Yep. It's a fun hobby to collect, and it just feels a lot nicer to listen to something physical. I collect CDs though, because vinyls are more expensive and I don't own a record player. Also from what I can tell, there's a slightly bigger hassle when buying them compared to a CD. There's nothing wrong with collecting them though, I bet having bigger artwork is pretty cool.
Whenever I get a used CD or Cassette, I wipe and clean it using disinfectant spray. I wipe the case, booklet, the CD or Cassette throughly. It works really well as it gets rid of the dirt and germs. Whenever I get a used CD where the case is broken, I have clear new ones that I can put the CD, booklet, and cover in to. But if I get a broken Cassette case, I'm going to have to deal with it since I don't have any new clear Cassette cases. Nevertheless though, I love buying physical music and it makes me feel good that not only I can look at it when I'm listening but I'm also supporting the artist I love.
Good video. It's definitely unfortunate things to deal with. I haven't bought CDs in some time but I can imagine if i ever start again I'll be encountering alot of these
Im a last-mile bike messenger and Ive got a couple record collectors on my route. As a former record collector, it pisses me off, because i inherently take extra care while packing their records in my bag which can interrupt my delivery flow, cuz i can't always put my deliveries in order...I hope they appreciate it
This was a great video! Love my vinyl records and always have! I’ve experienced every malady that you mentioned here but the most frustrating is the poor packaging! Amazon is notorious for just tossing an album into an oversized box with a haphazard ill fitting piece of bubble wrap! Oh and I also hate that people wrote their name on album covers! I guess that was a thing back in the day to make sure your copy of Nazareth-Hair of the Dog doesn’t get mixed up with your friend’s copy LoL! Peace ☮️✌️👽🤘☮️
I remember a few months ago, I bought a CD on Van Halen 1 on Amazon. But when I opened the case, the cd fell onto the floor because there were no teeth to hold the cd for some reason.
I've bought second hand cds from charity shops for 50p and you can tell they are old because they have the large compact disc logo on the front of them .
Download your favourite songs from wherever for nothing and just transfer them onto cd, tape ,reel to reel or get them cut onto vinyl or even wax cylinder .
Do you still buy physical media?
but of course

And also buying from a secondhand store like goodwill for a example you find the disk is not in the damn case. That is a huge pain in the ass.
