The chalkware woman with a scarf is giving me “Grey Gardens” vibes.
I sold the Sorrento music boxes. Made in Sorrento Italy in my jewelry store. We sold them for 20 + years. The inlay wood is fabulous! The also come with the metal records. The tone of the movements are so beautiful.
Omg I want that pink vase. If I happened to find one I wouldn’t be able to sell. Stunning
The music boxes were gorgeous..
Beautiful vases in peach and pink are beautiful. Great finds.
Just FYI I have a feeling new Murano glass pieces will either be in short supply or sold at crazy prices. The furnaces are all natural gas and gas prices are crazy in Europe. You can't shut a furnace down and restart apparently, so they either have to close down for good or jack up prices. The market may soon be a lot better for vintage pieces.
Good to know!!! I have a TON of vintage Murano that hasn’t sold and have avoided buying any more. I have pieces that haven’t even been listed yet. Now, I feel much better about my investment!!!😊
I love the cranberry glass painted dish,The Italian musicboxes, the pink/The Murano gold glass bowl, the cased white opaline lamp..& that shell lamp♡ 😍
The characters in your videos: Jocelyn, the items, the descriptions, and your manicure!
Wow that music box!! $275 is awesome!
I absolutely love these sold videos! I love seeing the story of these pieces from beginning to end! So, so great! Thanks for taking us along for the ride!!🎉 Much love to you and your family!!💞
The shell lamp is gorgeous
I was lucky because I got to see your show with the NEW HOUSE TOUR... I just love your house. The yard is fantastic and beautiful. The house is huge! Great kitchen, so much character in the whole house. The woodwork is stunning. Wonderful Choice!
I love these SOLD videos !! I always learn so much:) I hope you are doing well :)
Have a Beautiful Mother’s Day ♥️♥️♥️
I'm a new subscriber and am blown away by how you know so quickly what some items are, and which items are worth much! I am wondering how many years it has taken you to get a feel for the value of the items you pick & resell.
those jack in the pulpit vases glow with a blacklight, especially under a 365nm light. They are likely Stevens and Williams from the late 1800s
Aaaah! I get so stressed when you sell things at a loss!
Awesome sales!! Always enjoy watching ☺️
Awesome 👍 home! The sounds of mother nature welcoming you. I've seen a few cardinals and one bluebird. I have a old wise owl 🦉 have you seen yours yet?
You truly deserve happiness ❤️
Have a great Day
Thank You
the price you got for those two paper easter baskets, tells me why I don't sell via auction. I think you could have easily gotten $50 to $75 each for those with a buy it now sale. It might take a little longer to sell, but it adds up in the end.
Beautiful items. You had some awesome sales as well.
You got all your money back plus a big chunk more! That's awesome.
Love the sold videos ! As usual great eye. Wish I had bought the Easter honeycomb vintage decorations! They were so sweet. Thought they would go for more. The music boxes and lamps were fantastic!❤
Omg this was a fantastic sold video I just love seeing you do so well ❤️
The ladies face reminds me of little Edie Beale of Gray Gardens.
Love story easily 1970s. I am old I remember on the wood music box.
I swear you are so funny. I love your personality. You have such savvy knowledge. I have learned a lot from watching. Felix....hahaha
Love, love, love your SOLD videos!
Love the carrots grl!!😁😁😁😍🤗🤗🤗❤️❤️❤️❤️🎂🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Love the color of your hair.
I love your channel. Wish you would give the final sold amount as compared to your purchase amount.
Love these videos!!
And carrot juice is one of my favorite drinks! 🙂
You probably looked this up, but Napco is wholesale florist co.
Where is Eric? Haven’t seen him in a long time.
I love all your videos and have learned a lot on things to pick up. What percentage of sales on ebay do you think are subscribers to your youtube channel?
That dove box plays the music from that movie Love Song
Ryan O'Neal and Ali McGraw. She married Steve McQueen. As a bit of history
Thanks for great video
9:40 Early Popeye comic, still in its cellphone wrapper! How much was that?
Thank you for sharing.
Not that I’m anywhere near you,but you said the meet and greet was February 22nd. You probably meant May?
This was filmed when she did the actual shopping, which was back in January or February. When she does a "sold" video she replays the old video and inserts how much the items she purchased sell for in her E-bay shop. So when she said, "February 26" it was valid at the time.
