  • Here I will be changing the brake pads and brake rotors on my 2009 Nissan Murano. We also use a caliper puller (brake rotor puller) tool from AutoZone tool rental to release stuck rotors. New brake pads and rotors are from Napa and their Ultra Premium line of parts.

Good job, don't forget to clean and lube your guide pins. That will avoid to uneven wear on your brake pads and save few bucks

This video incorrectly states that the caliper holder bolts are 19mm instead of 22mm for the front brakes, and there are two of them. I had to reassemble everything till I got the right socket size to install the rotors. Other than that, great video.

there is usually a small threaded hole on caliper to screw in a machine bolt that that it oushes the rotor away from hub

If you put some anti seize on the hub it won’t stick next time.

If I am replacing only rear brakes on the same vehicle do I need to bleed the rear brakes?

If you are not replacing the caliper then there is generally no need to bleed the brakes.
