When men that don't identify as anything other than their natal sex naturally grow breasts it's called gynocomastia, to indicate men can grow breasts without being trans and they can also lactate.
The point was lost on me. Women are not born, babies are born... Correct me if I am wrong, but my high school biology taught me that humans development went something like, ... babies, children, teens, adult... so to say a woman is not born with breast is a logically absurd statement, because no human is born at the last stage of development.

Andrew Castle's response to being 'got' was pathetic and spineless. When he got caught out, it should have been pause for thought, full stop. Instead he cowardly switched the complaint to the women that are offended being the ones complaining, not him apparently.
His job is to defend the arguement he has been given, from more of a neutral ground to hear what the caller has to say. To listen to the 'opposition' caller and stop, bow down and remove himself from the job of defending the arguement, is an act of accepting oneself as 'wrong' in this arguement. The caller was right, why is there need to attack the listener that agreed? We need more realisation that to bow down in arguement is not cowardly. What is, is the Internets need to attack and put people down.
We are at the point where feminism has been weaponized so vehemently against trans people that women's rights have been reduced to "cis tits aren't represented by giant clothing brands". The fact that this is considered a believable point of outrage is beyond cringe. I think the caller did such a perfect job of illuminating the absurdity of this story. Bravo. 👏

Remember when one or more newspapers had a countdown and celebration when I think Charlotte Church turned old enough to be leched at, like half the country were just waiting for the nod to be public about a childs sexualisation?
This reminds me of the transwoman from Tennessee who couldn't get her gender changed on her driving license so she went topless in the carpark and got arrested on a female only felony charge. This country is nuts.
@DanielJimenez-vq5gw it was the fact that in that state only females could be charges with that particular charge and Tennesse refused to recognise her as female but charged her as a female anyway. Similar things have happened in Austrialia in the past with topless sunbathing where men can sunbath topless but women can't so a transwoman tried it after being denied a gender change legally on her papers and got arrested. She pointed out that her papers said male but they didn't care.
Rather the indecency law is outdated and needs to include charging those who expose real or fake bits, be it man or woman. Not acceptance of ones fantasy.

But getting upset because a trans woman is wearing a sports bra is next-level, almost god-tier insecurity.
Being trans, it can be a nightmare to find bras that fit actually fit properly especially when your first start HRT. So to me seeing someone modelling them on tiktok actually can be extremely useful. I can imagine that a transgirl on tiktok has a lot of transgender followers so it makes sense to do a campaign to target a demographic who otherwise wouldn't be exposed to useful images of your products.
Exactly this. I have a spinal issue thats resulted in respiratory failure and paralysis so I can't have any tight fitting elastic round my waist or underwire. I'd all but given up on sports bras as they seemed to either lose all support or be designed by boob hating sadists. However this one looks rather comfy. So, ironically, thanks to the idiotic reaction, my attention has been drawn to it 😆
Well there is some hatred out there in that direction, don't get it mixed up. The way it's called "fake" in the first place without even thinking about the language is proof enough of that (the person still has real breasts, regardless of whether or not implants are in the middle of them). But they're certainly not the in-trend popular bandwagon of hate that being trans is right now.
Some actually do, yeah. It's a different issue (they claim it's somehow deceptive) but I suspect it comes from a similar place of crossed wires between arousal and disgust.

Sports Bras or chest supports primary function are purely for safety so not to damage tissue when playing sport or exercising. I’ve seen lots of male athletes especially sprinters, boxers and footballers wear Sports Bras. For support, monitoring heart conditions and gps tracking data. Also all men have breasts and can develop breast cancer or a condition called Gynecomastia. So I don’t understand the outrage by these phobic weirdo’s. I don’t like Nike due to their slave labour policies, nor do I like them due to their horrible reputation for treating athletes badly. However credit to them for this as it will do more good for everyone particularly when it comes to health and looking after one’s self, no matter what gender you are when playing sport or exercising.

Babies are biologically primed to develop in a specific way and a biological woman will more often than not develop breasts, so the caller's argument was nonsense. Dylan is a clown and a mockery toward women.

