Not sure if anyone mentioned this: another way to transfer the image is by printing it (can be very low quality to save ink!) And then using white carbon paper to gently trace the outline. I do this even with very large pieces. There are handy programs that print to specific dimensions on multiple sheets perfectly.
I had seen GARY a few years ago when I checked out some tapes from a library.Found him again here and I can only say that I am grateful and so happy to be able to enjoy his wonderful art.I amw orking on a painting from a lake in Lucerne,Switzerland,and I needed some help with painting swans.Thank you,Mr. Jenkins for this video.You made it easy and beautiful as all of your art work.

Thank you, I painted two swans, really beautifuul. First was too wet and than I underpaint ;) now is georgeous. I start to work with you, didnt succed in roses but poppies are beautifull. With roses petals mixed to me one on another like a mud :( the same without medium, maybe the color isnt good :D haha Greetings from Serbia
You used an acrylic base and then a transparent base medium. What kind of transparent base medium? In oil or acrylic? I realize now that one can use acrylic base and then, oil, but I don't think we can use acrylic over oil, am I right? Thanks for sharing with us your beautiful painting. I love it!
Very beautifull and amazing. !!!! Whether you know, that paints will become transparent in 70-100 of years. Then a black background will close everything. This physico-chemical fact. Upper opaque paint will be transparent. And black background bowels out. Great artist Velazquez has a picture where the horse has 8 legs.
