+megagene don't you love that track...when i found it I was like YES...that is PERFECT! I love scoring these episodes almost as much as i love filming them :)
That small section of waiting for him to pop out was one of the most tense experiences of my life....The lengths you guys will go to for a lizard is truly impressive.
+Brave Wilderness I've been a sub since you had just under 20,000 subs, congratulations on your success! Did you ever think your channel would grow so quickly?
I do something similar to that just not that hard. In my John Muir Award class we are helping the RSBP by carrying heavy bags of gravel up hill. When we finish we go get another bag. We do it once a week for 1hour and 10 minutes.
Special thanks to Mario for schlepping that five gallon deal of water from the car all the way back to that burrow! That had to have been difficult given the weight and the heat. That was a spectacular catch, Coyote! Thank you so much, BW team, for making such fantastic content. Happy Holidays!
Its June 3, 2017 and this is still the best episode of the channel in my opinion. The music timing was perfect when the lizard showed up, and funny as well how they all paused for a moment to catch it.
I have been subbed to you for a long while. You keep me amazed on how you know about all these animals and how I am a kid and very educated. Thank you so much Coyote Peterson you have brought me and everyone else so much love and education about Lizards and Arachnids. I also like how you add the Latin Names of each animal! Keep up the good work and I hope to see some great content!
I love the Iguana’s 🦎 expression when you were rubbing his belly! He’s just leaning back, like “Oh man, if I’d known it was Spa Day I would have come out sooner! A little down and to the right please! Oh yes, that’s the spot!”
+Skullfire06 hey dude... and everyone else... can you guys do a huge favor and check out my channel? Subscribe if you want to! and dont forget to subsribe to Brave Wilderness!
Well, to be fair (to poop)... Poop itself isn't terribly awful for most animals who have healthy diets. Most animals who don't eat fatty meats have very dry, compacted, non-smelly poop since the bacteria and moisture level is very low. A lot of animals will eat their own poop one time as a normal part of their diet routine for peak digestion (such as rodents). Others eat the poop of other animals of their species to learn more about them (if they are in heat, etc). Healthy poop itself isn't that offensive to the senses. It's the moisture of an unhealthy diet and fats that cause the bacteria that make smells. Humans with a healthy, natural diet (such as african tribesmen) process food within 24 hours of eating it and it's said to be very dry and compact, without much smell at all. Typical westerners eating modern day diets take up to 3 days to process it and well... Most of us know how that turns out in the end.
Once you get used to it it's okay. We get similar temperatures over here and since I live nearer to the equator so the sun rises overhead at the summer solstice. I can go 20-30 minutes without a sip of water.
I caught one of these in the desert and took him home with me. I had him for 3 years. His name was Saturday because I caught him on a Saturday and I was 12 lol. Definitely my favorite lizard and pet. So chill and relaxed. He loved cherries.
Nice catch, Coyote!!! I always dream of going to that desert and following your footsteps... But I am in Australia, I guess I have a lot of wildlife here as well, but most of it is pretty dangerous, such as various snakes, spiders and other strange creatures... Love your channel and keep up the good work!!!
i just found your account today, and I LOVE IT. i love animals and learning about them. you catch the animals and tell us stuff about them. this might be the best youtube account in the WORLD!! please keep the videos coming! :)
Wow, that was incredible! That grab was lightning fast, nicely done! And huge props to Mario for trekking 45 minutes through the desert. You guys sure have some admirable persistence. Hey Coyote, whenever you grab an animal quickly like that, how are you sure you won't crush it? Whenever I want to catch a lizard or frog or something, I always hesitate and back down because I'm afraid I'll accidentally squash it. Again, great video and amazing job! =)
+SheerSonic Thanks for watching.... with catch its all about speed and embrace on impact...I can move my hands very quickly to make a catch but the moment I make contact with the animal its almost like I cushion it... in this instance the water also took a lot of the impact which helped...and trust me, the lizard was just fine!
Great catch. I used to have a green iguana. That thing was like greased lightening. I actually named him rocket because he was so fast and I got him the weekend after Morris the rocket Richard died. Is the desert iguana have the same diet as the green iguana? I have seen pet shops feeding iguanas crickets. You would think they would know how to feed the animals they sell. sad great video.
1:50 - 2:48
The most exquisite music you've ever used. Sounds like it's straight out of a Disney movie. You guys have upped your soundtrack game.
+megagene don't you love that track...when i found it I was like YES...that is PERFECT! I love scoring these episodes almost as much as i love filming them :)
Coyote Peterson And the timing was perfect! I love how the song ends the exact moment when the lizard's head pops out.
+Coyote Peterson that was amazingly fitting coyote! can you tell me the name of the background music?? plzz

That small section of waiting for him to pop out was one of the most tense experiences of my life....The lengths you guys will go to for a lizard is truly impressive.

And they died from dehydration.
(Also how do you walk 45 minutes in the hot dessert and not drink all that water?!)

The music is very fitting and nice :) good job to whoever is the audio producer/manager.
Even though there are probably the same animals, you guys should release an episode in the Mojave desert
Hey Coyote, great video as always! Are you planning any cold-weather animal adventures? I'd love to see some polar bears, orcas, or penguins!
this video was exactly 1 year ago now!
At 4:19 of the video when coyote was showing the belly, when it slowly turned its head.... Priceless 😂😃😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 hahahahahahaha!
You would think they would know how to feed the animals they sell. sad
great video.
"things don't always go according to plan, especially when it comes to catching lizards." Yeah, dude that Gila Monster bite was incredibly bad :(
