Brilliant video, 3As and 1A* is amazing! Congrats 🎉 Thank you for sharing this story with us. It’s nice to hear everyone’s side of their med school journey and how they got there! It’ll be worth it at the end 😊 I have similar videos on my journey through medical school and how I got through it 😊
Loved this video, I’m an aspiring medic, thank you for reassuring me that there are always other options to get into medicine, if things don’t go to plan!
Rahhh, finally found a results day story that's as crazy as mine 😂 conragts though. I got a video suggestion, how did you first year of medicine go? How did you find UCL as a university?
They have asked for an a* in chemistry and biology for 2024 Entry too and I did t apply and instead applied to imperial and received a rejection as my combined score for action 1 and section 2 was less than threshold. Although I got 5.2 , 4.4 and 3A
@rukhsananoor9931 Oh it's 2A* in chem and bio NOW. Wow, that's mad lol, last year it was A*AA. Anyway I didn't get in, but I got in for nursing starting September cus I was not there when clearing happened as I was on 3 month holiday 🙃(probably the best thing that happened) because I'm in my gap year and I could finally breathe and think about what I wanted to do. Good luck and considering other options too
My son has got all 9s and his predicted grades for Alevels are ALL A*but still he hasn't got offer from any uni and his bmat score is11.6 and 3.5 in essay
hey, I love your videos and I’m aspiring to do mbbs at UCL as well! I’m currently in year 11 and was considering doing geography as my fourth option alongside bio, chem and maths. Would you recommend it?
As an aspiring med student who has just completed yr 12 with predicted A*A*A, I would strongly advise not doing 4 a levels. I’d say 95, if not then 100 percent of med schools only look at your top 3 a levels, meaning they couldn’t care less if you have done more than 3. The top priority is getting those 3 As, without them u have a really tough time looking at a medical career (ofc you have post grad etc.) but I say ofc do bio chem, but for your third do whatever you find will be an easy A, other than Cambridge (maths or physics) they don’t care what the third subject is (don’t do critical studies etc tho), so for you if u find geo easier do that vice versa. Most people that choose 4 a levels drop one in the first week 😅 Hopefully it helps! I chose psychology and am so greatful for it instead of maths, as psych is an easy a for me allowing me more time for chem which you will find the hardest!!!
Does UCL go into clearing? I got section 1 - 5.2 , section 2 - 4.4 and section 3 - 3A. And I have got a rejection from imperial. I didn't apply to ucl as they wanted an A* prediction for biology or chemistry and my A* was in biology... could I apply for ucl through clearing in summer 24?
What resources did you use for the interviews? I’m a student taking a gap year with a*aa and want to apply to UCL for med😭 didn’t get any offers after interviews
Hi! Aw no! Don't worry though you have plenty of time to prepare. The ISC medical book is really good but otherwise it's just a lot of practice. Theres a lot of interview courses out there, try and sign up to as many free ones as you can and if you're thinking of paying for any, the 6Med online interview course is the best one out there for the price. Keep practicing talking and building your confidence and try to figure out what went wrong in your interviews before 😊😊. Hope that helped 😊
Does clearance have to be on the results day? Cos I got unaccepted just now and do I have to reject my othe offers? tbh I only want to go to UCL and don't really care about my other offers but it feels safe to have other offers even though I want to fight to get into UCL
Great video i was wondering if you could answer my question that if my bmat and ucat score is above average but my cbse 12th score was 78% will i get into a med school in uk?
Amazing video, relatable to so many students applying who don’t experience the ‘typical’ smooth results day :)
Thank you so much Sakina, so much love to you!
You're a NATURAL at this!!!!
Thank you so so much!!

Don't they ask for A* in chemistry or biology 🤔 or was that for your year group 2019
They have asked for an a* in chemistry and biology for 2024

I did my ucat yesterday and got 2540 band 3 which wasn't what I wanted at all, but I'm hoping the bmat goes much better

I thought UCL doesn’t accept anyone through clearing! At least that’s for 2021 admissions I think ;(((( please does anyone know?
You're right they don't, watch the whole video 😊😊

Hi, were you a contextual applicant?
Decided against MBBS and went to US for MD as I believe MD is better. Although, the debt is probably going to be a killer
That's so interesting, never even considered MD because MBBS was much more accessible to me :)
Hey. You did schooling in UK?
Go on mateeeee
Thanks so much my medic bro from day 1!!
Is that youuuu yeahhh
Does UCL really care about Your GCSEs if you have really good grades for A Level
From what I know, they take everything into account- you should contact the admissions team, they'll be able to give better advice
U gave ur BMAT in year 13? Before your alevels exam?
yes
can you give gcse/ALevel advice?
Can definitely look into it!
What were your predictions? X
They were 4A*s for my a-levels
where are from?
WOOW more than 1K views!!🥳🥳🥳
I know!!! 🤯🤯❤❤
what were your predicted grades?
They were 4A*s
& I can't believe your geography paper went up by 11 marks 😱
neither can I 😂
Hello!!!
hi ari
Hi 😀
Yeah not going for medi gcse grades were just 6's.. So no point even if I get 20 a stars
