Just double checked in the game after the patch, you can get more than 2 T17 mods on a map when rolling but it feels like I averaged about 2.5 after spending 20 chaos rolling a map.

thing Ive hated this league is that the rushers got up to the top (as per usual no prob there). then it was one broken farming after another and the prices for things stayed higher than normal even for the regular stuff. so much currency floating around up top that it created an unnatural inflation. I had issues with my first build which mid teir mapping kinda requires a refit that normally is 20-50c was met with 20-50div. HH and MB might be cheaper than normal, but everything else is just crazy.
I'm going to give the league a little bit more play. A lot of people are very negative right now but I think it's for the better that these changes happen now. I actually like the league mechanic but I guarantee I'm in a minority on that one. There was absolutely no winning on their end from nerfing or leaving it. Someone is going to be angry regardless.
I would personally like to see improvements to the base game next league more than anything. Or now. Specifically more scarab slots possibly from killing actual Exarch and Eater and generally just better ways to actually target farm league mechanic / master scarabs. As of right now - the game feels very annoying despite the "quality of life" that was added. The base game is usually something you can fall back on if a league mechanic flops and I feel like that is the most important thing they could keep polished. It is incredibly demoralizing just how few of some of these scarabs I have despite being fully specced in and juicing from probably day 3-4. Just really feel like it's not something you should have to spend half your trees point on. Something nice would be increases to "X" popping up to also give a more multiplier to that scarab. As of right now - we can only block _some_ of the ones we don't want and generically increase everything. Some of these scarabs are very fun but it's just pain and misery.
I don't see the current difference between the system we have now and what we had before. Sextants also lasted 16 maps unless you decided to do 4 for whatever reason. A scarab lasts one. You have to trade more for these things. In some cases - you have to use more scarabs to do what you could beforehand. Or you just straight up can't get what you had beforehand. The 3 wheels in the middle for more scarabs is just pain too. It's a very annoying extra hoop you have to jump through that can be solved with what I said about scarabs being on increase chance nodes. There's just so much wrong.

The "ctrl + right click" to instant skills is a nice little touch - it frees up a lot of space, since you can just ctrl + right click your auras now (well nice for softcore atleast lol)
I already gave up on the league. My league starter just wasn't tanky enough in maps and the league mechanic just made it impossible. The left mouse button change just broke so many builds to boot. Maybe next time...

Are the drop rates lower for currency in this league ? Crafting odds seem bad also.
I wish i enjoyed the graveyard crafting. but the whole user experience of it is so, so bad that i just can't be bothered. nothing about it is fun at all to me.
and now what else is there for this league? the lantern mods are basically entirely pointless now that the rare rewards have been made virtually nonexistent. i barely even look at the lantern. allflames seem pointless.
honestly looking forward to next league. this league has been the worst feeling like everything is balanced around the top 1% of players. they all made a billion divs and got everything they needed, then the strats get nerfed and us casuals got nothing and have no buying power while things are back to being expensive. Sucks
For someone who plays this game at a casual rate, the influx of mid league nerfs and constant changes makes it very hard to want to log in and plan on doing any specific content
This patch is not a nerf to casual players though, it's a nerf to the players who minmax farming strats to the extremre in ways that sometimes border on exploits.

The only things nerfed have been really degenerate gameplay (seer and go stuff) and extremely overpowered things (T17 ghost farm, anarchy+beyond farm). If you don't feel like playing, don't blame it on them nerfing fubgun

They turned it into a RL simulator: a small fraction own the majority of wealth and can now manipulate trade to their benefit and the detriment of everyone else. All this while the average player just tries to keep up with inflation.

whole game is balanced around the 1% of people nolifing the game. they all farmed a million HHs and MBs and now they bought they back off the market and relisted for 5x the price they were yesterday. Yep feels like real life. I wish i could have abused the strat needing like 50 divs per map lmao
@@antonego9581 so true. I play on PS and last league someone (Creeper16 or something like that) owned like 80% of the MB’s and listed them for 69 mirrors each. This helped keep the price of actual MBs for sale at ~250D. Obviously they had no intent on selling, they were doing it to screw with everyone. Some people just want to watch the world burn haha.

