Hi, I don't have the 450MT yet I'm afraid and I'm not sure it'll be here before I leave. The Romania trip is as a guide with Magellan Motorcycle Tours, so I have a group of 15 to get to Romania and back, so I expect I'll do it on my R1250GS. It would be interesting to do the trip on the CFMoto, but as I'm doing it for work, I should really stick with what I know will definitely do the trip (and has BMW Assist if it doesn't). I'm quite sure the CFMoto would do it, and well, but if my well serviced BMW breaks down unexpectedly and is replaced, then I can apologise to the group for my delay. If a brand new, untested bike breaks down and I'm left stuck, that isn't great for the guests, so I'll play safe for now. I like your channel. I was originally drawn in by the CRF300 Rally, and I was disappointed that you sold it. I moved on from other channels that got rid of their Rally, but not this one. as long as you are making dual sport and small adv bike content, I’ll be watching. I’m interested in your thoughts on the MT 450. I find that one really intriguing. And let’s see the trail 125! I’ll watch anything Honda...
I didn't sell it, I just had other things to do. I still have the bike and a few mods to make. I have the 550 Performance ECU, not much to show for the fitting, but if I can find someone with a stock bike, I'd like to dyno them side by side. I also have the 550 performance snorkel/airbox mod to fit. Perhaps some spotlights and if I run out of other things, I still have a set of CRF250SM road wheels with CRF300 bearings to do a supermoto conversion. As with everything, it's a question of time. I'll try to do as much as I can. There's a few other new bikes coming out that I'd like to try; the new Himalayan 452, the Voge 900DSX, Benelli triple and more. Let's see what I can borrow! 🤣
@@PeakMotorcycles oh, my bad! I didn’t realize that. That’s awesome! Yes, I did the 550 Performance stock improved for a little while on my 300 Rally, and then sent it back and upgraded to the stage 1.5.., I was happy with both tunes for what they are worth. I’m enjoying upgrading in incremental steps like this. I just recently swapped out my rear sprocket from a 40T to a 42T and let me tell you, together with performance mods, and the new sprocket combined, it’s a totally different machine from stock... But, with that said, my Rally topped out at 81mph stock, and it still tops out at 81mph! So I haven’t sacrificed any of my top end for high way travel. The sprocket gave me that extra torque and low end pep I needed to wheelie easier without having to grab a handful of clutch. Also, I was able to retain the stock chain for now. I just upgraded the axle blocks in order to make chain adjustments easier.. I’m loving my 300 Rally more and more with every upgrade. I try and space out the upgrades a few months apart so that I can get a good feel for what each of them or worth. and next year I might even be upgrading to the stage 3 big bore kit!
@@airadaimagery692sounds like I have a bit more to do then! Since last summer I’d mostly been riding my Kove and R1250GS on Karoo 4’s and then did a couple of days in Spain with BMW on a 1300GS. In April I had a trail day to guide and switching back, the CRF is such a nice bike to ride. I know it’s not Enduro light, but compared to the GS it’s a feather, and while the Kove is a lot of fun, it also needs some care as it can be a bit shouty. The CRF was a joy, so it’ll definitely be getting some more attention this year.
Picking up my new Triumph tiger rally pro 900 this morning from Triumph Chesterfield - was wondering whats the best road tyres are with it being 21 front we dont have as much choice ive always had Michelin Road 6's & 5's on my other Tigers cheers
Tyres is a bit of an emotional subject 🤣. I guess everyone is different. For me personally, I’m a fan of Metzeler Roadtec 01’s (though the 02’s are now out but I haven’t tried them yet) I think they shed water better than the road 5’s though I’ve never done a back to back comparison. Though for a Rally Pro, are you sure you want to put road tyres on it? It’s the more trail focused version of the bike, so perhaps Karoo 4’s!?

Will there be a CRF spotlight fitting video this year?
I hope so. I was going to fit them to my Kove, but then I've ordered a Rally Tower with lights, so need to put them somewhere.
