There's no games being played right now. Football is pretty much dead right now. News is extremely slow. This is the perfect time to talk about it. If this were during the season then it would be a distraction.
The offseason of the year they’re actually being drafted would be a fine time to talk about it. Not now when they haven’t proven anything on the field yet.
Let’s be real, Deion does not have that level of influence over NFL team owners, coaches and GMs. Even if he did have it over some, he has no idea who will have the top 4 picks next year or who will be taken with top picks this year (it matters) or who how free agency will play out in 2025.
He proved that a team 90% of professional reporters and critics (including Vegas) said they would be incredibly lucky to win 2 games. Vegas said less than 4 and millions took the under. No team had ever done what he did. Over 80 new team members. Cut it out. Newspapers, UA-cam have the receipts. Don't try to rewrite history.

I'm so sick of hearing that, it's a privilege to be in the NFL. Your skills and talent got you there. These guys have been programmed so long. They sound like slaves. Actually makes a lot of sense. There are teams like Pittsburgh for example who are good at drafting and developing quarterbacks, whereas patriots and some other teams are not. However, patriots are/were good at developing some line backers when BB was there. The team you go too def matters. QB just matters the most but doesn’t mean the other skill positions don’t.
It's the off season for college football, so the focus can be anywhere he wants. Once the games begin focus shifts!! This makes for great conversation nothing more.
Deion told you last year, "you better get me now". He meant it. He can speak now, because he knows what he has in the locker room and CU will make it to the playoffs and win.

Prime is doing exactly whatvi would want my coach to do, politic for me. And the other players love it because they get the scouts and the eyes to watch them more than ever to increase their stock of they truly ball. The other players have no excuses if they don't ball out and get looked at.
Puts unnecessary pressure on the kid too tho…a narrative that will follow him all season, what if has a down or just ok season? He would have been wiser to keep this to himself.
People don’t understand the promise he made to Hunters parents to protect him like he was his own son, and that’s what he has done.
this is genius by Prime, he is showing he has his players backs and want them to be stars in NFL. more players are going to want to go to Colorado because they will know Prime has their back and get them in the best possible spot in NFL. You are going to see more top players opting to go to Colorado even if they can get more money somewhere else.

In my opinion, Deion is, in part, doing this for recruiting. Recruits, and their families, see a coach saying he is going to not only try to win with them, he is going to try to get them in position to win at the next level.

Everyone looks at Colorado as a team but there’s plenty of great QB’s that had bad college records . Colorado was also completely flipped in a couple months . That’s never happened before . This will be their first full year as a team . When you put that into account with how incredible the Pac 12 was last year and how close they were most games with no o line/d line and completely new staff as well with no identity it’s pretty amazing . That’s just looking at the game objectively . Forget the name and the jewelry blah blah blah that’s unheard of .
