I love this lady's attitiude. We need more voices like hers in today's society. Well done.
I am so on board with this lady. We need more like her in our children's schools.
Archie and Lily are now titled prince and princess. Case close regarding Meghan’s claims regarding royal racism and this proves her lies in the OW interview. In addition Harry stated this in Tom Bradby interview “Right, wouldn’t you describe that as essentially racist?” Tom asked referring to Meghan's mention of the royal family member asking for Archie's skin colour, to which Harry said, “I wouldn’t, not having lived within that family.” Harry said so himself that the royal family is not racist and in OW interview, both Meghan and Harry stated that the conversation was with Harry and NOT Meghan regarding Archie's skin colour. Harry should know if that conversation was racially motivated or not. Both Meghan and Harry have been proven to tell lies repeated over the past few years and they have no credibility.
There was a very serious accusation of racist comment allegedly made by one of the royal family member during OW interview but my problem with her accusation was the vagueness of her accusation without context of the conversation or naming of the specific perpetrator noted in the accusation. For example, a mixed race family often will speculate on the hair colour, skin colour, the eye colour of the baby without any sinister intent. Speculating the skin colour does not mean that it was racist. Did they twist the context to make it sound more sinister than it actually is? The reason that I am bringing this up is because, she has done that twisting the truth, misleading the audience to fit her victim narrative repeatedly through out the interview. She had more than 10 factual inaccuracies through out the interview. Another concern with this point of racism accusation is the fact that Meghan gave the account of having multiple conversations about Archie’s skin colour during the pregnancy but Harry’s account of this is different from Meghan. He stated that it was only one conversation prior to their marriage and he was even vague about it by changing the subject to the fact that his family wanted Meghan to continue to act because there was not enough money for her. So I wonder on accuracy or truthfulness of their accusation. Both of them proved to be misleading with a lot of their later statements and in my view, if you lie once a lot of your claim’s credibility gone out the window.
I also do not believe that neither Charles nor Catherine are racist. Both Charles and Catherine are well travelled and have met countless people from all different walks of life including world leaders, people of different ethnic background. With those experiences came worldly wisdom and knowledge. King Charles has tirelessly campaigned for unity of all different faiths/ethnicities and has done a lot for the black youth with his Prince's Trust which helped them turned their lives around. Both of them are all busy with their own schedules that include royal engagements, Duchy’s financial dealings, learning the rope for the future monarchical role, decision makings regarding modernising monarchy, looking after her own young family in the case of Catherine. Their plates are full with things to be concerned with already that they have no time to worry about Harry’s and his biracial wife’s baby skin colour for which they cannot change or do anything about. It is just absurd to suggest what Meghan suggested in the OW interview.
Another thing to note is that King Charles allowed Harry to marry a biracial woman who is as light as a Caucasian and he is supposed to be concerned with the colour of the baby who will be lighter than his/her mother by logic. I mean what will be the point of him concerning over the baby’s skin colour when they already accepted the biracial mother into the family knowing that she will have a baby with Harry? It just does not make sense.
There was an insinuation that Archie was not given the title prince and HRH due to possibility of his skin colour. That is a total BS. The thing is Archie not being given the royal title is due to 100 year old George V protocol and it is nothing to do with his skin colour. George V protocol states that only up to grandchildren of the Reigning Monarch and in direct line to the throne thereafter is allowed to have HRH and prince title. Archie as a great grandchild at the time was not eligible for the title. Anyone can understand that and Meghan as a somewhat smart? person should understand that very easily. She twisting things is very clear with this.
There was also insinuation that Archie was not given protection due to his skin colour. Again, Meghan twisting things to suit her own agenda. Andrew’s 2 daughters do not get royal protection, so as Princess Anne’s and Prince Edward’s children. It is not surprising that Harry’s children will not get royal protection either as he is not direct line to the throne. Again nothing to do with Archie’s skin colour.
Meghan stated that she only wanted Archie to get the title prince so that he can have security. Again, Eugenie and Beatrice are titled princesses and HRH and yet they are not eligible for royal security protection. Princess Anne and Prince Edward(Earl of Wessex) have prince and princess titles and HRH and yet they only have the royal security while doing royal duties/public engagement and not 24/7 security. The decision of who get the security in the royal family is not made by the royal family themselves but from RAVEC for the Metropolitan Police department. This discussion about Archie not getting the security linked to his skin colour should not have been made from the start as that decision is nothing to do with the royal family. This security was provided courtesy of the UK tax-payers and after they chose to step back from positions of working for the people of the UK as working royals, they are not entitled to the security.
