Really liked the video. You did a very good job. I tried to get one of those cars with the manual but I waited too long. Earlier this year I got a manual scat pack challenger. Love the dodge but I still wish I landed one of the last manual SS's. Thanks for posting it.

@@LimitedEditionMotorcars You are so right. Its a smaller & lighter package. Just a few more HP or a newer vette engine - maybe it would still be around. I think GM's marketing or lack of really sealed its fate.

@@cdale613 I agree! Can you imagine the possibilities if they threw their LT1 in it? The Charger would not stand a chance. If you drive the Charger and SS back to back you realize how horrible Charger's shandling really is. It's a boat anchor that can only go in a straight line if you can get traction.

The last German made Commodore was very well built however it suffered from a lack of power and also a narrow cabin compared to the Australian made Commodore (Chevy SS) that it replaced. The replacement German made Commodore was losing sales to the cheaper Astra and people were even commenting that the new Astra was a better car. See even though the Australian made Commodore (Chevy SS) was updated over the years, its design concept successfully blended proven motor/chassis/suspension and steering engineering suitable for long distance driving over rough roads with state of the art safety and parking technology never seen before in a mass produced car. This safety and parking technology was not included in the replacement German made Commodore. GMH also underestimated the patriotism of the Australian public and realized after severe financial losses that their forward planning team failed to increase market share, which nearly lead to the collapse of GMH in the Australian market.

I was involved with buying parts for the instrument cluster circuit board. You may not realise it but most of the components on the SS cluster board are the same as on the Malibu board but rearranged.
Also the 5th Gen Camaro was developed in part in Australia (the Zeta platform). there were quite a few development cars driving around the area where i live in Melbourne. It had no badges on it but to me it was obvious what it was and he wasn't too fussed about it being identified.
