The lads talk spear tackles, settling differences and if Ireland can repeat their Soldier Field heroics. - Спорт
I was waiting for Umaga and Trimble to pick up the sofa with O'Driscoll still on it and turn it upside down.
For BOD to put it behind him is noble. For Umaga to put it behind him is disgraceful.
Their relationship has had its ups and downs
I see!
Touche
What a wonderful thing. Respect.
Kiwi here, what a Great show! Trims is crack up! Also good to see BOD and Umaga together!
Hey! Cheers. Glad you are enjoying the show
@@nicoladollard1845 Without any apology still as far as I know...
@@jonathandough7251 And it is hilarious and pathetic how you're demanding some apology.
These two guys are fucking legends!!!! Love and respect both guys!!!! 💯💯💯🔥🔥🔥
5:49 good lord that's a long laugh
Great interview. Funny and interesting
Brilliant!
Ireland have a great coach and you have produced the results of course you are on our radar! As a kiwi we know we must respect that or get smashed
Two of the All time greats!! Awesome
Good stuff. These guys have moved on and so should the fans we don't need to cover the same ground for the millionth time whenever there's a Lions series or whenever Umaga's name crops up.
Especially considering that there is so much more to Umaga and his career and life than this one incident that frankly; was ridiculous to keep moaning about even 6 months afterwards.
Fantastic to see 👍
Good work by Trimble to be fair.
class........3 gents on a sofa having the craic .........just happen to be world class rugby stars :) this is 1 for teh collection - loving the show format.........so laid back - no teleprompters etc............syndicated television is DEAD and YOU boys killed it :) lol
Wow, cheers Ger. The boys are loving it too, and it hopefully comes across
a gent who could have put a fellow player in a wheelchair?no excuse no forgiving.
Media certainly milked this story for all its worth, 13years!! I’m Glad that narrative has now changed to how good Irish rugby is now. Always been a fan of BOD but more the way the Irish play their rugby now. Let’s GO Saturday!!
Tana has never been known for dirty play, but that tackle was a shocker!
that wasn't a tackle, it was gbh, now would be straight red with 3 yr ban
@@valentineodonoghue8908 3 year ban?😀
@@valentineodonoghue8908 Classic. There's dirtier play than that in just about every test match.
You Irish wonder why you're not taking seriously with this melodrama and hyperbole?
Haha this interview cracked me up. Fair play
Nice one trimby well done
That guys stories were hillarious
Bit o this, bit o that, you know yourself. Brilliant
Class from Trimble. Great guests in those two but Trimble dictated play well.
Nice to see they are friends again after the most shocking tackle I have ever seen
Best Mates sure!
Matching socks an all.
Brain still having nightmares about that Tana Umaga tackle
Love about Rugby.
hard for people to know how high the expectation is on Abs if you're not a kiwi. the only sports team i can think of with a similar sense of entitlement is real madrid. you should'nt just win but win well. i know the performance after the chicago loss got a lot of the locals backs up but i was happy to see a blood lust in the air amongst the boys after a historic loss. losing should hurt and revenge should mean something. i don't support foul tackles but by all means, hit em hard.
Love the needle between trimby and drico
Watch from 5:35 absolutely brilliant
Trimble is hilarious.
good sports commentary team for 2019 world cup well done guinness
Charity 'Guinness All Blacks team' Umaga and O'Driscoll in the centres... Trimbe on as a replacement ;)
I'd love to watch Alex play rugby lol
Umaga is just a knacker .
They'd have made a great centres 12, 13 combo too...
Hey Tana?
Yis bod bro?
What socks are you wearing to this Trimble thingy?
Aw the spotty ones bro ay.
K cheers maashe x
Yes! Good spot!
Did the lads get 2 for 1 on the socks???
If you for one second think Umaga and Mealamu intentionally targeted BOD, you need a brain scan. Inthe heat of the moment with adrenaline rush such incidents are possible.
Josh so the heat of the moment is the only explanation? The mere concept that it could have been intentional is so ridiculous that someone would need a brain scan? You're an idiot.
BrazenCelt man that was pure accident, no one goes on a rugby field to injure someone. Colin Charvis has a good word or two about Umaga.
@@BrazenCelt BOD and Peel stood in front of the haka and intentionally disrespected it by throwing the grass in the air. They knew what they were doing. And justice was served beautifully. That lions team was mentally weak anyway
Kiwi Jay someone throws grass in the air while you're dancing so you try and break his neck? Seems fair. Didn't realise the Kiwis were so sensitive
@Josh two trained professional rugby players accidentally picked a player up at the same time, turned him upside down at the same time and drove him towards the ground at the same time?
