    10% general information about the Tibetan Plateau 90% learning about Global Warming and explaining environmental projection modules. I feel like I learned more from the 5 minute clip of Planet Earth on the Tibetan Wolf.

    Modeling is reflection of hypothesis. Hypothesis they employed is 1) greenhouse gases work as one way filter of heats; they slow heat going out from the earth, and do little on heats coming into the earth, or 2) greenhouse gases filter both incoming heats and outgoing heats equally, and heats generated in the earth is greater than heats coming from the sun. If the hypothesis are negative, their modeling is a fiction. Either way, current knowledge of physics is not sufficient for numerical analysis of weathers.

    The map is very correct to label all of Tibet as under the Tibetan Plateau and not the neo-colonist term of "Qinghai-Xizang Guo"-something. However, it very clearly excludes Ladakh and southern Kham province and is layered on a map of Asia far too south. According to the incorrectly rendered map, Assam's jungles are part of the Tibetan Plateau

    🎯 Key Takeaways for quick navigation:
    01:11 🏔️ *The Tibetan Plateau, also known as the "roof of the world," formed around 55 million years ago due to a collision of continents, resulting in the most extensive mountain region globally.*
    03:38 🌍 *Climate change impacts on the Tibetan Plateau are studied extensively due to its unique landscape, mostly uninhabited by humans, offering insights into the effects of climate change on undisturbed regions.*
    06:12 🌨️ *The Tibetan Plateau contains significant ice volumes outside polar regions, earning it the moniker "third pole," impacting global water resources as glaciers melt.*
    10:48 🏞️ *Glaciers on the Tibetan Plateau are shrinking, leading to the expansion of lakes and altering the region's hydrology, affecting millions of people who rely on rivers originating from the plateau.*
    13:38 🌧️ *Climate modeling predicts increased precipitation, evaporation, and glacier melting in the Tibetan Plateau region due to rising temperatures, impacting local ecosystems and water resources.*
    17:15 🌿 *Vegetation zones in the Tibetan Plateau, including alpine grasslands and meadows, are monitored using satellite data, with changes observed over the last three decades due to human activities and climate change.*
    20:23 🛤️ *Human activities, including land-use changes and conservation efforts, significantly impact the environment of the Tibetan Plateau, with implications for biodiversity and ecosystems.*
    23:47 🌡️ *Climate models indicate continued warming in the Tibetan Plateau, with implications for ecosystem stability and water resources, underscoring the importance of conservation measures to mitigate climate change effects.*
    25:43 🔄 *International collaboration and interdisciplinary research efforts are crucial for understanding and addressing environmental changes in the Tibetan Plateau, aiding in better preparation for future challenges.*

      Robin Lillian I get that but English language actually brought a lot Latin and Greek words back to original from vulgar European changes. And China changes English as well. Look at what they say for “X” it’s now “zh”. Sentral Stasen, Also Can, Nohave. Vue (view) which is most popular web technology in the world right now by Chinese American. Amazing panoramas! I'm happy others pointed out how much there are some prized ores in all that territory, and hence why a neighboring military nation would go to great lengths to culturally justify their taking it by force. If only china dropped the charade and was just honest about wanting those resources, rather than trying to erase Buddhism by tearing down statues and saying "not having a religion (CCP) is your new religion now... _or else_ ."

    Came here to learn about Tibetan Plateau. Got bombarded with climate change propaganda. We are in a cooling period based on empirical solar cycle data. The more you misinform the public, the more they take for granted the possible issues that an ice age can bring about, primarily food shortages due to shortened summer season.

    • @j.lx2548
      @j.lx2548 3 роки тому +5

      Climatological data is available and irrefutable by a an overwhelming consensus. You can disagree with the science, however, your warped bias is clearly showing when you threw in the word propaganda.
      Your statement may play on You Tube, but I can assure you that your hyperbolic verbiage in academia is simply repugnant. Furthermore, it is quite doubtful you came here to "learn" when you sound precisely like a parrot for the far right climate change deniers. Your screed and others like you are tiresome.
