Thank you to Lance for sponsoring this video’s coffee!! Folks, this was a hard one to film, and you can see it on my face and hear it in my voice. I didn’t mean for this to be so … depressing LOL. But this channel is about me and my life, and I’m not going to sugar coat it for you all. This was my experience in college and I wanted to share that as well as all the beautiful things this place has to offer. Anyway, hope you all enjoy and get a kick out of the old photos too! ❤️❤️
Rollins is what brought our family to WP in the 60’s. My dad was Dean of the College and an economic professor until his retirement. Was married at Knowles, kids were all baptized there, and many memorial services. Went to all WP schools. Glad you had a nice day reminiscing!
Oh my goodness! Lots of family history at Rollins for you then! That is so cool, thank you so much for sharing all of that!! Knowles is GORGEOUS and a beautiful place to get married! My mom, dad, and brother all went to Rollins too so I have some family history there as well. :) Thank you for watching and for sharing!!
@@CristheGirl very cool that you have family history as well. I believe my dad was co-creator of Fox Day on the library grounds back when Hugh McKean was President. Also another tid bit…where the gym is, was where I started ballet at Royal School of Dance at the age of 4. Pretty much did ballet until age 18. Also took piano lessons for 4 years in portables on the road leading to Dinky Dock. On the corner down from the gym we lived on campus in a very old 2 or 3 story house…there is some big memorial stone in its place now. Went to Park Avenue elementary which was owned by Rollins from 1964-1966. There I met my best friend, at the time, Amanda Bearse, who played Marcy on Married with Children. I grew up in a home on north Park Avenue, just down from the golf course. The memories I have of old WP are fabulous. Was a beautiful little town to grow up in. Thanks for the reply and your time reading mine. Looking forward to more of your vlogs. 😎
@@janie2142 Oh my goodness Janie, that is AMAZING!!! I didn't even think to mention Fox Day in my video haha! That is so cool, I really appreciate you sharing all of this! Winter Park is a beautiful area and Rollins is a lovely school. Sounds like you have tons of great memories there!! I walked down Park Ave near that golf course many times! So thank you so much for sharing, this was really fascinating! I hope you enjoy the videos in the future! :)
This is so kind Dennis, thank you! Working at Disney after college helped me get out of my shell more, and now I really enjoy talking with and meeting new people! I really appreciate the kind words, thank you so much!
Great video Steven the Girl! Lol Somewhere out in the world at any point in time, at Starbucks, a Steven will grab a coffee with the name Cris on it. For sure. This was so awesome getting to experience you walking around your former school. Rollins College is beautiful from here I’ve been on a lot of college campuses, and that is a really nice one. One thing I really love about your channel have always loved about channel is how genuine and honest you are. You never sugarcoat anything and you always give your honest opinions. I know a lot of people who had that great college experience, but I think the majority of people are in the same boat as you and I. College was stressful! and on top of that I had to work during it. So, totally get where you’re coming from and I think it really adds to your video. I’m sure there are kids in high school right now thinking about going to Rollins, and good thing you made this video, so it paints them a bigger picture. I loved seeing all the photographs that you added into the videos especially the penguin! As you saw me.. I was cracking up. That is so good! “Hello there Mrs. penguin!” ( Billy Madison voice ) The Fred Rogers statue is immaculate and so beautiful. I believe this is the first time I’ve ever saw it! It’s so cool you went to the same school as one of my childhood heroes. That makes a lot of sense now. The two sweetest human beings to ever walk the face of the earth went to the same college. This video was awesome but now I want to go there someday and experience at all with you there and the real. Yes, I would like to make a video. That would be cool for you to point out some things to share your stories. Getting to see your forward dorm / your college stomping grounds is priceless to me! I know I say this every video, but they just keep getting bigger and better. This is one of my favorites that you’ve ever done. My new fave, I wish I could’ve been there with you babe but I’m so happy I could watch this back and relive these moments with you. I also think the title is brilliant immediately thought of the Rodney Dangerfield movie too! Back to School Greg Video Cris the Girl
Lol how many people clicked on this video thinking I did a filming location on Back to School only to find me blabbering about my past?? As I said to someone else in the comments, I will leave those to the experts ;) I am so glad you enjoyed this one!! It's ok you weren't there, we will go back together so you can film it! You will love the statue, I can't wait for you to see it in person!! I can't believe I didn't tell you I used to be a penguin.. probably something I should have mentioned before we started dating... :P Lol I think you are right about the coffee, thankfully Steven and I ordered the EXACT same thing at the same time!! I hope this video helps out people, that is always my goal with these videos. Whether it's helping a kid decide what college to go to or just putting a smile on someone's face because I'm Steve the Girl now. Thank you for the kind words sweetheart, I'm so glad you liked this video!!
