  • Green screen movie magic in toy photography, Photo Dave? What do you mean?
We've all seen green screens when it comes to making movies, but not too many of us have played with them when it comes to static imagery like action figure photography. So, I decided I'd get one to play with, as well as show you how to use it, and cut it out, in Photoshop for your toy photos.
Plus, I'm gonna try to use it to improve my video background.
If all that sounds cool to you, grab a delectable beverage and check out today's video.
    Have fun, and happy snapping!

I prefer actual backgrounds but out of laziness more than anything else I got to the green screen. I have a green poster board that I slip into my set. Dollar Tree sells a perfect chroma green color one. Years ago when I worked on some nefarious amateur videos I picked up some cost saving tips like using the poster board for green screens, we had like 20 of them taped to the wall and floor. Still use my old video editing software to do my photos, I really should do a video with the figures someday.

I'm with ya on actual backgrounds...I just need to save up to get some dios and accessories. And I'm all about shooting on the cheap...my editing software and camera equipment's pretty old. Really love the green posterboard idea, too! And when you make that video, let me know

Hey there! Thanks a ton for checking out the channel. As for your question, I don't currently have the room to use as much light as I'd like. BUT, if I did, I'd use two large box lights, then reflectors and smaller lights to fill in dark / light areas. The object is always to get the green as even as possible. If you have any other questions, feel free to ask