How much did spend on the piggy elfinware shakers? I didn't see it.
Dang, Jocelyn....you're crushing it! I'm loving all the videos!
Excellent
ELVEN WARE is the effect on the little piggies
Really enjoy these sold videos but geez I would not want this as a my business model. Often only doubling your money after fees plus then you have to ship all that fragile stuff? No thank you!
Some of ur profits r unbelievable
Yes, it’s interesting! I don’t do auctions, but … one time, Jocelyn had a rare, hand painted, unusual fairy lamp that sold for over $500 (about a year ago). Jocelyn already had a following and years of reselling experience when I started watching 3 + years ago …
How can you sell items for less than the purchase price?
Cute haircut
Do you get the shipping fee also? New follower here just wondering
I was meaning after the buyer pays the shipping cost does she get that as well as how much the item sold for or if ebay gets the shipping cost
@@kellipierce5800 she gets that shipping cost that buyer paid, because now she has to pay with that same money the post office to actually ship it. Also, eBay charges fees on the total cost of the item, meaning item price+ shipping+ tax. So whenever you see item sold amount, you can safely assume she (or any seller) got about 20% less of that amount you see. Does that make sense? :)
When your sold videos show something as "still available", is that because a buyer backed out or didn't pay?
Still available as a 'Buy it now' item. Jocelyn is listing more 'Buy it now' items rather than listing them all as auction items.
❤TFS!
Ombré, having a pattern in which colors or tones fade into one another: Her ombre hair goes from brown at the top to bleached blond at the bottom.
Why yes, Jocelyn, carrots=Easter. Carrots=Easter! I just needed you to remind me of that fact! You cracked me up with that aside! 😊
+11:16 Looks like Great Garbo.
TFS 💚
There is content in comments inappropriate for this video... Selling crypto????I am sure Crazy Lamp Lady not aware or into that
This is an ongoing issue on almost every channel. I have keyword filters in place, but they get sneaky with the wording and sometimes they get through.
I always report those comments. They are so annoying! People fall for them though, which is so sad.
Yes, just tap the 3 dots and report those comments when you see them. I just did that today on another channel.
I love all your videos and learn so much. I noticed you paid 55 for the set but it went for only 30 on auction..so you lost money? I really want to learn more about the auction vs buy now like what's better to do? I don't want to lose money. Thank you
Yes, it means she lost money on that auction. As for auction vs buy it now (BIN), it depends on your business model. Jocelyn had been reselling for years and already had a following when she switched from Etsy to eBay and put everything on auction starting at $4. It’s a gamble - Joc has said that items do sometimes sell at a loss or undersell (less than their true value). Most of us don’t have the stomach for that level of risk!! That is also why she now lists some items BIN and has a website for the really high end items. I have heard other experienced eBay sellers say they only auction if they’re not sure of the value (you can specify a minimum price) or if they are trying to get rid of stuff faster (start the auction @ 99 cents).
Buy it now is definitely much better than auctions. Only do auctions if you already have a great following like Jocelyn, or you’ll lose money 99% of the time. Just look up literally any item on eBay and compare what people got that did auctions and the ones that did Buy it now, and you’ll see it all for yourself. :)
Thank you guy's for answering my question, it's appreciated! I'm definitely new at this and learning also trying to watch all of her videos to get more information.
Ok I love love these videos . Please someone explain paying more than they sell for. Wouldn’t the minimum accepted bid be at least the price originally paid?
It's been her business model for years. She starts her auctions at $4. (Only recently added buy it nows for heftier items.) You win some, you lose some, it all balances out sorta thing.
She auctions many of her items starting at $4.00. This allows her to maybe make more money than what she might get if she set a price. Also this moves inventory because after 4 days it is sold and shipped to the highest bidder. She only buys things when she assumes she will get more than what she paid. Sometimes it doesn’t work but then she has learned something. Lately she has listed more items with a buy it now price and most of those items are toward the end of her listings. Don’t know if this answers your question but is how I understand it
Yes, it’s a gamble every time but Jocelyn has so many years of experience, she knows how to pick ‘em!! But occasionally it doesn’t work, or the thing undersells - she knows the value but the right buyer did not happen to come along at that time.
👍
❤️❤️❤️
💕💕💕
It's pronounced DEEsaronno, not DISsaronno
❤️❤️❤️
I love your sold videos as they are so educational