Most important:
Fixed a bug where the Suspicious Rock Pets were no longer throwing rocks at players.
Added a "Maximum" for the Stock Count filter to the Bulk Exchange. -> don't but stuff from people with over 1000div :D
I was farming up for HH while the prices were low and I passed out about 2hrs before they did the changes and when I woke up they were up 25 divines. I was like few divine short too big rip
I'm just gonna make a delve character and dig deeper and deeper. With 100% Niko spawn i don't even need scarabs or missions anymore... i'll be enjoying all the trade drama from a deep hole :)

i sat down last night as decided to buy progenesis at 100div instead of mageblood. now this morning progen is down 20 divine and mageblood is up 50/60div.
can they just stop changing shit please. can i stop losing 30/40/50 div every time i go to sleep.
The economy has definitely been extremely volatile this league, to the point or being broken.
Yesterday, I was selling my valuable stuff and I considered that everything that didn't sell in the 20 minutes would potentially crash to oblivion. I'm glad I did, sold 2 veiled orbs for 5.5 div each, now they are worth 4 div.
This is not acceptable.
But I guess GGG didn't expect anyone to play this league ? It definitely feels like a beta for the reworked atlas and scarabs.
I dropped and sold the curation scarab for 15 div, nex morning the strat came out and it spiked to 25 div to reach 35 div by the end of the day. I'm glad I didnt buy 2 of them for 35 as investment because how they could potentially be 50 div next day, now they are 7 div.. Its so fucking annoying how extremely volatile the prices are this league.

Hey man, thanks for keeping the positive vibe. I'm planning to get my 2 remaining voidstones this weekend and couldn't care less about how many headhunters drop in someones juiced T17 map. The league has been fun so far and is getting better with every patch. Game on!

Mines trigger change you mentioned means you can use the mastery and still keep the manual trigger which wasn't possible previously for times when you don't wanna move. Great change.
I’ve been playing semi ssf anyways. I haven’t dropped a divine at all this league. One of my characters is lvl 95 and the other is a day into mapping. I’m just glad the crafting is accessible to people who don’t dedicate their existence to min max
Level 93 and doing t16s trying different strats. Ive had 1 raw and have only had 6 total and those came from delve item sales. Want to buy an indigon but cant farm ubers myself yet, on console and only have like 1 or 2 for sale at a time and theyre 15d. Having fun but not like last league
That seems unfair, I left to play during my vacation, now feels like my economy standpoint will not be "balanced\fair"
hey @subtractem. have you seen "Lahkesis Queen of Chaos"? this guy is using ED/Bane and is clearing t17 maps but he has hidden his characters-tab and doesn't show a pob. can you find out what this guy is doing and create the legendary ED/Bane one more time? i would love to farm t17 with my lovely ED/Bane :D
Love this update. Been doing GSF with 10 of my best friends and we’ve felt very punished this league for not playing trade. Hope this update makes things a little easier
The bug fix I care about the most here might be the one about grave crafts for shaper/elder/conqueror influence items not dropping.
As someone playing a totem build in SSF that is huge for getting myself a good +1 totem shield, if I can get the crafts to drop anyway. lol
I am doing this league the first time my own thing without any big guides and I have fun as hell. The 3 atlas tree feels so great, that I can switch any time I want.
Glad that they nerfed it, because this always feels like you have to do it. There are strategies, but this was so broken.
Decided to give your build a second chance as a second character and goddamn i was wrong the first time. Your build rocks! Even still on "crap" gear and going for early red maps. Awesome
For most people I talk to.. it isn't really comparison. It is "I want to do this thing cos it looks cool"... "oh, now I can't because the economy is fucked, guess I'll go play X other game".
Yeah... I am done with this league. The rich ruined the economy. Then with the nerf my shot of making money off em is also ruined. Raw divines and stacked decks are nerfed. The collecting and burying 80+ corpses is tedious. The QoL changes were nice, but hopefully next league is something more interesting.