There was also insinuation that Royal family was racist. If that is the case then, I don’t understand why would Prince Charles spent $3million out of his own pocket to pay for their extravagant royal wedding with the blessing of the Queen and walked Meghan down the aisle. It would have been easier to disagree to the wedding from the start. They were given royal titles as a wedding gifts. No privileges were spared to them. She was the first fiancee along with her mum Doria to spend Christmas at Sandringham with the royal family and the first royal woman to go on royal train with the Queen for royal engagement mere weeks after her wedding. Even Catherine, future Queen Consort, was not given these privileges. Some very ungrateful and disgraceful 2 some.
Now we all know that both Archie and Lili are as white as Caucasian and visually Caucasian and therefore, if King Charles did not bestow them with royal titles, it would not have been related to their skin colour. King Charles has been talking about streamlining the monarchy for years before Meghan came on the scene where minor royals will not have royal titles or official roles so that it is not overcrowded at the expense of the tax payer's burden. So Apart from Andrew's 2 daughters, Princess Anne's and Prince Edward's children do not have prince and princess titles. He was thinking that Harry's children will lead private lives without the burden of having the royal titles. Obviously, Meghan and Harry are obsessed with royal titles because to them status is everything.
@@joannelim5483 about Archie security issue - why 1 year old should have separate security???? As far as I understood Cambriges(at the time) kids also didn't have their own security - only same as their parents.
@@АннаВотякова-у9в Exactly, they just twisted things to make it sound like they are victims when they are not.
It might help if she did her job instead of commenting on every issue of the day.
We all heard the story about what color of skin Harry & Meghan’s children will be. Harry heard it and thought curiosity Oprah and Meghan heard it and thought concern. Who had the unconscious bias? Why would the color of your skin be a concern? Who is racist?
Depends on a person's life experience. Normal people who ask don't represent a country with a terrible colonial past.
@@marksolum1794 Britain doesn't have a terrible colonial past. The Western world has, on balance, brought countless advancements and broader freedoms to the world at large. Britain and later America ENDED slavery as it had been practiced world wide since ancient times.
People who complain the most about the "evil" West, somehow never divest from all of the wonderful Western rights and comforts they likely would never have had if world history had gone some other way. If the West is so terrible, why are so many non-Westerners coming here daily?
Wondering what the baby would look like as opposed to "concern" over the colour of the baby's skin (that was the word used) are two different things. The word "concern" should be the focus of discussion. Why should there be a concern! Be concerned with an older mother prima gravida and neural tube defects. But concern over skin colour!!!
This teacher is absolutely amazing!!!!! Wish we had more like her. 🇦🇺🇬🇧🥂
What a fabulous teacher. Love her !!
I admire this woman. She is talking about what I believe. Teacher should be taught personal responsibility, history and conservative values.
There’s a non-British term addressed to Catherine, POWales as “Katie Keen”.. this is an American reference to a character in the comic book Archie… and megain said in her podcast with Mindy Kalin that she grew up reading her favourite comic book…”ARCHIE”…hmmm 🤔🤦♀️busted…endgame
I’ve taught for 45 years and I think this lady is fantastic. Please let her have serious prominence in the future.
She is spot on. The high level of educational standards in the past is credited to traditional, strict rules and protocol. Look at the behaviour of most students today. Very sad.
A two tier education system and a propagandist ,Right Wing press keeps the people away from truth.
Now this is a woman who stirs me. She’s a great voice
THIS LADY IS SO SMART ! We need more people like her
Same here. She made a very positive impression. If we had a thousand like her we would solve so much of Britain's problems.
What a fantastic woman - this is what a head teacher needs to be ❤️
Love this lady!!!! She is knowledgeable, concise and well-spoken. I especially like the way that she talks about what doesn’t work, and then immediately begins to discuss, explain and show how and what will work. Dr. Cheri’ Bunting, Ph.D…. USA
Could M have unconscious biased about British people?
@@Pawsforthought222 That’s where she came from & that’s where she belongs. The toxic fallout from her royal racist claim is still having ramifications & still causing trouble for the RF.
She is the most inspirational person i have heard in LONG, LONG time. Agree COMPLETELY !
She is right -back to basic standards of behaviour in the classroom so that teachers are able to teach. The curriculum needs an overhaul - back to basics on that too.
I love Ms. Birbalsingh!! Good on you for telling it as it is! History is rich with extraordinary and demoralizing stories - rich and informative! Yes, meritocracy! You are the epitome of intelligence, strength and resilience. Excellence!!! 🙌👏🙌👏
What a thoughtful and intelligent woman. The interviewer seemed to be trying for a lot of controversy but was redirected at every turn but this amazing speaker. I will be looking for more of her work.