I felt the same about college. I was shy, introverted just awkward. Lots of bad memories as well. I’m 55 now and have evolved into a confident strong woman
Same experience for me in College. I am an introvert also. I did not make any real friends at College. College was all business for me. All of my friends were from my High School. We still hung out during my College days. We had a rock band together and I have many fun memories from those music days playing at different events and places. But I did love my College and still go back there often and relive my memories. I made new memories with my kids there. I would take them there and let them play outside. I now take my Grandson there as well. Now, beside having music in common, I loved Anthropology as well. I had one class in it and the teacher was AWESOME. He made me want to change degrees. So I have that in common with you as well. I graduated with an Accounting degree. I originally was a Chemistry Major for Pre Med purposes, but, changed to Accounting. By the way my name is the same as the name on your cup ! Wow. I enjoyed your video and I love your Campus. So beautiful. However I bet it was humid ! The thing I really loved and still think about is the atmosphere of learning at College. It was a feeling of hope and the feeling you could do anything. It made feel like I could (would) make a difference in the world. Now... I don't know if I really did. But the feeling was a higher feeling that made me feel optimistic about life. I can still feel that sometimes when I go back as I see all the young students walk by. Thanks for sharing the video. Yes I would take Jay there. He will enjoy hearing your stories and learning about you and your feelings there.....
Thank you so much, so glad you enjoyed this video! It is definitely tough being an introvert in this world, but we definitely have a lot of gifts to offer the world! Thank you for watching!
I'm sorry to hear that, but I can also relate. Having moved around a lot in my lifetime and other reasons, I never had many friends or lifelong friends either. There are a select few people in my life though that are special to me and I wouldn't have it any other way honestly. Thank you for watching!
Steve the girl, bless your heart! this video is why your channel is so refreshing and relatable. It's reassuring to hear others are or have experienced loneliness or felt out of place (especially around bougie people)...long story. It's so cool to hear about all the subjects and classes you took. Great video and thanks for sharing another part of your story.
lol! Thank you, I'm so glad you enjoyed this video! Yeah I think more people out there than perhaps we realize have had tough experiences in college. Certainly everyone has at least felt lonely and ostracized at one point in their life. I'm happy to share my experiences and hope in some way it helps others! Thank you again! I appreciate your kind words!!
Indeed! I think your videos help spread kindness, realness, and adventure no matter how far or close you go. Keep up the good work! I never got the college experience, but went straight to work for people with money. Some were kind and some made my life hell. When I quit, I had lost all faith in humanity... traveling helped me get it back.
I can appreciate your college experience. I was a Psych major with pre-med/ pre-law thrown in at a state university. When I went to college, it was just starting to be less of an expression and debate of ideas and more of an indoc style of take it or we will flunk you. I left in my third year to serve in the Marines, and finished my last year after I got out at a private college. THAT experience was far better! Speaking of Mr. Rogers statues. There's one of him in Pittsburgh by the Allegheny County Law Enforcement memorial. Not THAT is a creepy statue! I can appreciate most art, even some of the far out art, but IMHO, I don't think it does him justice.
