I think this song were quite cute. A bit old fashioned, but still with a catchy chorus and a nice performance. The staging light were terrible in 1996, though. Nearly every performer looks twice their age.
That's so true now that I think about it. Maarja for Estonia looked about 30 when she was actually 15

@@Botafogoplayground Yes. In those times, the scope of the rule of age was that the participants should be 16 in the year they compete, no matter the date. Maarja from Estonia turned 16 in late 1996. Now the rule has changed a bit, since participants are required to be 16 by the Eurovision week
You’re right, she looks like she could be in her sixties here. After I saw this I googled her to see if she’s still alive. Turns out she was only 31 here, and in her Wikipedia photo from a decade later she looks much much younger.
True, she looked about 40-ish here. But that's the case for a lot of 90s / early 2000s singers. For instance, Claudette Pace from Malta was only 32 in 2000, and she looked 40. Nicky French from the UK was 36, and looking 50. In 2002, so many 20-year-olds looked 30.

The beat is the SAME as Linda Roos en Jessica - Ademnood, just a bit faster and higher.. it was a huge Dutch hit song just months before this contest lol. Kinda suspicious right?
I saw the name Regina and thought Bosnia had lent one of their rock bands to Slovenia for a year ( which might have made sense considering they had existed since before the breakup of Yugoslavia - the group reunited later and performed for Bosnia and Herzegovina in the ESC of 2009).
Cute song and it reminds me of "Cukup sudah" by Glenn Fredly.
I liked it quite a bit. But I felt it had more potential.

2) When did Bonnie Langford learn to speak Slovene?
No one seems to grasp that she is pregnant while singing at the eurovision. She is singing about how it is her most wonderfull day and celebrating love and what it leads to - children. The worst part is they made her wear an awfull dress trying to conceal her pregnancy

Yet another forgettable entry from the 90s, unremarkable. And it was 15 years dated even then I believe. It could fit as a B-side of Abba in 1980 just fine but it woulsld not be in Slovene obviously.