No direct competition mean no fluctuation in prices.POE economy had always cater to those whose can abuse the game via 6 man orgnaised play, MF ing often and ealy or just finding obvious insance strat then buying all the necessairy component thus driving price higher and give you monopoly on those strats.
I've barely had time to play besides after work for a few hours sometimes and it just doesn't even feel worth playing this league anymore after printing mirrors last league.
This is it for me. Now 1% will have even more than in past leagues and rest won't be able to catch up even in 3 months. I'm done with this league I'll come back in 3 months or whatever. GGG need's some QA team to test this shit before release.

I interpeted the veiled orb change as same rate for high level catarina as now and adding the drop at a reduced rate to lower level. Guess we will see. Kind of ambigious wording on patch notes there.

Your chances of getting a mageblood are the same, every league. It’s 50/50. You either get one or you don’t

I found 3 Curation scarabs and was able to buy a Mageblood for 120 div before it was nerfed and the prices of Mageblood went back up. Frostblink build is going much better now. I was able to complete the first t17 map i tried today.
Random Betrayal question: I've seen Alk drop full stacks of div cards in safehouses this league, but I haven't used betrayal recently at all and would like to know how to do that. Is there just a base chance they drop as a full stack ? I didnt find a node on the atlas tree for div cards
Rank 4 Gravicius in Transportation rewards a full stack of div cards. To get rank 4 rewards they have to be Rank 3 before you enter Mastermind's Lair and kill Catarina, and for that specific reward Grav must be in Transportation.
Gravicius in transportation will give you full stack of div cards in safehouse loot room
New player question: Is it possible to beat the 10 Acts with only normal-quality gear? No magic and no rare gear [maybe not 100% normal items. Maybe some exceptions could be made for purely elemental resistances]. And if this is possible/has been done before: what skill gem build would be best?
the way its done by GGG this time iss THE WORST it feels super bad to play this league economy wise, i feel left out and punished by every update even if they're the good solution long term.....

I hope they siginificantly improve the drop rate of Valdo Puzzle boxes, I've really enjoyed farming foiled uniques on valdo maps for profit but this league they are practically non-existend and if there is one or two maps for sale they are more expensive than the unique they drop
Thanks for the update vid and the final words at the end. I was really discouraged when I heard about the mirrors strat, but now I can get back to my usual grind.

There's 8 mods per t17, and only minimum 2 t17 mods, will still be possible to roll with all t17s
I just double checked in the game, T17 maps only have 6 mods but you're right that it's possible to get more than 2 T17 mods. I dislike how they worded the patch notes saying "it always rolls with 1 prefix and 1 suffix." If that's the wording that they used for an item it would ONLY have 1 and 1 and never more or less but it appears you can get more.
@@subtractem sorry I haven't done any myself yet but I swear I keep hearing UA-camrs say that they have 8 mods. I started in HC (and a week late) this league so I haven't gotten up there myself yet
Good changes if you ask me. Ideally these things could be done right the first time, but it's better late than never.
its actually, objectively, a net negative to the majority of players to do this nerf now. GGG are in a tough spot. They clearly didnt understand the interactions that could occur with the T17 mod and scarab rework but they had to nerf it. Now people who didnt abuse it are getting even richer by the second as prices skyrocket and the people who didnt abuse it will be priced out of a lot of things.

They didn't have a problem playing previous leagues with normal prices, but now, the normal prices after the patch are unacceptable.

