One little tip I learned for j turns in my Saturn SL(rip, you surprised many) is to jerk the wheel the opposite way you're planning to do the turn. Be very careful, it's really easy to give it to much and spin the opposite way, as I found out when my bumper found the side of a warehouse. As far as I can tell it gets the weight transferred a lot smoother, leading to a tighter turn.

I used my first check on it too. I cleaned it put at 350 SBC with dual quad manifold from Edelbrock then all the performer parts they had for it. It was a monster NA build. I worked my butt of to get parts motor was 30 over with a 400 crank think it was called a 383 but the 30 over make it bigger... bolted a 5 speed with over drive Richmond Super street manual transmission to it. Custom Ford 9” ladder bar with fat Mickey Thompson Sportsman Pro 29x15x15 tire on back and the stock 235/70r15 upfront. Cut the bed to hell to make the wide tires fit they poked about 1” but fender flairs was going to fix that. Finished the truck little after 16 years old. Sold it at 18 to pay for college. If you dumped the clutch from red it’d clear a two liter coke bottle. Had sand and antifreeze in a old gas tank where the spare tire was to help about 100 pounds if I remember right because I had to raise the coil overs up a good 2 inches. That was done before the LS swap the world days the last just introduced and was going in next years Corvette and that truck was only 10 when I started on it. Kinda miss it... it got parted out and smashed.

The trick to a clean rockford is to slightly jog the wheel in one direction first then spin the wheel in the other direction that you want the car to turn. This way the initial jog gives the car more spin for a smoother rockford😎
