I can still name 90% of their roster 10 years later and I quit wow years ago: Sco, Treckie, Justwait, Pottm, Rogerbrown, Blatty, Sparkuggz, Kuznam, Vykina, Infeh, Razzie, Nagura, Imsupersdw, Pacteh, Lorgok, Sonie, Leeds, Noxe, Ashvael, Perfecto, Aladya, Strydem, Apku, Deac & Kreps. So much people belive that hardcore players are just shutting out all the humor and enjoyment of the game and just play to be good, this video shows really well how much fun they have and how much they enjoy the game.
All I gotta say to people who think TBC raids were harder than this is:

BC raids were very hard... at the time! Because people were not used to fights as complex as they are now days, if Lei Shen was the last boss of Sunwell... it probably wouldn't have died until Wotlk. xD
Not to mention a lot of fights in BC were really overtuned and required a lot of class stacking, hate on me if you want but imo fights these days have improved a lot.
Nah you guys should also look in perspective ;) if the Boss would have been out by then, the players would have adapted and not a lot of Boss progress would have been till now I think. The Boss tactics made a huge leap from T4 Bosses like Gruul or such to T5 Bosses (Vashj and Kael), which were total killerbosses, even with Full T6 equipment.
Then the next big leap was from BC to Ulduar (Naxx had no real new mechanics of any kind). Ulduar introduced quite a lot of new mechanics that were a lot of fun. Still since Ulduar the Boss progress is not that big anymore. There are some sure, like Lei Shen who are difficult, but mostly due to the massive amount of Abilities the boss has. Back in BC you had less but more deadly abilities that would kill the whole raid in a few seconds. And back then, with less defensive specials and way less group heal that was devasting.
Nowadays there sure are abilities that kill you in an instant if you don't follow tactics, but that's because you could otherwise heal it out ;)
Also as for classstacking: well you only don't need it nowadays anymore as Blizzard made CC and such available for everyone, lot's of classes offering the same abilities.
Heh lets do a comparison shall we, World 1st M'uru took SK Gaming 1k whipes atleast, KJ about the same, ask Method how much they whiped on this fight, you get your answer. Stop with the bs that fights are way harder now, they are more complex but not HARDER, that I can guarantee.
Daniel Lobo fights sure did improve a lot for pussies :) BC bosses weren't overtuned, except for Kael when he was unkillable, M'uru and KJ were killable even when it required HUNDREDS of whipes for guilds to maybe get them down

Watched this video the first time around the end of April, 2013. FD Lei Shen May. 17th 2013.
It is now 2018. I still remember 180 wipes on this boss; still remember we had 4 rogues and 1 mist monk for intermissions because we only had 3 warlocks portals and mistweaver was counted as a melee; still remember we had to gear up 2 DKs for the mass grip; still remember brew monk's insane 200k dps; still remember team chat during intermission down times; still remember the nerd scream and cry at the end of the raid.
Quited WoW 1 hour after the FD of Lei Shen. Everything left for the guild. My valor points that week came solely from heroic raids.
Ah. How life has changed.

+Pistonx45x Yeah hehe,but did you know that Pottm is responsible for making addons and weakauras? Addons and weakauras which are today used for mythic Archimond are all pattern of his addons which he made for guild :)
I love how progressively the music gets more intense. At the beginning there's a lot of banter and laughs but the later in the fight the more focused shotcalling becomes. I just love this kill video.

Foverskov4300 good chances are they will. theyx are a tad better then method and they where the only guild to bring down the lichking during 5% nerv. before that(0%) noone brought him down. also they p much dominated cata (except DS due a bann) by a landslide.
that being said. i do prefer method more as they seem to have much more fun then paragon do. and fun (even if it sounds weird) is still a part of the game.
GoodOldN1ghty I wouldn't say their that much better than Method, back in TBC I'm sure Method was one of 2 guild to ever kills Vashj before he major nerf to mind control and in itself is a major achievement.

I really enjoy watching Method videos, the guys are really chill without ragers (I'm sure that during their attempts there was plenty of raging) But they just seem like a bunch of friends that enjoy the game, their communication shows that to me. Props to Method on WF garrosh and lei'shen and all the others!

Method, you guys work so well together the only person I wasn't fond of in this video was the American tank. He sounds rude from other videos as well. Take care of Leeds or Leads, he's alright, don't make fun of him too much. The happiness at the end when you kill Lei Shen is epic. I love how happy and enthusiastic you all are, especially the girls. It's authentic, legitimate happiness. Your vids are great, please keep them coming and best of luck in the next expansion. We're rooting for you!!!