As an English 5th grade English teacher in Mexico I wish I could speak like that without the fear of being fired.
she has been fired and before she found success with her school, has been maligned and discouraged unceasingly. but she kept at it and never stopped working and picking herself up. so good luck to you. good teachers are a a gift and we appreciate you.
This lady we need more of her ❤
I have listened to Katharine Birbalsingh over the years and I can honestly say that she is the best thing since sliced bread when it comes to educating children. I found the whole interview difficult to listen to because I find that interviewer particularly obnoxious.
On paper I don’t think I would like her, when she talks she is so real. She’s really got me thinking
Yep..I went off the interviewer after watching her agenda with Dr Jordan peterson.. I was so obvious and eh schooled her very politely
I thought the interviewer was good. She questioned, then left her guest to speak, and dropped in a question to extend the conversation where necessary. It's her job to tease out the thoughts and opinions of her guests, and that's what she did.
She is a prime example of not letting her race dictates her destiny and instead chose to focus her strengths and merits to get to where she is now. I really wish we can come to a place where race doesn't have to be everything and just recognize everyone as simply human being. I love the point she said on not indulging in victimhood.
I've been a huge fan of Katherine Birbalsignh and I am so thrilled she is able to speak up with so much truth about the importance of educating children (correctly) and how tribalism is not helping society at all and shouldn't be encouraged. And while the host kept asking (to be sensational or as click bait maybe?) , I appreciated her common sense response on how one shouldn't take offense at everything, especially in something as natural as speculating about a baby's likely skin color.
My 2 cents only after listening to this conversation: Racism does exist but if take offense at everything and think that the world is out to get us, what kind of future are we building? We will just be fighting and keep getting our feelings hurt. While we should be sensitive to others feelings and keep learning about ourselves and our world's history, I think exposing ourselves to other cultures - say by by traveling and making friends with people different from us, will help us become more compassionate and be more tolerant of one another.
As an American I had never heard of her before, but she is fantastic!! Loving her outlook and educational priorities, giving the kids high expectations if they work hard and have standards of behaviour! Glad she doesn't let herself become a token board member due to checking off the various minority aspects, rather needs people to see her for her achievements. Makes me think of the movie Stand and Deliver, based on a true story of a math teacher who taught poor & working class Hispanic kids in a failing school algebra, then calculus with high standards, rigor and expectations that students would rise to the level that was expected of them. After all the students taking the Advanced Placement (AP) Calculus test passed, the Educational Testing Service questioned the students' exam scores and made them re-take the test, which they all passed again, proving they had not cheated!
Many of her comments regarding racism, behavior, history, silos, and small c issues are also relevant in U.S.schools. As a retired Texas public school teacher, Katherine Birbalsingh talks common sense.
I was curious as to what my twins would look like too before I adopted them, before they'd been assigned to me unseen - whether they'd be boys or girls; whether they'd be able bodied or disabled; whether they'd be dark or light skinned; whether they'd be short or tall. Curiosity isn't racism. Racism is racism. I've also taught in the inner city, and the fact is that this woman has turned many working-class kids whom the system would have written off into highly successful young people with heads held high!
Curiosity is well and good. Every parent is curious about the child(ren) they are carrying. For instance, mental or physical issues that one’s family might have a trait. But skin tone never crossed my mind, or the minds of my family and if Meghan had not been black, it wouldn’t have been a subject to that family. Was there a point where Kate and Will kids skin tone was a discussion. How can you people who has never experienced racism sit back and say what you think racism is or isn’t. Yes, it is a racist remark to be concerned if you are a black mother and her white family is concerned, not about mental or physical issues of an unborn child, but its skin. You vipers, you will be punished for your lack of acceptance and your worry about the skin tone of an unborn child meant as ridicule to a white father.
@@jean12fication At last a voice of reason. Thank you. How convenient that there appears to be a universal amnesia about the central issue about the word "concern"!!
@@jean12ficationthe discussion was had during the early months of the relationship, Megan was not even engaged to Harry at the time, let alone pregant.
Birbalsingh correctly points out the huge gulf between policy-makers and the reality of the classroom.
The real experts in education are: a) classroom teachers who get great results and inspire their pupils and b) the school leaders who enable these teachers.
Unfortunately policy-makers and journalists rarely talk to these people.
On top of this, researchers tend to believe that it is academics who are the experts, but they and are similarly out of touch.
Researchers should work to identify the effective things good teachers are doing, not try to invent their own ideas.
