I've noticed she's not a crybaby like Leo and Rainbow was. Lily is a smart little baby, and Libby loves her much. She's gentle with her❤ unlike poor Brady dislocated his arm .
That is the amazing part , there are monkeys that are tantrum prone and others are much calmer, there are human babies like that too. It would be hard to compare it to other animals, like kittens and puppies , they seem to act more similar to each other mainly because they don’t actually throw tantrums.
How beautiful the way Libby gets down to her at eye level kisses her and encourages her to attempt to take a couple steps. 😍❤️ someone wrote she’s not training her because she doesn’t get down to eye level. She just leaves her and walks away to go grab snacks which is far from the truth clearly! 😊
Not all of the mothers are as engaged. Joyce did it with Jovi, and Rose did it with both Rainbow and Robin. In fact, I have Rose & Robin as my screen saver ❤❤. They're so precious!!
Libby is besotted but Lily is thinking why all this fussing, and playing it cool: what do you want mother ? Good to see Lily wrapping her mom round her little finger and calling the shots, instead of being shot at . Love has made even Libby vulnerable.

While baby macaques DO develop faster than many other primates, PIGTAIL macaques (like Lily) do not come out of the womb instantly being able to walk on their own. Typically 2-3 weeks after birth is when they walk in their own, although still wobbly and unsteady. LONG tailed macaques start walking on their own sooner than the pigtails. Their leg muscles are different than pigtails. Sooooo…. It is not laziness that Lily isn’t walking yet. She is barely 4 DAYS old. Her leg muscles have not strengthened yet. That said, Libby starts this walking “training” much much earlier than most pigtail moms. So it is not surprising when the newborn panics and often cries. They are barely days old and depend on the momma for protection and sustenance. 👍🐒👍

Libby is a great mom. She is more gentle and protective with baby Lily. Rainbow and Leo is protective 😊❤🎉🎉