This looks awfully like a video of two dudes telling women what they can and can’t think about Nike (a company with an appalling record of using child labour).
So where was all the outrage when they were using child labor? Seems only when it comes to attacking trans women, so much money, time, resources and energy has been spent on making a micro minorities life harder, with the intent to legally erase them, rather than doing anything positive and helpful for society as a whole.
The policing of people's bodies...or gatekeeping...so how about an ad with Dylan as a black cornrow wearer? Or a large hairy man in women's underwear ads? Or a large 45-year-old woman eating baby food wearing a diapper. Let's stop this outrageous policing.
The answer lies within the question. At 3:30, the host asks " Do you understand that biologically born women are offended by this". To which the Trans replied " No I dont, I just think they are making a big fuss about nothing, and there is other things women should be concerned about"........I mean if this is not a quintessential Male response to a Female issue, then I dont know what is.

Bigots always go looking for trouble where there isn't any. If they didn't have something to pretend to be outraged about they'd have to look at their own sad lives and ask themselves why they love hating other people for not being exactly like them.
Companies like Nike, Budweiser and all these major brands know their audience well. They know what sells. They know that their future customers aren't hate-filled bigots so they're aligning with their customer base who accept LGBT+ people fully. Nike will be absolutely well aware that backlash from some people will happen yet they still did it because they know who their customers are. "I can't understand what all of this fuss is about" True - this has been pushed into our faces, especially online. Part of the fuss is valid imo I spent a few weeks analysing the issue and listened to both sides. I can see clear problems when it comes to invasive surgery and puberty blockers. I have watched multiple heartbreaking accounts related to de-transition after top / bottom surgery. I have also witnessed a hate mob stalking and harassing JK Rowling on here - at times calling for violence. I have concerns about the policing of language when it comes to use & application of specific pronouns. So ... maybe look a little closer at the drama. This isn't quite as clear cut as many would have us believe. A vociferous mob, chiefly online, are essentially bullying others to conform to idea sets, that for many, remain incongruent. If I decide that I now want to be classed as a woman and have access to their spaces, why should that be a granted right? None of this is to say that we should lack compassion, but I can see the issues and why others are up in arms. I just think we need to be aware that our current (mis)leaders will use these issues as a potential smokescreen.