That makes sense. When I was at school there were some good teachers, a few great teachers, and many poor ones. Unfortunately the bad ones do huge damage. They mean well, they are probably dedicated, but their approach causes harm e.g. lining children up in order of achievement.
This is amazing. Thank you for making the point about behavior being an issue. I taught for years, but could not do it now with classrooms being zoos. I did not know it was also insane in Britain. So sad, when parents are allowing their kids to act this way. My dad would have killed me if my teachers let him know I was a problem in class. Sadly, the level of education is not helping, passing kids who haven't achieved their required grade-level competence. This is a huge issue in California, all about feelings and gender instead of educational excellence. Keep fighting the good fight, or we die!
This is a problem in Canadian schools. They no longer fail children because heaven forbid that a child stays behind a year and learn the material and not be with children of their peer group. My mum was a teacher and said you couldn’t pay her enough to put up with the bad behaviour that is allowed in the schools these days.
There are no consequences from parents, from agcool, from the police or any authority ..that is why behaviour is thr way it is...then add into the mix soft judges and social media
Refreshing views on culture and the need to all get along with each other, and the point about us all being from different cultural backgrounds but all citizens of the same country.
Sounds like an exciting school to be involved with.
She has had a fair amount of criticism from parents, news media and parents
Totally agree. As a person of color. I'm so bored of the victim narrative these days
❤❤
This intelligent woman has spoken the most common sense I’ve ever HEARD!! This is the type of human we need in government. Not these out of touch, glib, greedy men. Also the conversation on race and tribes, it is becoming this way and I find it incredibly frustrating and disturbing the way we are heading that we give credence to people like Meghan Markle and Omid Scobie. This woman is an inspiration, and sounds like a fabulous educator
Lady Davina Windsor 2 children Tane Mahuta and Senna Kowai both with New Zealand Maori ancestry through their now divorced father Gary Lewis already brought diversity - they are grand children if the Duke and Duchess of Gloucester and therefore the great great grand children of King George V and Queen Mary. There has been no whiff of racism about them as far as I know.
They are not on public display They arnt children of senior royals, I've never seen them on the balcony, They arnt first cousins to a future monarch They arnt grandchildren of the REIGNING king,And NOT ONE member of the royal family attended the wedding, So very different situation, And nobody but the media are using the word racist.
If the royals are so enlightened why did they accept BBC calling Archie a monkey?
Fantastic woman with excellent thoughts on education. Why on earth does she have such opposition for saying what needs to be said.
She probably has opposition from those with poor teaching and/or parenting skills/those with a minus IQ.
Came across this clip randomly.
I'm not a teacher by profession though I volunteered teaching English in Vietnam.
Your comments re: behavior and workload are spot on.
Also from personal experience, the lack of structure and support are factors too; I had the schedule change often on the day of and even during mid class! One morning my change in schedule commenced during class. My Philosophy 2 & 3 classes showed up in the same classroom at the same time! After I was handed this newest schedule change, I explained to the Philosophy 3 class that our session was the next morning and if they still wanted to meet again. They all said yes! Incredulous but true.
I concur with your thoughts too about not currying the color of one's skin.
We all belong to ONE race: the Human Race 👍 🇺🇲 💕 🇬🇧
This conversation is soooooooooo refreshing. Not only are these two ladies attractive, polite and have interesting and intellectual things to say, they are listening to one another. Fantastic 👏👏👏👏👏👏🇬🇧
She came in the Royal family to bring confusion and it doesn’t shame her it makes her feel happy.
This lady is amazing. We need more people like her. Especially teachers.
What a wonderful woman! I would definitely love to meet her and listen to everything she has to say.
You’re an inspirational educator. Brilliant! And every success in the future.
How uplifting. What a profoundly insightful viewpoint. Definitely will follow more of what she has to say.
I am white and I really like this, Teacher! She just made my day. She is very smart, and somewhat reminds me of Lady Colin C. I think Lady C and this woman would be great friends.
Amen. I love this woman!!
Well done Ms. Burbal -Singh you are a good, honest woman and a highly skilled professional. Lucky the children who are educated in your care.
I love this woman - she’s got more common sense in her pinky than any of these ‘woke’ idiots!
Gosh! She speaks truth!!!
How refreshing to hear someone brave enough to speak the truth about education. I could see the way it was going many years ago when I gave up the fight and left the profession as I disagreed with the changes being introduced. My word my concerns have proved to be more than justified by the collapse of both discipline and educational standards. Changes were made for the best of intentions I’m certain but they resulted in a mediocre system that lets down working class children of every colour and creed. Now the rot is in the fabric I can't see how things will ever be improved.