@@bretthuston4727 Firstly, if you play anything other than sc trade then it doesnt affect you. With that out of the way, the reason its a net negative at least in the short term is bc of the way the economy works in poe. The prices of everything are determined by what the top 1% of players are doing. The price of HH was in the gutter yesterday because they were printing HHs. Its back up today because that got nerfed. Thats just one example and this applies to every global drop. Essentially the point is that prices of everything will go up or down based on what the top 1% are doing and since most people are not top 1% (obviously) they will be affected the most. The immediate affects of the nerf are prices rising. This negatively affects, for lack of a better term, poor players. It has no effect on the semi-rich players. It benefits the top 1%.
Rare for me, but this actually feels like a "too little, too late" kind of moment. The damage has been done to the economy, and deflation was actually benefiting the casual players at this point. Whats going to happen now is these items will double or triple in price and those who farmed them will long in in the morning with 3x the wealth respective of the economy than when they logged out.. mid league patches like this are what create FOMO for the playerbase. The top .1% are able to experience something that the rest of the olayerbase quite literally likely never will get to now. There is no aspriational farm to try to get to. It is simply "sorry, you missed it".
To be clear i get GGG is in a tough spot but i think the patch needed to happed days ago if it was going to happen at all.

Its week 2 you will be ok. or you wont and you will quit , such is life. Complaining helps nothing. Also if you wanted a mageblood and got greedy thinking ohh it will get cheaper thats on you. I personally aquired mine when i saw the price tanking because it seemed obvious they would have to do something about a strategy that was printing 50 plus divs and multiple mirrors a map.
Fully agree. This patch needed to happen many days ago or not at all. My buddy was probably less than 3-4 hours of allflame farming from liquidating everything and buying a Mageblood. Patch notes dropped and half his wealth immediately vanished. The kicker on top is that Mageblood is going to be 2-3x the price within days.
Mid league patches like these create *actual* FOMO, where if you aren't there to capitalize on stuff immediately, it's gone for good. He's played 8+ hours a day since league start and he's now completely lost all motivation to keep playing. He was 95% of the way to finish line and the refs ran onto the track, broke his leg, and moved the finish line 3 times farther.
After both of us being quite optimistic throughout the entire league, this was quite the kick in the balls.
Ofc the top % will always be the first to experience strats like this. There are so reasons why. Plus I swear this wont be patched if the strat didnt go public

I feel like this is the problem with balancing around the existence of the economy as opposed to the EHG approach. If the economy gets screwed, it isn't just the "opt in traders" who got screwed, but EVERYONE to a greater or lesser extent. It's an all-around FeelsBads, ya know?
Its even bad when you understand that in an economic sense POE is an economy player based and there is no direct mean of competiton to enter said market.Price will always be fixed by no-lifer and 1% its a sad reality. 6 man group of orginased play will always outperform the smaller group of solo play in the long term.There isnt a real fluctuation of prices on the day-by day basis. its either going up and up or down and down

There is A LOT of league left for the economy to level itself out. If people think the amount of mirrors gained in a couple days compares to the overall spread of mirrors in affliction I think they may be surprised.
It's the FOMO. I never reeeally think FOMO's valid, but i get it if you saw people make all that money for so long and now you can't but they keep the money.
@@LikeACrouton Nope FOMO exist when every other curency stragtegy doesnt come close to this one.Its always the case in very league, some strategy is discovered that outclass evry other one the people feel forced to do it to keep being competive with said market .
and economy level itself out when direct competition force price to adjust but there isnt direct competition in the first place. iether you have to mean to do the best strat and keep up with the economy or you dont and you keep chasing. Thats the principal weaknes of player based economy and its always the same.
The economy is already broken, that will not fix that, just not make it worse.
leaguehack: wait 4-6 weeks into league, buy however many divs you need from g2g or whatever when no one cares anymore and its cheap af, play some build you want, quit OR spend 1000h farming shit strat making you 10d/h tops, get miserable af watching people abuse the shit out of the game and realise all you're doing is putting stuff on the market for them to use their abused currency on, quit once you have the gear you're actually going for