OH WOW. I just looked up that statue in PA and ohhhh my... I have to agree with you, I'm not sure it's my favorite statue ever. Yikes. I'll have to try to visit it at some point though! The one here at Rollins is definitely better!! Oh, I completely agree with you about college, and that was one of my biggest struggles that I didn't get into in the video. The whole notion of school and how we treat education is something I am not a fan of to say the least. I did not do very well in school mainly for that reason, and I know so many other people struggle with "traditional" school methods as well. Sounds like you had your hands full back then!! I do not envy that school schedule at ALL! At least it is all behind us now haha! Thank you for sharing and for watching!!
Hey Cris. I just subscribed to your channel. I am going to check out your videos. Saw you from Jay's videos. Wish you guys all the best luck. You guys are awesome people. Keep doing your thing.
Hi Ryan! Thank you for heading over this way as well, I really appreciate it!! Thank you for the kind words too!! I hope you enjoy the vids going forward! 😊
Thank you Cris for another great video. You truly are so down to earth and reveal who Cris truly is = which is awesome and real IMHO. Jay is a very lucky person. College can be trying to ones soul - I only made it through one year and got my BA/MS 20 years later... LOL Better late than never. I truly appreciate all the hard work you do to capture and narrate your videos and your good edits as well...You are correct, Winter Park is a beautiful town but can have some in the area conveying their pretentiousness. You are very welcome for the coffee.... I will continue to watch, support and recommend your channel.
Hi Lance, thank you so much for the kind words! This really made my night. You have always been so supportive and I really appreciate it!! I can ultimately only be myself, so it is an honor and amazing experience to have other people actually like that (haha) and relate to my experiences! I think higher education is best at an older age... when you are responsible enough to figure things out and take it seriously. I wish I would have waited for college! Thank you again Lance, I really appreciate it!! :)
I went to Canton NY ATC. I took Industrial Tech. But I found that the movie kids had many night class events where you could watch cool movies and the instructors didn't care who showed up. Loved those times just hanging out with the more art minded people. Made many a boring week go by. You were super cute in school. Hey you still are.
Cris this was interesting seeing where you went to college and being honest about your time there. The campus is beautiful. I struggled thru high school and hated it. I didn’t go to college and my dad was not happy. I did find a good job with a corporation and worked there for 38 years. Just be you!
I’m glad you enjoyed this one Barb! Yeah I think school in general is hard for a lot of people for one reason or another. I’m sure the people we think are having an easy time are probably struggling just as much if not even more. I’m sorry high school was difficult for you as well! Sounds like you have been successful though, I’m happy for you! Thank you for the kind words and for watching!!
I know this was a hard video to do, but you did it!! And did it very well!! Rollins is beautiful! Mr. Rogers’ statue is incredible!! Especially the back side details. Wow!! College isn’t always a happy experience for everyone, but you persevered and graduated! Hopefully making this video reminded you of the good memories as well. As you said, the past makes you who you are today- a wonderful , empathetic, and loving young woman.
Thank you!!! I wouldn't change any of that for anything, it was all in all, a great experience and helped make me the person I am today. Plus I have an education! :) Yeah we will have to check out the statue sometime, that would be really cool! I'm glad you enjoyed the video!! Rollins has changed a lot, huh?? :)
You brought back a memory for me 😊 My dad got his BS at Rollins and he took violin as an elective and I was able to go with him and learn how to play too, I was 10 years old going to Rollins every Wednesday night, and then McDonalds afterwards for a hot fudge sundae 😁
Omg, that is an amazing memory!! I used to play violin as well! Also, my mom went to Rollins too so I spent a lot of time on campus as a child as well! Very cool! Thank you for sharing!
Cris, Eddy here from Myrtle Beach SC! I have been following the WOO for ten years and then found Jay thru Adam ! I’m now subscribed to u ! Will continue to support U and Jay! Glad u and him found each other ! Best wishes and take care !
