Hey Nuffly, I wanted to take a moment to say that I appreciate the work you do, and I think I speak for all of us here. The fact that you modded Owl for lightning to work was awesome, even if the animation isn't the smoothest. While watching other Sekiro bvb vids I always wondered if it was impossible to add the lightning stun animation, and you just proved that they just didn't bother trying too hard. Boss vs Boss / AI fights in Sekiro is some of my favorite content to watch on youtube, and the fact that not only are you keeping the "genre" alive, but also listening to suggestions and working to improve the battles is just awesome. Genichiro could survive even a deathblow by owl, if only it was delivered with a normal sword. He was most likely ambushed and was killed using his own mortal blade.
@@_garicas I don't think the rejuvinating waters gives him "true" immortality since he was after the dragons heritage from kuro but it definitely gives him very high resilience
First thing that I noticed is that genichiro's attack power is significantly increased during way of tomoe phase. Second, it's interesting how there is an animation for owl taking lightning damage, why tho. Was wolf ever supposed to use lightning on owl ? Or let's say, developer's first thought was to let sekiro learn a nerfed version of lightning attack after isshin's fight but later they discarded this idea as the stun is quite potent along with the lightning damage itself that would make the game far more easier on its second run than it was intended to be ?
Usually it doesn't work on bosses other than Isshin or Geni. I think Nuffly modded Owl in a way that when he takes lightning damage, a specific animation occurs, which seems to be how he reacts when being poisoned. The animation itself is modded, too, as you can see it looping a few times to simulate the lightning's stun.
@@error_404_user_not_found2 I see, but I've seen many bosses with a separate animation when they take lightning damage. Maybe it doesn't exist for d.o.h and owl. Been an year since i played sekiro.

In an actual battle, inner daddy would fuck him up though... None of the lightning attacks will work, infact will be problematic for genichiro only, because of the mist raven reversal that daddy can do. The only thing that might make this result sensible in an actual battle is that, genichiro might have been more of a trouble in wolf's head than daddy in hirata was, because of lack of experience with extra ordinary foes. So his inner version might have more buffed stats than daddy.
Considering Wolf made up both Inner Genichiro and Inner Father in his head, this could very well be a daydream he's having

@@xSima Yeah they were never actually fight them in the game. You need to go to the reflection to fight them for the first time I believe.

I heard Lady Tomoe was supposed to be DLC but got scrapped and added to Elden Ring instead. Maybe Owl fought Tomoe at some point.