Well done for speaking up as you do. I wish more teachers are like you with your strong principles and conviction. 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Finally someone who speaks sense!!!
ThankYou ladies for addresses the problems that has been happening across the pond to my country.
My god, someone who says sensible things in 2023. Who knew...
I love it when an interviewee responds with intelligent and fair minded thought and comments.
Well, since there are no "allegations" other than from the vile trio, they have to lie and do so constantly
I like her. Being a teacher for 40 years, I can relate to everything she's saying.
This woman is brilliant! The kids that go to her school are lucky!! She was very interesting to listen to! I really really liked her outlook on cultures, race.
I am so proud of this lady standing up to the woke left from whence this interviewer comes. I am not disrespectful but have listened to this reporter in numerous clips of interviews to have gleaned her leaning.
However we need more grounded Ladies like this no nonsense hardworking teacher who do not pander to the corrupt left who are destroying the fabric of our society.
Kudos to Katharine Birbalsingh.👏👏👏
What a driven and obviously caring teacher. Fantastic role model for the teaching profession and life.
I welcome her to speak to the Swedish politicians. We have very similar issues with our school system, where teachers are afraid to deal with problematic youth. One teacher grabbed the arm of a troublesome youth to de-escalate a situation and ended up being reported to the police for abuse AND lost his job.
Yes it's a normal question ❓ hello meg is the one person that makes all a PR stunt 😡😡
Such common sense.I have never seen or heard her before and until SHE mentioned her Mother was Jamaican and her Father was Indian I never gave it a thought Now I do know, I couldn't care less anyway. My concern as a parent would be that she's qualified, fair, honest and approachable and she gets an A+ on all of those. I don't however like the interviewer who tried at every eventuality to push her own agenda and obviously Left of Centre sympathies.
Wow she is brilliant
Woke people and govt should listen to this!👍👍💪💪
Amazing interview
Very charismatic and honest
The reason for educating children is to give them skills for life - a life of providing food, shelter, clothing, hobbies, knowledge of their environment, history of their country and others, language, culture, traditions, art, science, social skills and to discover their talents and learn skills, to gain confidence and respect for others.
I so agree with this womans logic I think she is saying everything I feel

Brilliant! My daughter is a Head of Dept at here school - private and expensive! - here in South Africa and the stories that I hear and have actually witnessed myself when collecting my granddaughter from school, have been unbelievable!! Too numerous to mention but the race card is played to the hilt - never stops! My granddaughter who is Head Prefect - is white - and is continuosly abused by her fellow black students! My daughter is a brilliant teacher (not because she's my daughter!) but because of the time dedicated to teach and instil values but continously comes up against parents who refuse to see the behaviour of their children - very difficult!
What an inspiring brilliant woman who says it as it is. She should be the Education Secretary and we need more brave warriors like her. Fantastic
I have never not loved my European Caucasian ancestry. I am sick to death of white shaming.
This teacher is what every teacher should strive to reach . She’s a teacher to my heart and I too have found the ridiculous way that people behave around me and I wouldn’t accept an offer to work from a company that is looking to fill a quota in diversity and not my accomplishments . That company is mediocre and the people working there are mediocre as well not accomplished individuals bringing not only their diversity but their knowledge in their field of expertise .
We need a million more of this lady ❤
I Love this teacher. I'm a teacher in South Africa.
I found this interview so very interesting, what an amazing woman
She is excellent
Well said Katharine, handled the biased questioning very well.
As a retired Headteacher I love what she has to say
Number one teaching point don’t wallow in victimhood. Pull up your drawers and get on with your life.
The interviewed lady is great and a breath of fresh air. The interviewer not so much.
What would you expect, Megan is from Commifornia and she brought her liberal attitude with her ! 🙄😵💫
Oh I like this lady, couldn't agree more, what she is saying is absolutely correct. What is wrong with expecting children to behave properly and respectfully, it's a two way street and parents have to deal with their children's behaviour along side the teaching profession.
wow this lady is amazing. The main problem is the total lack of dicipline. Teachers need to be in control in the school environment. Parents should back them up too. These bloody soft soap parewnts who think there kids should be allowed to do exactly as they please, are wrong. Their kids are the ones who stop all the other kids from learning in the class room, with their rude disruptive behaviour. I am sick of the way schools are now. There is no dicipline or order.
A wonderful inspiring lady .
Can she be cloned? Every school needs her.

Its not fair on those that want to learn putting those that dont in the same class. A bored child will be disruptive. Its a no win for either group