Trimby is great craic.
they are on good terms..... just look at the matching socks....
well almost
What happened in 05?
Umaga and Mealamu teamed up to dump or "spear" tackle O'Driscoll. Sure it wasn't the intention but he dislocated his shoulder and ended his series
@@joedotie he could've been full paralysed like wtf
Of course it was intentional oh for
60? Brian it was 106 years since Chicago won the world series!
Was longer than 60 anyway!
@@joedotie haha that's true! Great interview guys 👍
What happened in 2005?
Rugby players having a threesome... went wrong...
Lol
@@nuddz search "THE BOD SPEAR TACKLE" here on UA-cam
Nice to see , although many wouldn’t want to accept this , outside that one incident, tana was a competitive beast , but a gentleman off and on the field , it didn’t really match the rest of his career. Refer to the incident with Colin charvis as an example.
Cam Wells it’s funny how the Charvis incident is conveniently ignored.
BD Should have got over this years ago
He did, please point out the last time he publicly went out of his way to make any complaint about it?
arm day, bod?
This is not tiddlywinks
..Tana Umaga..
Am I the only one wondering what happened in 2005?
Mealamu and Umaga spear tackled O'Driscoll when he was on the lions tour in 05. It dislocated his shoulder and required surgery. Could have broken his neck but thankfully he recovered.
Nothing happened mate. A player was tackled, got injured. The problem was that he was a half decent player from a country that hardly produces them, so as you can imagine, there was was a bit of an outcry. 🤷🏿♂️
@@yermanoffthetelly Ouch! That's really told me. I am not gonna sleep after this burn. Keep them coming. If you don't mind a bit if advice, try and be creative and a bit more witty.

I still. Laugh to that day😂😂😂ALL BLACK FOR LIFE.. IT WAS A DISGRACEFUL TACKLE.. BUT 😂
Brian just to let you know you have your wedding ring on the wrong hand 😂😂😂😂😂😂
Brendy, that you?
Far out if these 2 can get over it why the fuck can't anyone else seems all people can do his whinge about it, News Flash, it ain't gunna change what happened
Easy for that idiot Tana to put it behind him! Don't think BOD could forgive Keven.
Tana's evenly spoken, reticent personality contrasts hugely with BOD's motormouth liking for the spotlight. Interestingly, while BOD "rated" in NZ, it was never high or even close to Tana's status.
Armand Crown “but hey, I’m not being bitter or anything” 😄
You don't think he's highly regarded in NZ? Sorry bro can't agree with you on that one, he was an amazing attacker and a very astute and tidy defender to boot
Well that would be a surprise? NOT! Yawn!
Tana Umaga; King of Spear Tackles.
@Liv N Have you seen his career highlight reel? And you don't think he's rated. Yeah right mate.
rugger bugger toffs
Just say Sorry, TANA UMANGA. Move on after that but don't brush it under the carpet. TOOL!
Horrendous tackle no doubt.
Did they mean to injure a player
No of course they didn’t.
Did they mean to fuck him up in the match yes they did.
I have played hard in my life and never went out to injure anyone but I really did in one match.
I dislocated his shoulder broke his collarbone and broke two of his ribs on a guy one Sunday morning.
He never played again
Did I mean to do the damage I did
Of course not
Did I mean to hit him hard enough to put him out of the match
Yes I did.
Umaga calling him a sook or something like that made it worse.
Bod is only being a gentleman and wanting to make this go away went for the only option and to publicly show his forgiveness but I reckon in his private thoughts he thinks differently which would only make him human.
Courts are full of remorseful guys who didn’t mean to do such and such when they were hammered at the weekend but the fact is they did.
Sometimes you just can’t turn back the clock but hey that’s sport and that’s life I guess.
I was looking forward 2 this till That sky presenter opened his mouth . alax blah blah.
How he can be polite to the scum Umaga is beyond me.
Pull ya head out of ya ass champ. Everyone has moved on - including the individuals themselves - sort your shit out
That doesn't surprise me and is a very sad indictment upon you and your shortcoming's.
umaga is evil
Ok, you must feel pretty cool after saying that?
Alex Kelly Can’t Ireland get over it by now? If he was in a wheelchair and was crippled then you could cry about it. No need to call him “evil” he’s a great player.
Ridiculous comment
@@HiHi-gn2dw
whats player quality got to do with morality? is winning more important to you than decency?
Umaga is probably a better person than you and your entire family.