This league is silly
People who abused it and caused the price drop in the first place now buying out the Magebloods and Headhunters for the mirrors they've made in the 3 days abusing this strat and reselling them for 2.5x the price, seems fair.
This should've been nerfed or the exile allflame removed completely the next day people started abusing it, or not nerfed till the end. They've done the worst thing they could, they let some poeople get absurdally rich then took away that option from people who didn't had a chance or strong enough build yet to try that.
And it's the 3rd time this league, first the meatsacks, then the divine frogs, then this.
Also, who would have thought that adding a way to spawn hundreds of unique monsters while You also added scarab that guaranteed one unique drop from unique mosters or spawn a ton of beyond form uniques could do any harm, hmm?
Honestly, I've spent 200 div onto my build but I wouldn't mind a league re-launch (second one, for people who want to start over, and keeping this for those who dont) without the already runied market and prices fluctuating by hundreds or thousands % in one day.
Theres so much drama with this season. Im going to finish the atlas and go play helldivers 2 until the next season rolls out 😅

people will say you are wrong about this but you are correct. The league was already fucked and now it is even more fucked and may not recover enough for people to want to play again.
They nerfed it within few of days of it comming out to public view. How more "instant" do you expect patches to happen? The league isn't dead, the economy isn't dead, and a day of crazy farming stopped is way better than keeping that BS for the entire league. GGG did the right choice, I would've hated the league if it remained.
They're clearly trying a new approach with very big changes in the first days of the league. Of course some mistakes like this would happen after making the unmodifiable tier 17s modifiable

I didn't really play this league cuz i don't like learning mechanics that are both unfun and definitely not going core. Leagues are starting to have a "borrowed power" problem for me. I get they don't want to keep bloating and there's a skeleton crew on the game, but yeah. There's just so much stuff to play rn that's keeping me away from PoE.

You are so right when the comments at the end, that enjoyment is lowered with these events.I will admit this being my second league, i do feel im enjoying it a lot less. I started one month into affliction league and i never had the feeling i need to be top tier since im both new and one month late so my enjoyment was experiencing the game. But this league, due to work etc, im two weeks in and only have 1 div and seeing all these things rly makes it worse. Despite starting the same day as everyone and having all that experience from affliction league im at 1 div vs people with multiple mirrors
This was a huge loss to people like me who will never catch up. The rich get richer and ruin the economy while i stay poor just like in real life. GGG needs to get there shit together

well it killed the popularity of it at least. headhunter had doubled almost tripled in price, and magebood is almost doubled. basically, economy is now even worse except for the top 0.01%

The specific strat of div card farming in t17s is absolutely dead. Not to say some others won't pop up, but it won't be nearly as lucrative.
I'll be honest, I wasn't thrilled last league when it became obvious that the economy would become inflated. I still enjoyed the game and the league for the most part, but I fell into the same FOMO thought-process that resulted in high gear TS MF, rolling 100s of maps for +2 proj, etc. I was hoping this league would slow down, but of course it ended up being even worse. I didn't roll a second character because I wanted to push Zoomancer (was able to do moderate T17 and finish it, but it was rough). This nerf a few weeks in after the crashing of the economy hurts, already with a low retention league. I wish they could do some sort of secondary 'restart' league, now with a much better crafting section of the league (albeit, there should be some sort of UI overlay to bury bodies and keep track). I'm just coping, however, as this is one of the very few games that still keeps me interested in gaming.
headhunters are already back up to 50 div, magebloods around 185. The economy is resetting.
@Megikat The problem with that is the people with the currency made by the abused method still have it. They still have the items that dropped too, so any resetting of price is only a gain for them and a loss for players without. This only enhances FOMO for the next ridiculous farm and makes everyone collectively lose their shit even more. The only way to prevent this is to either playtest enough to stop these things from happening in the first place or patch VERY quickly if something starts becoming broken.
Fomo is a disease and you should get checked for that. You should have played magic finder abyss because you enjoyed the playstyle knowing it would get fixed at the end of the league. Not because you felt pressured into it.
Remember that you can always turn off the game and touch grass. The game will still be there in a month or two.
I already quit the league, but nice effort ggg.