Hi Eddy! Thank you so much for finding me through the grapevine haha! So glad you are here and I hope you enjoy the videos going forward!! Thank you again!!😊
Thanks for sharing your tour of the campus and your memories. Not everyone has fond memories of college. I am sure it helped you sort out your feelings when you went around campus and filmed this. My son was a Junior at Lake Brantley when I had to take him over to Rollins to take his SAT's. After I found the place where he was to take them, we were early, so we drove around a bit. We passed a man jogging and my son said, "That looks like Mr. Rogers." The guy smiled and waved at us. My son grew up watching Mr. Rogers and loved the show. When we got to the place for him to take his SAT's the lady registrant said, "Did you happen to see Mr. Rogers? He has a home nearby and likes to jog around the campus." My son was so stoked that we saw him but upset that we had not stopped to say hello to him. This was around 1997. I don't know if you ever saw Mr. Rogers there.
That is such a cool story!! I have heard of people seeing him jog around campus, seems like a very Mr. Rogers thing for him to do haha. Sadly I never saw him, he passed away before I started college and I never saw him around when I was there with my mom (she went to Rollins as well). That is a really cool memory though, and something you both can cherish forever, even if you didn't get to say hello! Thank you for watching and for sharing!!
We visited and picked up the map of Mr Roger's things there and our favorite was the sign he made his life motto - the statue wasn't th ere we will have to stop again - we found the house he later lived in also - a cool area especially the other park by the lake.
Thanks for sharing your experiences and opening up your life a little bit. I went to school just down the road at UCF and also had a mixed experience. I had a chance to see the Rollins campus a few times when I was living in Central Florida and remember that it was a beautiful campus. I'm hoping to make it out that way again sometime soon and probably visit my college again too.
College really is just hard, I think for everyone. Mostly because at that age, so much is going on in your life anyway, so no matter what, it is just a difficult time! Add grades, papers, and assignments... and it's near impossible haha! I visited UCF many many times! I hope you are able to visit out that way again soon! Thank you so much for watching! :)
HEY, CRIS THE GIRL How's It going hope all Is good... Well Ya I think that It's pretty cool that you went Back to visit your Old College I've been back to visit my old high School and grammar School It beings back All kinds of different memory of the school Day's so OK Take care stay safe and will see you on the next video project
It’s beautiful! I’m with you as far as being an introvert. I had my twin sister in college with me but it was also a commuter college, part of the California State University system so we really didn’t hang out much with anyone.
I went to school with my brother! He was a year ahead of me and had a different major so we didn't hang out too much either, but it made the experience better for sure :) Thank you for sharing LeeAnne!
great vid ! Really appreciate the honesty and raw emotion. My college experiences were similar to yours, and when I went back for post grad work, I went in with a "hardened" attitude, and treated school like a job instead of an experience. I was much happier during those years, but I also think I missed out on quite a bit. Like you said, "mixed emotions."
I hear you! Going to grad school has been a much different and better experience for me so far (granted it has all been online but still). I treat it more like a job for sure and it's been nice actually studying a subject I want to learn about. It is all in all a mixed bag, and certainly not black and white, good experience/bad experience. Thank you for sharing and for watching! And thank you for the kind words!!
♥️Happy Valentine's day to you and Jay I hope you had a good one!♥️ I loved this sentimental tour of your college years! Sentimental for me too 40 years ago today on Valentine's day when I was a teenager I sat on that same dock and kissed my girlfriend she lived in a little house down the street to Rollins college and we would hang out at dinky dock sometimes. All these years later we're still friends I just texted her happy Valentine's Day today ♥️ this is the second video in a row you visited a sentimental place to me when I was a teen😊 you're such a sweetie I I feel bad about any bad times you had at college I hope it wasn't a heartbreak thing but it's amazing you went there! That's a great school no wonder all the rich kids go there it's probably super expensive! (Side note is probably not the same exact dock it has probably been redone since then)
OMG!!! That is amazing!!!! I can't believe we both share some special memories in the same places! Well I am so glad that is the case and thank you so much for sharing that memory! That is really cool you are both still friends too! Jay and I had a great V Day as you probably saw ;) I hope you did as well! I think everyone at that age, school or no school, goes through difficult times. School just gives you a different set of challenges to deal with haha. I appreciate the kind words and I am so glad you enjoyed this video!! :)
When I read your title and it said Back to School I thought you did a filming location of the film. lol Also the statue of Mr. Rogers is spot on! Looks fantastic!
