I think Erwin and Levi came to terms and accepted the fact that Mike was killed. When Erwin and Levi have their last conversation together in Shiganshina, they imagine a bunch of deceased veteran scouts surrounding them, and Mike was among them; with the way Erwin described them, they're indirectly referred to as fallen comrades.
I love how he's always at the forefront of Erwin's flashbacks to the fallen scouts, because he is one of the coolest, most popular dead characters. But realistically, you could take him out of the show entirely and lose next to nothing. Criminally underutilized.....
It really does suck he shouldn't have died so early. Isayama gives connie who is an actual waste of space a million % plot armor, it's why I can't take the anyone can die approach that the series is trying to set up.

If he's not killed by Zeke, Mike might be killed at Shiganshina. He might be either caught off guard by the boulders thrown by the Beast Titan at supersonic speed just like the 3 squads sent by Erwin or be killed by the Colossal Titan just like Hange's squad when Bertoto nuked Shiganshina. He might still survive just like Levi and Mike can kill the Titans at the opposite side of Levi cornering Zeke and maybe cutting the Cart Titan's escape route.
It is so sad that Miche's fight scenes in the manga was mostly cut off in the animation;; in the manga Miche's death is much more shocking. It shows how weak humanity is to titans

We did get that, in 57th expedition they both strucked Annie's crystallized hands but it was only for a short period of time (miche was wearing a SC hoodie, you may havnt recognized him on that scene)

I think that Isayama actually realised that Mike had to be killed off EARLY in the series no matter what if he wanted AOT to be as interesting as it is. Although no confirmation, we can tell from how Isayama plans AOT that if Mike had survived, the story would in fact, be a lot less intersting. Imagine this, Gelgar and Thomas went against the 9 abnormal titans (remember that they are veterans from Mike's squad that also survived for the past 5+ years) while Mike personally went to inform Erwin about the breach of Wall Rose instead, what do you think will happen? Gelgar and Thomas would probably replace Mike's fate and with Mike living on, he would be with the scouts arriving to help at Utgard's Castle instead. This also means Mike would inform Erwin about the existence of the Beast titan BEFORE the rest knew about it to be prepared. Go one step further, he would have also known about Reiner and Bertholdt's TRUE identity, allowing him to garner even MORE knowledge on Titan Shifters. How about Season 2 Episode 11 and 12? He would DEFINITELY survive alongside Erwin and IF he was tasked to help Eren out, Hannes wouldn't have even died. If you think about that, it would mean Reiner wouldn't 100% know if Eren had the Founding titan and Ymir could have stayed with Historia, making matters VERY BAD for Reiner and Bertholdt returning to Marley. Looking EVEN further, the Return To Shiganshina arc would be the most impactful, with Mike smelling out Reiner's hiding spot, Zeke's spinal wine AND Zeke across the distance. Erwin would also task Mike to take the Beast titan down TOGETHER with Levi. I mean, don't tell me you think Mike would be part of the suicide charge, right? From here, Zeke will be taken down WAY faster, Pieck coming to save him ALSO recognised and successfully capturing BOTH Zeke AND PIECK at one shot. What does this mean? Reiner and Bertholdt will ALSO have no help, and ALL 4 titan shifters would have been captured at one go, with Ymir still there if she possibly stayed. I mean what do you think? The show would be so boring and we probably wouldn't even need a Season 4 from there on anymore LOL

He's not stupidly strong, but both skilled and useful in a variety of specialties and situations, to the point where he can stick around and support almost any frontline character, and might still survive. That should get him killed by Isayama as soon as possible. A well-balanced skill set at expert level in almost every area means he is the most annoyed one for the enemy to handle. (It's crazy how much he can turn the tide of battle with just a *sniff*)

From here, Zeke will be taken down WAY faster, Pieck coming to save him ALSO recognised and successfully capturing BOTH Zeke AND PIECK at one shot. What does this mean? Reiner and Bertholdt will ALSO have no help, and ALL 4 titan shifters would have been captured at one go, with Ymir still there if she possibly stayed. I mean what do you think? The show would be so boring and we probably wouldn't even need a Season 4 from there on anymore LOL
Agree. He's not stupidly strong, but both skilled and useful in a variety of specialties and situations, to the point where he can stick around and support almost any frontline character, and might still survive. That should get him killed by Isayama as soon as possible. A well-balanced skill set at expert level in almost every area means he is the most annoyed one for the enemy to handle. (It's crazy how much he can turn the tide of battle with just a *sniff*)

It’s crazy because in the first AOT game (I play a lot) they hype Mike up a lot throughout the game🤣 they’re constantly saying “he’s second only to Levi, humanity’s second strongest” and he’s an S tier character, but I remember playing the game and I was like “…Who is this guy again?” So I re watched the series but I realized in the actual show they gave him no attention, I literally was like “oh there he is!!…Annnndd he’s dead😐” I was so confused haha, sucks I really liked his character!

Mike and Levi's squad only died because they couldn't predict what a titan shifter could do in their titan form, they had never been in touch with them, they didn't know they could talk or prioritize the healing of a certain body part. Let alone the hardening or commanding other titans. So they couldn't properly defend themselves or attack 😢. P.S.: Why the heck did you have to scream, Mike? The titans were still frozen. At least you had a tiny chance 😭
