October Seed Starting In Southern California

  • October in Southern California: warm enough to start some plants outside while many other plants are best to start indoors and grow underneath lights until time of transplant.
    The container types and seed medium used is dependent on whether they will be growing outside or not. Ideally, transplants will grow in real soil. However, when growing plants indoors real soil is more complicated to work with.
    In this video, I share some insights on how I start some vegetables during October.

    Awesome stuff. I just planted my Broccoli, cabbage, brussel sprouts, and Lettuce here in Riverside County. Hoping for a good harvest for us both.
