Dude I'm drooling over that beauty..... I have one I'm so tempted to buy but I have my second little one on the way. An identical 333 Dimebolt.....maybe dad should splurge one more time before baby comes eh???
My favorite shape Guitars to play are ML. Although I mostly make mine. 24 frets... 25.5" scale. Homemade bodies. And the Pointy Stealth style too.. For a Few .... \,,/
Hey Bigfoot, I pulled my 1996 Washburn D-333 DIME Slime (since has been custom painted) and am going to install an Original Floyd Rose on it Note: I am changing Grover Tuners,Floyd, and Nut to all black as I painted it (Guitar) Platinum right after getting it back in 2000 Brand New.I cannot find much info for this task, but I found an older forum that the guys were saying that a FR Original doesn't line up as the Pot Metal Chrome version that came with Guitar is made by Schalller ! I see you have a black Schaller on your DIME Bolt.I dropped around 230.00 USD so this comes as a huge blow to me as it's too late to return the OG FR. My question is .....Do I need a Schaller version Floyd Rose OG (Germany) of course. Also, How large of a Brass Block can I go and still install the Back Plate ???? Any other Tips would be appreciated Silencing Springs, Claw,Etc. I hope I hear back from you as I know you're a Die Hard DIME Fan and fellow Shredder.Thank You ! \m/-
I know this is late but schaller locking trems and floyds are are exactly the same dimensions maybe some minor differences but not to the point where it affects install, to measure block depth you need calipers or a tape measurer and measure the block to the base plate. If it’s a flush mounted floyd the block will probably be smaller and if it’s top mounted it will likely be bigger.
@@djritm3215 It's a Floating Tre, system 100% . I picked u[ a Schaller all black Trim and even got a CS SD Diablo pickup to super charge that MF. Finishing a 2 tone Distress and will have a solid D-333. I only wish it was a Mahogany body, but Alder works fine for Modern Metal. Do you have a Solid Brass block on yours ? I have a 37mm, but if i can go bigger i will pick one up.
It honestly depends from guitar to guitar as even within the same models the factories will use different bridges or whatever they have on hand. If you haven’t yet pick yourself up a measuring caliper and take some measurements of your existing bridge for purchasing the new etc. Most of the time there if some kinda of modification that needs to be done whether major or minor. As for slicing spring noise I usually just rock a bit of foam under my springs 🤘🏻 hope that helps
I have 4 dime 333's autographed trendkill, concrete sledge, and 2 lightning bolt which one is for sale! I'm not big on the deans, I prefer the washburn .
I wish I would've pulled the Trigger on the Concrete Sledge. They were 1100 USD 5 years ago, and the red model I think it was called the ML Blade not sure (Alzheimers) also stopped production. How do you like the Concrete Sledge ? USA or Korea ? Thanks-

I just restored a 2006 Razor back with the gray lining and had to plug and redrill the claw screw and did a full detail on and loved iit so much I got a rust razor a month after ;) Wish I had one of these though!
Anyone know why so many of these Washburn Dime guitars are always beat to shit? I've seen too many that have damaged necks, rust and alot of the chrome peeling off. Almost like a shitload of children bought these guitars LoL
That's it. They are Kids that easy come ,easy go. Get a wild hair and Mom & Dad get 'em that trendy Guitar and don't take the time to cover it with a towel or put in the Case. That's another thing, a lot of Guitars do not come w/Cases anymore. Petty. I mean you spend a grand or more on a Guitar, take 150-200 USD & get a damn Case.
Man I got an old Dime o Flame. The finish is all fucked up. I'm thinking of doing Lambo orange with black lightning. It's something original but still an homage to the one and only. Of course I'd want to put stainless steel frets on that bad boy.

trem just dropped right in! I initially bought the wrong size nut so just kept the original on, recently bought the proper size nut and will be replacing soon

I've had my 333 in a case for basically 20 years and I had it custom painted right when I got it. Put DIME's favorite pickups in it ('59 & Dimebucker) 333's are Alder though, not Mahogany like the D-3. I'm going to take out the Duncans and put Bare Knuckles in it. WarPigs should be fitting or Nailbombs.The Volume Pot broke down the Split on the spline or shaft. I'm going to upgrade the Pots. Any suggestions on who make the best Pots ?

@@teriakamoto OG Floyd is the way to go, the thread's won't strip on the saddles as easily as the other's. I had to redrill the post holes for the Floyd I installed though.

Playing that main CFH riff - try starting it with an upstroke and alternate pick from there; picking movements make a lot more sense
I have the same guitar but with the washburn floyd, and my strings sound dull, I dont know why, any advices??
When I saw the video pic. I thought WOW I bet that would look even cooler with a purple binding or some kind of purple here and there.
I just refret my dimebolt333 last month. It was very satisfying to breathe new life into a great guitar 😁