*This reminds me of Tig Notaro,* an LGBTQ+ comedienne who was diagnosed with breast cancer a couple of years ago. Facing a perilous outcome, she opted for the aggressive treatment of a full double mastectomy, choosing survival over aesthetics (a choice many women face who, unlike perhaps Notaro, unquestionably fit the 'standard' of womanhood, notably Angelina Jolie). After a time healing, she returned to the stage, ending the performance with a thoughtful, but determined addressing of her experience, the fear and uncertainty she held, the shame she felt, the lingering question...am I still a 'woman'. She ended her set by removing her t-shirt suddenly, rather stunning the unsuspecting, yet supportive audience, as if defiantly answering her own question. She was heralded by breast cancer survivors and advocates everywhere, and rightly so, despite the many conservative detractors. I do wonder, however, if those same advocates who championed her "bravery" just a year or two ago are aware of their hypocrisy, considering many of those who supported Notaro then are vilifying the trans community now. Why is it brave for Notaro to bare her double mastectomy (in which freshly healed scars remained where breasts once had been), yet it is offensive to certain women for other women (who just happen to be trans women) to put clothes _on_ in the form of a sports bra? It seems incredibly antithetical to the furtherance of women's issues when 'feminists' themselves are the ones policing 'femininity'.
Yes, having a mastectomy is probably a necessary choice for many 'breast' cancer victims. Two of my family members experienced this, but it saved their lives. They never questioned their womanhood though, or perhaps that was because they'd already had children?
@@valerinajazz you're missing the point completely. In the UK the definition of rape is penetration with a penis. It is a 'penis crime'. Not all men are rapists but we all acknowledge a joint responsibility and recognise that women have a right to be assured that in certain situations they know nobody in that place has a penis. People who counter this with arguments that they are obsessed with penises mimic the position of those who say guns don't kill, people do. No. People with guns kill. And people with penises rape. Yet you and others vilify and insult women who dare to claim the right to be away from people with penises. It's the same old story of biological males instructing biological females on what they can and can't want. And in this case vilifying them for daring to even define themselves. It all went wrong when people started to deny the differences between trans women and biological females with the anti-science 'transwomen are (literally) women'. It's the left's equivalent of the right's climate crises denial. And speaking to you is like talking to people who believe the Bible is the literal word of God. Secondly on average one has to be with the GIC for about three years before one is offered hormone therapy after which it will take about 5-7 years for the hormones to do the majority of the hormone work. Now if one wants to go for surgery, the current waiting list just to access a surgery consultation is five years. So all in all we're looking at about 18 years to complete the job. So that said just turning into a woman is not that simple, but you could be forgiven for thinking it so if your source of knowledge isn't evidence based.
@sudenims5235 Adam has made a very good point. Also, trans women are "biological women" as you insist, because they are just as valid as any other subcategory of women. What trans women are not the same as, cis women. That doesn't mean that cis women are being erased, it just means we're recognising that there's more than one way to be a woman, and there's more than one experience of being a woman. By not recognising that, you are being misogynistic. I must add, that "biological" is far more than "basic biology", because it supports the fact that trans women are a women, and deserve to be treated as such, and also that intersex people exist. Additionally, I'm going to make it very clear, the research/statistics shows that cis women are more at risk by other cis women, than they are of trans women. You cannot use trans women as scapegoats, they are not the problem. And yes, there are the very very few bad assaults committed by trans women, but statistically, trans women are less likely to cause those assaults than cis women, and it also denies the reality that cis women can also assault cis women. Also, your scenario doesn't even take into account about trans men. If you force trans women into men's spaces, you force actual MEN into "women's spaces", because trans men are men. It then makes it easier for cis men to have access to women's spaces because they could claim that they're a trans man, which would make it legal because trans men are being forced into the "women's spaces".
Im open to debate and by the sounds of this comment section I see it’s one big echo chamber. In our haste for own justice let us not lose sight of those fundamentals.
I think you need to look into the stats if you think there are "genuine policy concerns" around trans people in sports etc. 20 years being able to be in the Olympics, no problems, barely even any trans competitors, suddenly framed as a problem now that we're being targeted. Trans women are in huge danger of sexual assault if forced to go to men's prisons, plus risk assessments around access to women's prisons already applied to every potential inmate. These have been settled non-issues until lobbyists decided to run us out of public life.
