How important is the kicker? Sounds like you are saying don't chase the upwind kicker, but would it be crazy to make first attempts without kicker?

Love the channel. Didn't know about duotone academy, that is sick too! What's the best way to differentiate who's who in the action clips?

I'm scared of impaling the wing with the foil. Any tips to avoid that?

Nice video. What length mast are you using on back and front flipping. Anyone doing them on long masts (95 cm)?

we do everything on 82 cm masts. i know of people using 85s or 75s. most of the longer mast lengths are reserved for slalom. the extra weight makes a difference when you’re going vertical :)

@@alex-merts good to know. I just have really been enjoying the 95 for turning and stuff lately.
But yeah. I’m already heavy and my board is big and heavy (65L 15 lbs).
Good conditions today. Maybe I’ll try a couple. Mast time was when I was a noob and went through my wing.

Taylor is using a 65 liter fyi! so it’s totally possible :) just really focus on throwing the wing and body back and it will rotate!

@@alex-merts well I didn’t die or break anything. Powered up on 4 meter with some pretty good wave faces for ramps. First attempt felt pretty good. Went downhill for the next 5. But good to get the nerves out. Thanks for the tips