My greetings to you, I'm happy with how brave you take your past now!! I myself have found it difficult to make friends because people were jealous of me for looking good at the time, photogenic in other words. As a toddler I obtained two certificates, one for Brabant, the other nationally Belgian most beautiful child. It is said that children are not racist, you as I know from experience that generations can act naughty.
Steven the girl! Im also a Introvert and a drummer. Middle school and high school were tuff for me. I was in the band and was the best drummer but I would always make sure I was the last chair because I didn't want any of the attention. The other drummers would always ask me why I didn't challenge them or to be first chair. I would always just say I don't care about that stuff. No one got it which I understand, but I didn't want all the eyes on me. Its tuff being an Introvert and I still am, but not as bad as I get older. - Wesley
Hi Wesley! That is cool you were a drummer too! I can absolutely understand not wanting all eyes on you, that is one of the most difficult parts of being a musician. It was always really hard for me to do solos or perform with one or two other people because I didn't like having the attention on myself. Often it would make me completely mess up the performance. I am with you, as I get older, I don't care about that sort of thing much anymore. (Especially now that I am putting my life out there on UA-cam for everyone to see haha!) Thank you for sharing and thank you for watching as well!!
This was a nice video and I'm sorry u didn't have a good college experience.i.never.went to college, but that's how I felt about.High school.when u said u didn't have friends in school,I said to my mom, I would have been your friend if I went to school with you.big hugs my friend.
Awwwwwww.... this was so kind, you made me tear up a little actually :') I would have been your friend too and am your friend now :) High school was very difficult for me as well, I am sorry you had the same experience! Hugs to you as well, and thank you so much for the kind words!
We went there to visit the museum. It is a beautiful campus. My daughter did percussion in high school too.(goes to usf now) She was even part of FFCC last year of school. Did you ever go to one of those events or DCI? We have gone a few times in Orlando. Highly recommend if you are able. :)
Oh wow that is so cool!! Good for her! We definitely need more percussionists who are women :) I did go to DCI once I believe, those events are always so cool! I had lots of friends who participated too! Thank you for sharing and for watching!!
my experiences were different than most. i was a ward/foster child by paperwork, living with a family that had daughters that pretty well all went to University, and On scholarships too. One went full ride to Indiana U for their women's basketball team. Cunningham. another D went McMaster U and played there enough to become a Nurse. FD: I am no Fonz, not a bike rider, and they were the Cunninghams so to speak literally supportive type of Catholics real Good People at the same time as residing under their roof, i did public relations work for my HSchool Basketball team, and because of that volunteer work, securing sponsors and preparing a 4 page (doubled sided=8) photocopy Game day mag for fans that (at that time) paid $6 adult to get in, students Free (students from other schools paid $1-$2) and we sold out Packed stands only 100 game day mags to cover the 600 Got recruited by coach Darling out of Guelph, to be His Manager/{PR guy // so i went to school, and the Children's aid paid my cost of living (plus got work study jobs on campus to afford for extra food/beer) eg: getting Up friday morning at 7am to help Paint the Lines on the Main Home Football Field, their numbers too. Painting lines for all intramural fields' lines/baseball diamonds' etc. working the athletic equipment room, security at Home Football games, referee intramural sports. a Man has to do what He has to do to eat food, food cost $ // Benefits of being the Manager of a Men's University Team include Laundry unlimited access to workout gym and aerobics/circuit room, and having a locker on site in the gym building was HUGE. i could leave stuff there and not pay. another cost saving Laundry was HUGE playing gym rat basketball daily, it helps to have the wet cloths being properly washed nightly by a Professional staff free of charge IF i had Not been recruited to go to U of G, i might have gone to another school to become a teacher, but even after graduating from U Of G, i blew off teaching to go work at a kids' camp in Algonquin Park (3 full May to oct seasons, plus a Fall) and never became a teacher (which was the A Plan). Being Wanted by a coach really helped me make my decision and that Meeting and offer was given to my 4th yr, with I having a 5th to get thru (local school requirements of 5 yr program for University college only needed 4 yrs of high school? Not a Fonz, but it was surreal to actually have to say whom i lived with 'the Cunninghams, eh! // just sharing so u know that there r more than auto bots in comment Land Comment Land, is not TV Land, but many do quote the movies //God Bless (I was recruited for my God given Ability to Market(ing), convey a Message, & Raise the Roof with a LOUD impact )
Very cool campus! Thank you for sharing about your experience there... I'm sure it'll help others who may have had similar experiences. How are your plants doing?! : P
College wasn’t the greatest experience for me either. I chose the college based on a past relationship and not based on what I wanted, and got a degree that I never utilized! Such is life. You’re campus looks pretty and I love the Mr. Roger’s monument! Thank you for sharing! ( I have no interest in visiting my campus ever again! Lol)
Haha!! Yeah I know what you mean.. I am not using my degree either and it's always really hard for me to return to that campus. If I could do it all over again, I would probably just change my major to something I actually would have enjoyed, like art or history. BUT, it's ok, the important thing is it's over now haha! I'm sorry college wasn't a great experience for you either, but thank you for sharing and thank you for watching!!