yeah, it's very disappointing that they consistently make these concessions and disclaimers. novara is better on trans issues than a lot of the media, but i think it still falls into the trap of false balance which it's so often critical of the BBC for falling into on other issues.
Very interesting that Sharron Davies has gone from arguing about "trans women in sport" to "trans women in sports bras" though. By interesting I mean oh wow who could have predicted this
Thanks for saying this, it’s only become a “problem” as more cis people have become aware that trans people exist everywhere in society, not just as members of the underclass portrayed in movies, and as more trans people have been more open about their transition. This policing of women in sport and demanding to be able to examine women’s genitals is nothing new. they did it in the 50s and 60s. it’s so gross that middle school girls in florida, if accused of being trans may have to undergo genital inspection to play middle school soccer. It’s child abuse honestly because it’s not a necessary exam or even one to protect their health. It reminds me very much of the “why are black people so good at sports?” “Do black people have an unfair sporting advantage?” and all the scientific studies and testing of Black athletes in the 80s/90s. What’s particularly gross to me is I feel like Lea Thomas’ story (I think she won one race and places in another in college swimming) got more outrage and attention than Larry Nasser being able to abuse literally hundreds of women and girls and was protected by MSU and USA-gymnastics. It really shows just how much these people give a damn about women.
Wi couldn't care less. For hundreds of years the biggest threat to women has been male aggression and dominance. If a trans man or woman wants to wear what they want to wear so what!! It's hardly the biggest world problem is it. God I wish we could all get off this issue. Trans in sports is upto the sport itself. If it's crossbow physicality would make no difference but if it's weightlifting it would, so the sport can decide. As for the advert, I wouldn't watch it, doesn't appeal to me but am I bothered NOPE!! Hardly hurting anyone is it.this is getting nuts now!
What the actual f*** is wrong with these people complaining about the ad? This is not about you. Can't your narcissism and complete lack of humanity allow you to live and let live?
Well, considering sportswomen have been fighting trans sportswomen off for a while now in the world wide sporting arena, I think this ad is just a bit of a kick in the face to them all... No? Because frankly I've not seen many women in this field who view their rights diminishing for trans women's rights to compete see this as a positive ad
That's because many mens attitudes towards women are frankly fucking awful, seeing them as second class with an interest in 'keeping them in their place'. It's repulsive.
I look forward to a time when nobody gives a damn about how another person presents themselves, but equally, a time when nobody is elevated in status because of a biological or social characteristic.
What if it’s a person born to Scandinavian parents presenting as Sri Lankan? Or a 50 year old man presenting as a 12 year old girl? Does anything go in the world you look forward to?
I suspect that Aaron and Michael know a little more than they are letting on but i'll put that suspicion aside for a moment along with my thoughts on the choice of examples given. Dylan Mulvaney rose to fame during Covid when, upon realising that his career as an actor was not going to be successful, he started a parody named "days of girlhood." With each video (or day of girlhood) he would behave more outlandishly. His portrayal of being a woman, or 'girlhood' is a unserious, ditzy, fun-loving, makeup obsessed caracature. I don't believe that he suffered any gender incongruence before he started this parody but he has stuck with it due to the ludicrous sponsorships that he has gained on the back of the 'trans rights movement' and the opportunity that provides for rainbow-washing - which is damaging to woman and trans woman alike. The issue here is not with Dylan per se or the use of trans models/influencers but with the massive jump from previous campaigns, such as the 'this girl can' campaign, which portrayed girls who like sports as determined and respectable to the irresponsible use of Mulvaney for advertising which portrays exactly the opposite. This, in addition to the current policy issues in women's sports, feels incredibly regressive. In essence, I think that this would have also provoked a reaction if a biological female had behaved in the same manner (though it would not have garnered the same amount of press coverage) and Aaron why are twitter posts about Radcliffe's wife relevant... Ad Homenim?
Lol, the irony of being outraged by women calling themselves "feminists" but not recognizing the absurdity of people with XY chromosones calling themselves "women".
Great publicity for Nike. I wouldn't have even heard of this bra if it wasn't for all the weirdos making a massive fuss over it. Personally, I couldn't give a shite who advertises a bra, I don't buy my bras based on the person they're paying to advertise it. Bizarre.

