Very good. You are so lucky with no wind. Even with the ' need ' for many modifications, I would still buy two dual kits so i can always hit reset and see what it is meant to be like. At the minute in Belfast the Eco-Worthy is £356.99 ($449.84) each on Amazon sale. They are this price every 2-3 months so once I pay off 2 x 48v 50ah banks, thanks to your good pointers and look a round I am closer to purchasing. Enjoy yourself and feel the power.

A couple of suggestions, first turn your actuators around to keep moisture out the of the cylinders, also reverse the mounting brackets to the outside of the beam, it will give you a better angle/fulcrum for more leverage, and one more, mount your panels in a square like a picture frame, it will leave the middle open. You will be able to get 4 panels on each unit but use the heavy uni struts to keep it rigid, this will equal and balance out the load thus putting less stress on the heavy side actuator.

I'll try that. The stock actuator on the long side failed and will not lift any more

Whts the LOAD MAX on the black actuators? Looking todo a 2 X 4 panel array.....adding 2 more of the upgraded struts u have on each side and place panels so half weight is main support while other half is on newly added strut. I see 3000N and 6000N actuators as upgrades....which to buy ?

Im now thinkin of buying this tracker. But one reservation is regarding the southern tip angle. Im in the UP where winter solstice sun rises only to 18 degrees into sky. Id like to know what angle the southern tilt can descend to. Is it only 45º downward? Or can it go lower? And for whatever angle it can tilt to, is the limit reached because of the actuator running out of length when it retracts? Or, is it because of a hardware stop, a collision between the top bar (labeled B) thats tilting south in the N/S axis, and the top of the main post right where the word "South" is printed? I mean, do they butt against each other so that even if I installed a longer actuator (18in?) a little lower on the main post to get a further tilt south, the "B" arm couldnt do it because of butting? If thats the case, them Im lookin to cut away some of that hard stopping edge on the top of the main post with a dremel metal blade or an angle grinder [oy vey]. Then bar "B" wouldnt have the hard stop and could descend a few degrees more downward, and we'd be back to resolving any limit in the tilt (both down and up) from actuator limits. Btw, can you say which company/website you got the acuator, esp if it held up to now? Any advice on this is appreciated as Im not sure the mfg wants to answer this. Thanks for this video documentation.

Why do care that the speed is slower? The earth does not rotate very quickly.

Some cold and windy days, Burr! Especially when I manually make the panels flat but point well taken 😅

@@region-7 OK, manually. Got It. Need a Remote Control from inside the house.
