It's an alright mod. The struggle of getting, raising and levelling a mount is much more rewarding and infinitely better than just beaning one over the head and giving it food. I liked the concept of animal hides and the idea of nests.
That said, it does have some glaring faults, like how your stats are neutered and the randomness of the spawns and its penchant to happen right infront of you
Overall though, a solid 8/10. I like the concept, but I'm not touching it ever again. Unless the mod suddenly becomes compatible with KBD then maybe
@@thatreasonableork1513 Tell ya what, i've been playing it with some buddies lately on a small hosted server and it's been pretty damn fun, so it might just be the solo struggling that really brings the pain, at least when we die together it's funny lol.

The original Valguero map did have a rock drake trench, but when Wildcard bought the rights to distribute it as an official map they wanted rock drakes to be Aberration exclusive and removed them from Val (and changed their minds when they did the same with Fjordur years later). So your fans weren't completely wrong on that one.
Very cool to see the Hunted on Valguero! I usually see this mod on Ragnarok, which is one of the maps I haven't played myself.
there is a mod tho called the chasm i think and it adds back the rock drake den and a couple other creatures that wildcard deleted. Its the same with crystal isles it adds all hhe crystal creatures griffins rock drakes and all those

In valguero, beach 2 is the best place to make a base. You can find crystal, pearls and oil under the small narrow streams. Metal and organic poly is also very close. Overall very convenient to live in

You know it's going to be good when you see a death counter in the top right hand corner of the screen immediately after the intro. A+ content. Much good.
Little tips, in option you can turn off all the costume, so when you respawn you didnt have your inventorie full of it

There is a mod called valguero dinos and map extension which adds rockdrakes, managarmrs, velonasaurs, etc. and rockdrakes used to be on valguero but the devs removed them for som reason

If anyone plans on playing the hunted try and find a wolf den or equus early on. Them being mammals i think means higher chance of babies in the area, and they don't need saddles to be mounted.

the thing about deinonychus and equus is that you can aquire them in default levels
even tho they are in the game, its tecnically cheating since the idea is growing/taming lvl 1 dinos
the original mod for val had a drake nest area, but when they made it an official map they took it out.