That tops the Ragnaros HC Paragon kill, the teamwork and people suiciding with instant resses was impeccable.
Truly a great kill in a great tier for WoW.
A lot of players will leave the game after this due to IRL and general WoW direction but this leaves a great legacy.

While that is true, refer to the first point. The rune of re origination for ferals is everything. its better then anything you can get anywhere in the current content.
also, if you find a group which does 11/13 HC TOT in 1 hour, ill tka ethat chance. we usually do all 13 bosses but lei shen wipes us 2-3 times depending on whetever or not we have experienced or inexperienced players.
And it still drops better then Flex because flex doesnt drop at all for me lol. i got 1 item this ID; and 1 item last ID. the same 2 items btw i recieved another ID before.

This race was super tight between blood legion and method. MoP is arguably when raids got to the difficulty they are today, although with less weak aura’s.

IMHO I think the entire lore and everything about Lei Shen is incredibly well done, Blizzard certainly put a lot of work into it to give you that old "TBC feel of raiding" Well done Blizzard, Well done.

I agree with you. What I meant by finding these people was that there ARE guilds out there with decent people who can push heroic progress whilst still having fun. I'm in one now, and apart from times where people need to be called out for mistakes they made or times where we have to focus and be serious, there's a very relaxed and jovial atmosphere whilst raiding, and we do a lot outside raids in other games and just chatting on mumble. It's like a separate circle of friends not just other ppl.

The thunderstruck hammer he throws out hits really hard, harder the closer you are to where it's thrown. The little sparks spawn and cause damage when they spawn every 45 seconds to a minute and you have to be spread out 8 yards when they spawn or you will take stacking damage from more than one spark, he does his lightning whips which he has done for the whole fight, and there is the bursts of wind that push you back and cause higher and higher damage as the fight goes longer.
I've never watched Method before but it makes me happy to see they have so much fun and joke around while being the highest-rated guild ever! You'd expect them to be overly serious, but they seem like fun guys :) That's what I always look for in a guild but I haven't found it yet.

one of my favorite kills ever the transition of music around 10:30 you can start to hear the panic in their voices with the callouts as the boss is getting close to dead

I agree with you both in some ways. As far as an end boss it was a let down, but some difficulty was there pre nerf. And the only reason why Paragon and Kin had so many wipes were because they were progressing through it before there were any videos or explanations. They are the guys who do the videos for all the other raiders in the world.
Ha, yeah, seriously, the gradual transition from random nonsense and joking around to seriousness then super-seriousness then excitement and relief is fucking epic and a brilliant insight into world class raiding.

The life drains during the spectrum phases are handled by 3 melee in the blue stack,but since you've it's a random target,if a person in yellow/red gets you either have to grip the person to the blue stack to face the life drain towards the blue side and if you didn't have that available in most cases during progression that person would die and the boss would heal by a shit lot.Since red/yellow are constantly moving and red can't afford to stop unless it's at an add.

Ra-den is an optional heroic-only boss and he is available only after you kill Lei Shen Heroic. So when Method killed Lei Shen, the entrance to Ra-den's chamber is opened.

Love how casual it is, joking about someone's cat. Then they make it through the second transition with all rezzes up, and someone calls for "full focus guys" and the voice chat goes like, military efficient all of a sudden.
SHIT JUST GOT SERIOUS BOYS.
Listen in to somewhere around 20% in, they are talking about cats and sleep and laughing. Go to 70% of the movie and they are talking about mages doing this, run there and use that. Go to 95% in and listen to a chorus of happy and relieved voices. Epic.

These videos are very educational. I would recommend watching these to new raiders and old hats alike. The mechanics in this fight are not too hard to master. The most important thing i noticed is that you are having fun and laughing about random stuff while raiding. That's the sort of atmosphere I like in a guild. I don't like serious guild were no one makes a joke. It's only a game and guilds like Method show us how to have fun and be a great raiding guild.

was unaware they did that. a friend in blood legion was certainly raiding all day for much longer than a week after heroic mode was released, just assumed method did the same. tbh if thats true im extremely surprised how well they do compared to the hours other guilds are putting in

I really do like this guild. Just the joking around with each other while attempting a world first. It's nice to see it because this sort of comradery is hard to find in this game anymore. Which in my opinion is it's biggest flaw. The community of WoW has died and that's what has caused a downhill in the game. Though content wise I really enjoy it and think it is going uphill from the perspective.
I was wondering that same thing when I saw he did that. On Noxxic they said to spam Explosive shot with lock and load procs, but i've always done the explosive-arcane-explosive-arcane-explosive when it procs.
