Professional Grounding and Earthing of Audio Amplifiers

In this video, by the term earthing, I refer to the connection to the earth pin of the 'mains' power supply and by the term grounding, I refer to the connection to the zero voltage point(ground point) of the power supply rail of the audio amplifier.
Never connect earth pin and the ground point on the power supply together. Always connect them through ground loop breaker. Kindly follow the video and I have explained the connections in detail.
Specifically, I have explained about the requirement and usage of 'Ground Loop Breaker' for proper earthing and grounding of audio amplifiers.

This is interesting - the "ground loop breaker". 'll need to figure out how that is behaving to do its electrical job but sure seems like a welcome addtion for not much more work or money. I'm in the process of building a stereo tube amp and my main concern is apply proper and best grounding and layout. Thanks this was very helpful! Phll

Thank you dear, after 100 videos I finally found the video that explains. Always thought earthing and grounding is same. I just have one questions. How about 2 pin devices, how is earthing & grounding managed in 2 pin devices like tv? Also I have 2 very good amps from Yamaha and Marantz, both are 2 pin, eve the power socket at the back has 2 pins only, how is earthing managed there?

they have chassis grounding where there is *no* earth wire and *no* ground loop breaker, just the star ground directly to the chassis, hench *chassis ground*

@@garygranato9164 Hi. Can you explain what is the purpose of chassis ground in this case? Is it for safety reason? if yes then how? I don't have an electrical background so it's a bit hard for me to wrap my mind around!

@@anhhct i too am an amature. for safety the voltage is sent to ground. and also the chassis is used as a ground point/plain, stray RFI, EMI can be sent to ground via capacitors connected at the right place in the circuit. i think thats how it is anyway.

@@rahulsawant1493 Add an RFI EMI Filter to the power line of the amplifier. Search for the same on amazon. (Elcom brand)