I don't understand why they nerfed it. Why can't we have MBs that just cost 100c instead? These .1 top players are doing us low-lives a fking favor with this kinda of strategy. They just have to make the game grindy and hard for the average joes innit?

it doesnt look like veiled chaos orb drop rate was buffed to me. It looks to me like they could only drop in the highest levels of catarina fights and now they can potentially drop in lower level fights. the lower levels will just have an EVEN LOWER drop rate.

If they didn't actually change the drop rate then it's a total troll patch note but I'm assuming the drop rate is doubled.

This really has to be one of the worst leagues ever can barely do some on these maps with all these modifiers just gets old ruining tons of maps to run one this is not the way to get new players or keep existing peace till next season

@@redfish337 through six portals and stroke of luck i got my 5th slot on a bringer of rain/ facebreaker AW build on the catarina map (also tukohamas fortress which is anti-ssf but could sub in a rare +1 totem shaper inf. shield instead) but i agree t17 were overtuned.

It had to be done, no question, but the nerf is currently a net negative to the majority of players. If you're triggered by me using my own experience as an example then I cant help you with that
Yeah, I bought a handful of Nimis, HH, etc. It seemed obvious they would nerf this so I spent nearly all the div I had. Probably profit at least a mirror or two off this nerf alone.
Reminds me once again why it is totally pointless for normal players to try and rush to endgame in less than a week.
If you want a good and fun expéerience, not chasing meta builds/currency making strategies, it's ALWAYS better to let GGG patch before you reach the content with glaring issues.
hmm i can find a number of reason otherwise, First let say you want to play a build and it hapen that build is suddenly meta cause of X and Y interaction that have been dscovered. Market price for item will reflect it.Thus if you dont chase meta curency strategy youll always chase after the poe economy

I had to watch fubgun for 5 mins yesterday and he got more loot from 1 map than i've got in the past 5 league.
Ya this patch is bad, I was making money selling to juiciers and watching mb go down in price I might actually have been able to buy one.... Now that item I was working towards is even further out of reach and my income from all flames is gone

Totally agree with your conclusion mate, there are too many people with FOMO and worried that they're not going to get inventories of mirrors. That's not what the game's about and is PRECISELY why people are mad. It's like if every other house has a lambo parked outside. It's just disappointing that the exploit (let's call it that) was there to begin with.
Some of the most fun I've had in ARPGS was in Diablo 1/2 where I wasn't farming or playing meta, I was playing random shit (they called them Variants) where you had self imposed rules to make the game harder, use items you normally wouldn't, and adopt different playstyles. That's my idea of fun, not frying my GPU while mirrors rain from the sky.
for some people that IS what this game is about. its a game, its played by a person for however they enjoy playing it. you literally cant tell someone theyre not allowed to enjoy a game how they want.
Too little too late. I never want them to do a crafting league again. It absolutely fucks the economy every time. Just go with a new way to get things already in the game. Those are always the best leagues. Expedition, Tota, even Affliction though it never should have scaled with MF stats.

@@Ilyak1986 It absolutly fucked mid level crafting. Essences and Delve are basically a fraction of their value. Because why spend 7 div making a good set of boots when 2 div in corposes will be better. That includes the fracture, essences, suffix/prefix lock, reforge or even worse now a Veiled Orb for an extra 5 div. Assuming you even hit what you want first time around.
So your complaint is it's now easier and cheaper to craft good boots ?
@@iamforsaken2008 Learn some reading comprehension. My complaint is that the market is fucked because all other crafting methods are invalidated... which makes the items needed for that crafting method worthless. Which cuts off a large section of the game from being profitable to engage in.
Again, another mid-league nerf after the economy has been completely destroyed. People that had time to abuse the game mechanics will now snow ball even harder, making items more and more inaccessible.
I am done with this league. I cant just do anything at all. Deleted because i got tilted. F this game.!
