Kwilamba ekwesu......(Lamba is our land) Nakokuli imfumu..... (And has chiefs ) Chief Lesa, Chief Ndubeni,Chief Machiya, Chief Chigola, Chief Nkana, Chief Kalilele, Chief Mushili, all these are Chiefs. Mwebabyanji impinji yafika yakulima......(My fellows, time to cultivate has come). Ababyesu mu Zambia bonse balishibwike..... (Our fellow Zambians are awake) Nomba fwebo ichindo ichitupampishe..... (What is it that has made us not to be active) Twikatane bonse kuno kwesu kwilamba...... (Let us all unite in our lamba land) Buka wemayo buka we tata...(Wake up Mother, wake up Father) Buka wenkwasu buka wenkashi yandi .....(Wake up dear , Wake up my sister) Ukulima kuweme kumonamo uluboni.....( Cultivating is good, from there we realise money) Impinji nomba yafika twende fwense mukulima...(The time has come let us all go to cultivate) Noma njikwite nshaneko nakaonge....(Now that I have eaten and am full, let me dance) Nshaneko manchancha nshanine ba nkana....(I will dance Manchancha for Chief Nkana) Nshaneko shonongo nshanine bandubeni...( Will dance shonongo for Chief Ndubeni) Nshaneko akaonge nshanine ba mushili....(I will dance akaonge for for Chief Mushili)
They were very versilè when it came their ability to express themselves in various local languages. Silent ambassadors of the one zambia one nation motto. I miss these guys from North Western Zambia. Very creative.
@Emmanuel Sainende they were a mix. Chibangu was from Congo Mutemba am not sure, but Chisha was almost definitely Bemba. They had a legacynof N/W Music because of the founder Emmanuel Mulemena whi was Kaonde. And they dropped that Western feel of Mulemena after he died to purely local mix with a Congolese and South American influence on music and beats.
