On long flights (hours or days) does Deanna Troi just pull out a bucket and take a reeking dump in the single room cabin while Picard sits watching her and sipping his Earl Grey ?
What about Bolian, Hranok Zar, at Wolf 359. He is a lieutenant on the Saratoga. With the warp core about to breach, the Bolian gets Sisko and Jake to the escape pod. "Ensign. Take the boy," the Bolian says. A bit of a Bolian Data, more Vulcan than the captain, but gets the job done. memory-alpha.fandom.com/wiki/USS_Saratoga_(NCC-31911)_personnel The Saratoga's Bolian tactical officer The tactical officer, a Bolian male lieutenant, was one of only two bridge officers to survive the Battle of Wolf 359 in 2366. He was later forced to physically drag Benjamin Sisko away from the body of his deceased wife[Jennifer] to safety. (DS9: "Emissary") The tactical officer was played by Stephen Davies. The Michael Jan Friedman novel Saratoga gives the name of this officer as Zar, although the novelization of "Emissary", as well as the video game Star Trek: Deep Space Nine - Crossroads of Time, refer to him as Hranok. The eBook Enterprises of Great Pitch and Moment gives his full name as Hranok Zar.

IRL blue blood is copper based. (horse shoe crabs have blue blood) Copper blood is superior to iron blood as it holds more oxygen. It is however, harder to replace if lost, as copper is a much rarer metal on earth than ion. Making access to coper for blood a limiting factor for growth, healing and population size. Hence why the inferor iron blood animals won out over coper based blood.
It's rather odd that some doctor couldn't figure out a counter agent that could be injected before "interspecies relations". Seriously, hyposprays are practically ubiquitous in Star Trek.
Many of their body fluids seem to be mildly corrosive, which isn't something you can really take a shot for and will hurt a *lot* more when you've got a lot of sensory nerves clustered together - as you do in erogenous zones. You would think a Trek-tech condom would be sufficient to protect from the worst of that, but perhaps their sweat and saliva is sufficient to be unpleasant as well. OTOH, the fever, fatigue, and joint pain might be an allergic or even toxic reaction that you could develop a counter agent for, maybe something to do with their unusual biochemistry reacting badly with the more common red-blooded humanoid types. There's also a possible cultural issue to consider. Polygamous partnerships are common in their society, and that means sexy times with someone outside the group involves the feelings of (and presumably requires the approval of) multiple people, which is a complication generally monogamous cultures wouldn't be used to. Not an issue with single Bolians, but for ones in an open polygamous relationship doing some cross-species sexing you've got more than just one set of sexual health concerns involved as well. On the plus side, their odd body chemistry probably makes STI transmission across species barriers less likely.
The problem I see with blue stars is 1) they are much hotter than Earth's sun (this part is resolved by having the planet be much further out), and 2) because they are much hotter than Earth's sun, they have a MUCH MUCH MUCH MUCH shorter lifespan. Some of these stars have a lifespan of a few million years, and they die in violent supernovas. Doesn't seem likely for life to have time to evolve on a world around such a star.
but if their planet is the ninth, wouldn't it be more logical if it's Boliaix? if Boliax it's the tenth right? Anyway, good vid! Always wondering about them when watching DS9 and their cannon fodder status.

I imagine the Bolians have excellent relations with the Ferengi Alliance.
The only thing about these people I knew from before is that you don't want to share a toilet with them
😁 You never really see toilet facilities on screen. But they do exist in tech manuals. What gets me is where the toilet was on some of those smaller (flying shoe box) TNG shuttle craft.

The Saratoga's Bolian tactical officer
The tactical officer, a Bolian male lieutenant, was one of only two bridge officers to survive the Battle of Wolf 359 in 2366. He was later forced to physically drag Benjamin Sisko away from the body of his deceased wife[Jennifer] to safety. (DS9: "Emissary")
The tactical officer was played by Stephen Davies.
Do Principality of Zeon!
Quarian
The only Bolian with hair that we saw turned out to be a shape-shifting imposter, so I’d suggest all Bolians are bald and that one just got it wrong.
BLUE
please do species 8472 next
Their home star being class B means the life on Bolias would have to evolve faster than anything on earth. Those stars only live for a few million years
IRL blue blood is copper based. (horse shoe crabs have blue blood) Copper blood is superior to iron blood as it holds more oxygen. It is however, harder to replace if lost, as copper is a much rarer metal on earth than ion. Making access to coper for blood a limiting factor for growth, healing and population size. Hence why the inferor iron blood animals won out over coper based blood.

can you do Cultural Index of Avatar's Na'vi please
The Cliffs of Bole
Picard sees a bald head and that is a chap we can trust
do you think you will do any Xcom aliens?
Quarrens for sure
Ahh so this is the species the Magnificent Ferengi couldn't ambush if they were blindfolded and tied to a tree.