As an older cis woman the only thing I find offensive about this is that women in prominent positions such as Sharon Davies seem to think they speak for so many of us, she certainly doesn't speak for me or any cis woman I know, we've all got real issues to deal with. If she has enough time & energy spare to get so worked up about what someone else wears, then I can only conclude she has a very easy life with nothing of great importance in it to occupy her. I think she would do better for her dignity to shrug her (big manly looking swimmers) shoulders & maybe concern herself more with the unfairness of being judged by what we wear, something that cis women have been historically affected by & still are to a certain extent. If she wants to boycott a particular brand that's her prerogative but personally I find the brand in question the only one from numerous that I've tried that do footwear that suit my difficult feet. So it will take something far more important than an ex-sportsperson having a hissy fit to change my mind.
Remember, Sharron Davies had plastic breasts, to make her more feminine. She has an issue with trans women on sports, and she has extrapolated it into trans women not even allowed to advertise sportswear.

My mum cornered me with this story the other day. I covered most of the points highlighted in this video, but I really couldn’t believe I was having to explain this to her.
The problem with the generations is that they are all taught different things to in effect be a product of both their education and more insidiously, their conditioning, so yeah I at least do understand the position of the older generations but in that I would hope they are open to learning new things for education does indeed broaden the mind. Beyond that young folk what with their new fangled ways are a product of the older generations, for yes the oldies had a hand in the creation of the young.
@@Coelacanth1 the oldies were brainwashed to put their children in nurseries and state education. They didn't created this generation... The government and various global agendas created you. A cursory look over the last 100 - 200 years would show you this. Feminism getting all women including mothers out of the home would show you this. Gov now pushing 2year olds into childcare. You look but don't see. Sad.
I think peoples issue with Dylan is that their 'day 1 of being a girl' video is a complete parody of womanhood and that's how they got famous. We're fast tracked into meeting the US president and invited to give a speech on women's issues within a few months after THAT video. If as some people claim trans women are 'appropriating' womanhood then Dylan Mulvaney would be the walking proof. If you don't understand then go watch their stuff. The theory is that they aren't even trans tbh because they are that much of a cliche it's an insult. I'm sure there are plenty that would take issue with ANY transwoman in an ad but I think in most cases its just this particular choice of person.
Come on NM, don’t get sucked into this nonsense, unless you’re both wearing sports bras under your men’s clothing. But if saying female babies are born without breasts is a gotcha. You have to be as thick as two short planks not to see the flaw in that stance.
A "Big time campaign put out by a major corporation" used to cost a whole lot of effort and money back in the day, before those guys began giving them free advertisement by fake outrage for sending out a couple of cans of beer and a bra to a random TikTok influencer...
A lot of the kicks Dylan was doing would end up with 2 black eyes for a lot of women, of all the women they chose for a sports bra they choose someone with no breasts. Women are brought up to be self conscious about their breasts, they hurt at different points, they feed babies, but the person who felt like a woman yesterday afvertises women's sports bras. Bras that can make the difference between women entering a workout space or not. But what do I know just another stupid woman. The men are the experts.

Honestly no issues with Trans, no one deserves to be hated for who they are, there is enough reasons to dislike a person as it is. My only thing is that single sex spaces should stay that way, and given everyone states men are the most dangerous sex (statistically we are) means that Trans women are to be included in that threat bracket. Stay out of women only gyms and women’s toilets for example, and women’s sports. Now I am all for trans spaces as well, I get it a trans woman is not going to want to go into the men’s bathroom completely get that! So maybe we do create a neutral bathroom alongside men and women’s. My wife was groomed by her teacher and since then has a real issue with men she does not know, she gets uncomfortable and it can be a trigger point. So she used to go to women only gyms etc, but recently trans people have been joining her gym and she feels the few safe spaces she had are being taken away. She has 0 issues with trans people and acknowledges how hard it must be to go through that change and struggle but cannot help but think back to the fact that is a man. You have your bigots, ignore them. But there is a real discussion around women’s safety and how women are being forced to have their spaces and rights altered. Why do men not kick up much fuss? Because trans men are largely 0 threat to us, they are weaker. This is not to say trans women are all threats of course they aren’t. But I hope that my main point has come across. Don’t hate trans people for being trans, don’t single them out or belittle, BUT let’s not pretend that discussions need to be had.
It's safe to do so now. Israeli shops have been dealt a hammer blow by sports clothing manufacturer Nike. The mega-brand has announced that it will end the sale of its products in stores within the occupation state in a move welcomed by social media users as another victory for the international Boycott Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) campaign.
Yeah never liked them before, because i got the idea somewhere it was clothing made in countries with slave/ child labor, mostly worn by either sports people or street criminals, but now transgender people also wear it am going to buy some.
I'm really going to have to disagree with you guys here. The purpose of a sports bra is to add extra support for larger breasts when doing sports. Even a CIS woman with small breasts would defeat the advertising purpose of this product. How can you demonstrate the support provided by the product when the model doesn't have the attributes to highlight the purpose of the product (CIS or Trans)?
The inventor of the sports bra, Lisa Lindahl, invented it (the Jogbra) so any woman of any shape and size didn't have to wear a normal bra while jogging. The size of Jogbra to choose was even aided by a gauge. "To help women determine their ideal sized sports bra, based upon the size of their everyday brassiere and their sport, the gauge allowed the buyer to rotate the wheel to select her size, line it up to the column containing her sport (the columns were divided into high, medium or low motion control requirements), consult the images of the various models offered to find her preference, and then go to the slot at the bottom of the gauge to see what size she should buy." -- Smithsonian Museum.

