I signed up a few weeks ago and I have to say it's a brilliant platform - easily worth the money. When you compare the price, quality and amount of content - its a no-brainer. Many UA-camrs sell their "courses" for the same money, and these courses are typically worthless if not even harmful. The content on Puremix is very well produced, very entertaining, and very high quality. And the MixTank is just a killer feature - you learn so much by listening to others mixes and giving feedback.
One of the best reviewers I’ve heard on UA-cam. Another side perk, no obnoxiously loud intro music to introduce the brand. Keep them coming my friend.
Cheers dude. Means a lot.
Reeeeeeeeally appreciated the reviews of both MWTM and Puremix. Seriously helping me think about whether I should join up, and what to expect. Excellent job sir
You know what? Since posting this both MWTM and Puremix completely revamped their sites. Wonder if it's worth doing an update?
Please do!
@@ManchesterMusic Absolutely! Please do. I also think the developers of these sites take feedback from people such as yourself seriously, so I think its good to give the good and the bad. I have joined Puremix and have found it invaluable, but theres def room for improvement
I had no idea how great this site was. Thanks!
Thank you for a very fine review. This has really helped me. Tx
Thank you for this my man. 🙏🏻
Thanks for this video! You are awesome
Excellent, thank you!
amazing review! thank you
Thanks so much for this. I just signed up! Now I know that this vid is a bit old, but I’d like to ask if there is anything like this for orchestral stuff? Like lessons on miking a trailer or a cue?
I signed up after watching your video as last confirmation.
It's top notch. Every explanation is well absorbed by head. Very relaxed and informative at the same time.
Within the first week I could already successfully implement what I learned during that week and that brought my mixes to a noticeable higher level.
Thanks very much man.
Great video. Have a great life yourself!
This really helped thank you bro I subbed
Glad it helped
The only problems I have with PureMix is the layout is kind of confusing and the video's get out of sync once in awhile. Other than that, the Vance Powell stuff is worth the cost by itself.
I appreciate both tutorials .. I searched puremix v mwtm. I like the student price with mwtm b/c they don’t seem to have the walk through over the shoulder process I’m lookin for but I’m also concerned with puremix lacking much hip hop and but plenty they’re stacked with older dated content. Im sure there is a wealth of knowledge on both platforms but mwtm is far to expensive yearly with no 50% holiday discounts to consider when they don’t have step by step producing recording mixing and mastering from scratch.
“Produce like a pro” does a lot of this stuff…always does a live mix and also has a mix critique time
I had 1 year subscriptions with both Puremix and Mix With the Masters and the latter is definitely the superior website. I can't speak highly enough of MWTM. Take my advice and screen capture every video you watch on either site. You'll find yourself referencing back over and over again for a long time.
I love your channel bro
Hey, I hope you're doing great. My only concern is about results. After 4 years of subscription, are you close to what you're aiming to?
I wish they had an app!
I didn't know about this Website, I wish I did earlier, I'm going to sign up ASAP.
I really had to check / google first what that puremix is/was :-D
Hi Geoff! Thank you for this video. I also watched your review about Mix With the Masters. I am a working media composer, and I have really less experience about recording and mixing. I want to improve this skills. I often work on orchestral music these days. But as you know it depends on client's brief :). Do you think as a cinematic composer can I improve my skill set with Puremix or Mix With the Masters? Thank you so much again!
Honestly, I think there's much for you to learn in terms of basic mixing and mastering skills on each platform which you can transfer to you work as a media composer. However, with the exception of a few Alan Meyerson tutorials on MWTM there isn't a ton of direct, focussed 'composing' mixing tutorials.
@@ManchesterMusic Thank you Geoff! Your opinion will be extremely helpful.
I cant find the bar where it says topics and could pick which daws you wanna work on
I don't intend to become a professional mixing engineer... I'm a composer. Is this a good place for me to learn how to mix and master my own work? Great channel! Thank you!
As I've mentioned to another commenter: Honestly, I think there's much for you to learn in terms of basic mixing and mastering skills on each platform which you can transfer to you work as a media composer. However, with the exception of a few Alan Meyerson tutorials on MWTM there isn't a ton of direct, focussed 'composing' mixing tutorials. Where you could go to find better, more 'composer' mixing tutorials...honestly I'm not 100% sure.
If they did monthly competitions i could cxl my mix competition membership
Hello Children ... ... Voila 🙂
Soup to nuts.
Checked out some of their content. What I didn't like was that instead of breaking down the video into smaller chunks you get one long video. Not great for easily getting to the gold nuggets when the video is an hour or more
You're way too diplomatic when speaking of MWTM :D
WHY AM I HEARING OZZYMAN