u took theater? ok. that Course was available at My university (if Guelph). Conestoga College had a full Tv studio set up and a real radio station (with three booths). i volunteered for a few months, and put a 'licensed gathering (named utopia) on with a LIVE to air (no delay, an unknown thing for radio in Ontario/Canada) // my stage craft is limited, due to fate, and too much iron in my Blood. the LIGHTS heat me up so fast Like Albert Brooks in 'Broadcast News' a movie // Not all bodies were meant to stand Tall before all. some r meant to lay back, pre and Push up them that stage right/left Til Curtain Call. / nice upload
Wait omg are there really just a bunch of stray cats. I was so excited to maybe go to Rollins, but I am severely allergic to cats 😭. This is really tragic.
It just depends on how allergic you are! I would suggest taking a couple of trips to tour the school & get a feel for it. The place isn’t overrun with cats, don’t worry!
Thank you to Lance for sponsoring this video’s coffee!!

Thanks Cris! God bless.
Thanks for sharing your life with us. Being more of an introvert myself I can relate and had similar experiences in high school. Keep em coming
Thank you so much, so glad you enjoyed this video! It is definitely tough being an introvert in this world, but we definitely have a lot of gifts to offer the world! Thank you for watching!
I have no friends. I never made any lifelong friends ever. I hope you've made some lifelong friends now. It's a very lovely school.
Hello sister 👋 That's so good content 😊😊 Thank you for sharing this video. Have a great day 🙏🙏
Cris this was interesting seeing where you went to college and being honest about your time there.
That statue is amazing! 😍😍😍
It really is!!
HEY, CRIS THE GIRL
How's It going hope all Is good... Well Ya I think that It's pretty cool that you went Back to visit your Old
College I've been back to visit my old high School and grammar School It beings back
All kinds of different memory of the school Day's so OK Take care stay safe and will see you on the next video project
Thank you so much Mark! So glad you enjoyed this one and hope all is well with you too!! :)
#4 Love the vid sitting on the dock of the bay🎵🎶🎵Happy Valentine's day Cris..❤🩹
Thank you!! :)
Nice campus tour 👍 wonderful
Thank you so much!
@@CristheGirl you're welcome
Your Disney point is on point
Haha, it’s a hard habit to break!
Sounds like I found my twin from your school experience.
I hope school wasn't too difficult for you! Thank you for watching and for sharing!! :)
That statue, wow.
Coffee holic myself . Lol
It was truly amazing!!
Nice campus and you certainly had a variety of different classes.
Oh yes, took lots of classes because I always have so many interests!! :)
When I read your title and it said Back to School I thought you did a filming location of the film. lol Also the statue of Mr. Rogers is spot on! Looks fantastic!
Haha! I will probably be leaving the filming locations to the real experts ;) The statue was amazing, so impressive! Thank you for watching!!
Tampa Jay brought me here. Lol He had a link to ur channel on his channel, so...here I am. Not a bad channel Cris. Keep it up.
