Speaking of Sacrifices made by Parents, My Mom got divorce from my father when I was just five. She single handedly raise me and my younger sister. I still remember the times, when she used to work whole day at her Salon and then came home and prepared meals for us. She is one of the most hard working women I have ever seen. And today I am 29 and have several gas stations in Atlanta, Blakely and Damascus. All because of Blessings of my Mom. 🙏🏼🥺❤️

This podcast made me cry. When Neville was talking about his mom, he fulfilled some of her wishes but couldn't fulfill all of it, I could relate. I live in Canada and I bought my first car last year with my income and my mom was so happy. She even put the pic of the car as her profile picture on whatsapp. My mom and dad have struggled so much financially in their life but they made me and my brother capable enough that we both are earning good now. Their struggle was finally ending and their time to live the life to the fullest was coming. I so wanted her to come to Canada and sit in my car and show her places in Canada. But the fate had different plans. She passed away last year, exactly one month after I bought my car. She couldn't even sit in my car with me, she couldn't even come abroad to me. This regret will be there with me till the end of my life. I could fully understand what Neville may be feeling.
I love you guys and keep making us laugh.

My parents have been married for 35 years. Dad christian and mom Sindhi. Obviously love marriage and their love story seems like its out of a bollywood story. Dad used to work for a hotel and mom for bombay telephones. Dad fell in love with moms voice over the phone and they continued their relationship for 3 months without actually knowing how the other person looked like. When they finally did decide to meet, dad told mum to meet him at Thane train station and they decided how to recognize each other by the clothes they were going to wear. Mum waits for him at the station and dad stands at the bridge so he can check her before actually meeting her whether its worth it or not. Dad finally goes and meets mum and the first impression was shes very beautiful and had really nice long hair but only 1 drawback that she was too chubby. so cut to 6 months later they decided to meet again and guess what, mums lost a ton of weight and dad decides shes the one. But being a typical hindu conservative family in the 80's, mums parents decided they are not going to allow this relation. So mum and dad both being rebels decided to elope and get married in the court. After getting married they went back to their own respective homes acting like everything is normal. 2 weeks later when they decided to go on a so called date at a cafe, dads mum recognizes them and they start running away. Dads mom tries to catch them but they were too quick for her. When dad reaches home his mum asks him about the earlier incident and thats when dad comes clean about his marriage. Granny being the amazing lady that she is accepts them and decides to have an official church wedding so they both can actually live and start their life as husband and wife. But on the other hand mums parents were completely against the relationship and decided to throw her out of the house. Granny accepted her and 35 years later they are still happily married, located to Oman and have 2 amazing grown up kids and a beautiful daughter- in- law.

Thanks guys for this episode.. especially Bawa for sharing his insights.. some of his parts got really emotional for me.. realization of what my parents have sacrificed for me to have a good life.. they are in that age where I'm slowly becoming my parents parent.. I worry sometimes about loosing them both & it worries me.. I know I haven't achieved much in life, no car or house of my own.. just a humble job that pays enough for me & family to get by.. I wish I had done more to achieve more in life but honestly I'm satisfied for myself but want to thank them somehow for everything that they have done for me.. wish it was easier to just go up to them & hug them & tell them that I feel so proud of them & always thankful for all the sacrifices they have made for me..
thanks again for the episode guys.. makes me wanna hop on a flight & go to my hometown near my parents.. but damn this corona..

Thanks Varun for the like.. feels special that you guys actually read through these comments.. I comment very rarely but mostly when an episode really makes me either smile ear to ear or bring nostalgia.. today's episode was above & beyond than every other episode.. truly special episode.. hope you guys keep giving us more of such special episodes.. ❤️❤️

Damn I just figured out just how many things I have in common with all 4 of you
Kautuk- His dad was a professor of brand management at my MBA school.
Aadar- I went to Utpal Sanghvi School too but obviously not the same batch
Neville- That JVLR building where you have a flat. My family owns one there too
Varun- BC YoungBuzz personality development mein sirf chopsticks use karna seekha main bhi (way back when I was maybe in the 4th grade which is why we weren't in the same group)
