "dear" and "Dork" meaning "flower" Once again, I am not speaking for claiming that this "Title" of the song belongs to any of us and I don't care where it came from as long as we, both countries, have this as our precious heritage culture. To me, there is no need to brag it over. All of this can be seen as a very very simple culture transmission that happens all the time. Thank you for reading and understanding
sabaikhmer No I don't think at all that your explanation is correct. The song talking about Chao, thai or lao word "You, dear..." and Dork " flower ". We use alot of Thai words in mahori song and especialy the royal court dance language. It's the fact. We can't denite it. The khmer and Thai court had shared together alot of cutural structure, so language.
***** Chao has multiple meaning, but I think it's best translated as guardian, or lord. In Khmer as M'chass Phka. This word is seen in other Thai borrowing like ChaoPhraya/Chao Ponyea or ChaoFa/ChaoFea (this not mean a bandit, or grandchild, it translates to "master" or "lord"). The real title of this song is not Chao Dok. The reason why we call it Chao Dok because the lyrics uses Chao Dok as a chorus often. The real title is Phama He (in old Khmer writing from early 1900s, this is acknowledged). Phama He is a Burmese influenced tune from Siamese music.
***** If you noticed, the chorus always say the name of a flower. Like it is calling, Oh lord master of this flower. It is not suppose to make literal sense. This type of lyric is common in other songs from the royal ballet. And I heard some Thai dance songs in Sang Thong use the same type of lyrics to the same tune. Music from the royal ballet often have terms like "Thlai Euy" "Na Nong Euy" and around it is lyrics that don't actually relate to it. etc. Basically it is used as a rhyming tool.
MusaboruOo : Yes I totaly agree with you. Chao=lord, you, Dork=flower. Poeple just deny the fact that we use thai words. There are alots of Thai words not only in khmer court even in general life, that we used to use and keeping uesing its.
Some of Khmer people still not understand about the flow of cultures , they always think that Khmer is an origins of everything in this world. Is it because of low education ? Khmer people should teach each other about a giving of credit to other countries , it is a good manners. I know that the truth is painful to accept but it is necessary for some of Khmer people.
Accepting the truth isn't painful but what the most painful is someone trying to tell u to accept the false thing while u know it's not true. I agree that khmer copy ur music or drama from thai now a day but did thai ever accept the truth that their culture was from khmer?
The evidences is not strong enough that Thai cultures is only from Khmer, may be some part but Thai cultures is complicated and received from many roots and mixed into a unique one at Ayudhaya period . But Khmer people don't understand that Thai ( the true name is Siam ) nation is a combine nation between Khom ( related with Khmer) and Thai and Mons and others as same as our cultures. And Thai (Siam) not steal any cultures from Khmer.
Khom is come from khmer-mon thai always collected all the scholars treasure architects and many important documents whenever thai defeated khmer. We're not trying to claim that every thai's culture are our but the roots of thai's culture are from khmer(some of). And we accept that at the time that we became weak khmer went to learnt from thai back so the culture of ours everyday maybe isn't the original one but doesn't mean it different we still keep the original.
@@sirisaktan Do you think you are siam blood? Do you know who is the own of Ayudhya ? why Ayudhaya become under sokhoatei for me if you born at Ayudhaya you are khmer blood 100% in that period if phuma not fighting khmer Ayudhaya to give siam sokhoatei ..right now Ayudhaya still in khmer. the people live at there now they are khmer but now mabey they not speak khmer but the culture they still protect, I know all of you now don't want to recognize but the truth is still the truth....because of khmer people in siam now aday they still protect their culture this why everything we look like the same.
@@sirisaktan you should know siam people who come from the south china just a small group of people only the population of siam is 70% is khmer so this why that the culture of siam same same khmer because during you siam stole khmer land in ancient time all the khmer people are still live at that land just under siam management and all khmer people they still protect their culture I know now a day they not speak khmer but in the history you should know ,but if you learn history that written by siam almost are fake .
Tiki Taka Guy!! Chao= in Khmer is the word calling grandchild or use before the name Dork= in Khmer is to throw away The meaning is telling their next generation not to forget the ancient music instruments tool and link with the work “Dork” which mentioned throwing some plants away in this song.
@@tikitaka8280 are you crazy. The word eat Khmer pronounce See and in English, they pronounce See too but different meanings just sounds like See for all. No one borrow each other.

😘😘😘💞

មាស ស្រីយុត្តិ why song name is a thai language
មាស ស្រីយុត្តិ please look description in this clip.
@@tikitaka8280 its all khmer words Thai used Khmer words 30% of it
Tiki Taka Guy!!
Chao= in Khmer is the word calling grandchild or use before the name
Dork= in Khmer is to throw away
The meaning is telling their next generation not to forget the ancient music instruments tool and link with the work “Dork” which mentioned throwing some plants away in this song.
@@tikitaka8280 are you crazy. The word eat Khmer pronounce See and in English, they pronounce See too but different meanings just sounds like See for all. No one borrow each other.
ชื่อเพลงเป็นภาษาไทย เขมรก็อปไทย