Thank you for stopping by here, I really appreciate that! I hope you enjoy the videos going forward as well! :)
My greetings to you, I'm happy with how brave you take your past now!! I myself have found it difficult to make friends because people were jealous of me for looking good at the time, photogenic in other words. As a toddler I obtained two certificates, one for Brabant, the other nationally Belgian most beautiful child. It is said that children are not racist, you as I know from experience that generations can act naughty.
beautiful campus
I’m watching you and jay at the same time so doing some binge watching lol
Haha, fantastic! I hope you enjoyed the videos!! :)
@@CristheGirl always so much ahead my friend
Tampa Jay is how I found your channel like the content 👍
Very cool! Thank you for heading over here too! I hope you like the videos going forward! 😊
@@CristheGirl awwww thanks for your friendship and sorry to make u tear up. Hope u have a great day 😊
@@erikloos602 Oh no, they are happy tears :) I hope you have a great day too!!
Gee, I’m a drummer as well. Totally awesome!
Us drummers gotta stick together! :)
Beautiful ❤️ vlogg keep it up! Minnesota 🇺🇲 loaded
Thank you so much!
my experiences were different than most. i was a ward/foster child by paperwork, living with a family that had daughters that pretty well all went to University, and On scholarships too. One went full ride to Indiana U for their women's basketball team. Cunningham. another D went McMaster U and played there enough to become a Nurse.
FD: I am no Fonz, not a bike rider, and they were the Cunninghams so to speak literally supportive type of Catholics real Good People
at the same time as residing under their roof, i did public relations work for my HSchool Basketball team, and because of that volunteer work, securing sponsors and preparing a 4 page (doubled sided=8) photocopy Game day mag for fans that (at that time) paid $6 adult to get in, students Free (students from other schools paid $1-$2) and we sold out Packed stands only 100 game day mags to cover the 600
Got recruited by coach Darling out of Guelph, to be His Manager/{PR guy // so i went to school, and the Children's aid paid my cost of living (plus got work study jobs on campus to afford for extra food/beer)
eg: getting Up friday morning at 7am to help Paint the Lines on the Main Home Football Field, their numbers too. Painting lines for all intramural fields' lines/baseball diamonds' etc.
working the athletic equipment room, security at Home Football games, referee intramural sports. a Man has to do what He has to do to eat food, food cost $
// Benefits of being the Manager of a Men's University Team include Laundry unlimited access to workout gym and aerobics/circuit room, and having a locker on site in the gym building was HUGE. i could leave stuff there and not pay. another cost saving Laundry was HUGE
playing gym rat basketball daily, it helps to have the wet cloths being properly washed nightly by a Professional staff free of charge
IF i had Not been recruited to go to U of G, i might have gone to another school to become a teacher, but even after graduating from U Of G, i blew off teaching to go work at a kids' camp in Algonquin Park (3 full May to oct seasons, plus a Fall) and never became a teacher (which was the A Plan).
just sharing so u know that there r more than auto bots in comment Land
Comment Land, is not TV Land, but many do quote the movies //God Bless (I was recruited for my God given Ability to Market(ing), convey a Message, & Raise the Roof with a LOUD impact )
Very cool campus! Thank you for sharing about your experience there... I'm sure it'll help others who may have had similar experiences. How are your plants doing?! : P
Yeah I hope so too! My plants are doing well lol! Sometime I have to do a plant update. I appreciate you asking! Thank you!
@@CristheGirl Yeah that would be good for all of us to see! I've killed so many of mine this winter...
I have come to bring blessings to your channel.. greetings, greetings, good health, everyone.. amen👍❤❤

u took theater? ok. that Course was available at My university (if Guelph). Conestoga College had a full Tv studio set up and a real radio station (with three booths).
i volunteered for a few months, and put a 'licensed gathering (named utopia) on with a LIVE to air (no delay, an unknown thing for radio in Ontario/Canada)
// my stage craft is limited, due to fate, and too much iron in my Blood. the LIGHTS heat me up so fast Like Albert Brooks in 'Broadcast News' a movie //

Where did you get your necklace?
I got it at Anthropologie!
