I was at the Palais that evening to see them and remember they were wonderful. It was a great time for music.
Where was the mecca palais about in Edinburgh.

ah..i remember it well...knocked the beatles off number 1. always wondered why manfred had a beard...very distinctive. paul jones to this day looks like an enthusiastic scholar.

First saw them 59 years ago at Southampton's Concorde Club. Got in an hour ago from seeing Paul & Tom playing in "The Manfreds" at the same club (though it's moved a few miles to a larger venue), still owned by Cole Matheson. Great then, great now,

The lead singer Paul Jones at that time had Acne scars on his face there is nothing 'Funny' about that, A very imature & ignorant observation but to be expected from someone who knows no better.