Reminds me of the attempt by Candace Owens to argue women in wheelchairs shouldn't be used to advertise bras and that everyone sensible would agree with her. Not including sections of your target demographic is just bizarre.
What happened to not getting offended on behalf of others? Didn't these people used to complain that people get offended too easily? What happened to that?
She certainly shut him up! Live and let live, as long as you're not hurting anyone. That goes for furries, weebs & waifus & technosexuals too! Tbh I think people just can't stand other people being happier than they are... even when you're socially harrassed for being you!
Does "waifu" mean the "they're just pictures" crowd who draw characters that look like children as objects of desire? Because if that's what that means then those people ARE harming anyone. I will not be lumped in with them.
Trans 'women' being ocntracted in to advertise bras is hurting actual women, financially, to begin with. And how about, for once, you lot stopped justifying men telling women what they are? That includes men who claim they're women, cocks and all.
Dylan is all over the place - the Dylan brand requires a trademark. He did a great job marketing himself as a "real girl" (quote) waving Tampons around. Before this masquerade, Dylan was clearly a gay man.
I think the problem here is that Dylan Mulvaney is not a woman. He's not a woman who looks 'mannish.' He's a man. Because he's putting on a performance of some stereotype he has in his head of what being a 'girl' is doesn't make him a woman. As far as feminism goes, knowing what a woman is fairly central to it, I'd say.

I think that we all have only one life and our first responsibility is to be kind to each other. I'm well over 60 , have led a very good and full life, experiences that people now wouldn't believe. This is a world that has changed in so many ways. When I was a kid back in the 60/70's trans men and women were accepted.

Oh thank god for reminding us of those fundamentals.
By interesting I mean oh wow who could have predicted this
Agree 💯. Novara could do better.
It reminds me very much of the “why are black people so good at sports?” “Do black people have an unfair sporting advantage?”

What’s particularly gross to me is I feel like Lea Thomas’ story (I think she won one race and places in another in college swimming) got more outrage and attention than Larry Nasser being able to abuse literally hundreds of women and girls and was protected by MSU and USA-gymnastics.

A parody of womanhood is spot on. Mr Mulvaney is indeed an appropriator of womanhood and probably hates natal women.

Lighting a fire takes 30 seconds, putting it out takes an hour
They did the math
And once the fire is out it then takes us weeks, months or longer to fix the damage

Didn't notice at anypoint where he was speechless, and that Dylan person is a bloke.
@2:55 he literally says "I don't even know what to say really"...
@@luckystripe672 That is exasperation at trying to converse with a halfwit, not speechless.
@@roderickmathieson2504 but the caller was right though, so that doesn't really make any sense.
What happened to not getting offended on behalf of others? Didn't these people used to complain that people get offended too easily? What happened to that?
It seems that everyone else is allowed to get offended except straight people , surely as an advocate of fairness it’s a little unfair
@@adamwade2054 No one isn't allowed to get offended. No one isn't allowed to call people out for getting offended about nonsense.

But hello transwomen need bras because our developing breast hurt!
Geez, now I have to go out and buy some Nike wear. These hateful people are going to break my bank!
Nike is cooler than ever now.

I swear I never heard of Dylan Mulvaney before, and now I get at least 6 scheduled Mulvaney updates per day from conservative pundits
Dylan is all over the place - the Dylan brand requires a trademark.
He did a great job marketing himself as a "real girl" (quote) waving Tampons around.
Before this masquerade, Dylan was clearly a gay man.
@@JB.zero.zero.1 Spotted the divorced person
Why would a man need a sports bra.
Just getting very boring now!🙄
I’m surprised the host didn’t reply with “tHiS iS jUsT eLiTiSm” in a whiny voice. God, does anyone remember that moment with Dalia on LBC?
@jamesobrien is ALWAYS respectful and he’s on LBC 🤷🏻♀️
