They need to get real and consider a 3 year plan. Trade Myles now..this draft go heavy O line ..Mix O line, D line and D year 2...skills positions and D year 3. If there's a qb to grab year 2 or 3..grab him.
I like the way you think. I said the same thing. Go offense of line with this draft all rounds. Next year defense of line all 7 rounds. Then the following year get you specialty players, QB, DB, running back , wide receiver.
Rebuilding both offensive and defensive lines is prime. Another search for our "franchise QB is obviously is prime too, but an O Line to protect said QB comes first. Yes it is a hot mess! 2 year project at least to start another climb out of the trash can.
If they really want to do something right, they need to draft a left tackle to keep the QB from being killed. Sign a QB for this year, and go for offensive and defensive linemen this year. Garrett needs to see the owners put some beef on the table to help him. There's a lot of really good defensive linemen this year, and there's no reason with one of the first picks you pick up your L tackle and a good defensive tackle to help Garrett. But, left tackle first in my opinion.
There are too many decent QBs in free agency they can get cheaper than an unproven 1st round draft pick. Not that many great choices in the draft pool. Got a good defense. Invest in protection.
I don't feel confident with this front office and this head coach selecting the next Browns QB, the Browns scouting department is not very good, and unless they call in an outside consultant to help them during the draft, they will get it wrong. Also I don't trust Kevin Stefanski developing a guy like Cam Ward.
I know this qb draft isn’t the strongest but if cam or shedur makes it to them have to take a chance. If not Abdull Carter or Will Campbell. Have to take a chance on a QB if they don’t bring in someone else.
If you are picking in the top 5, you better get a quarterback, particularly since the Browns have not had a first round pick in 3 years. Playing it safe gets you nowhere. The Browns played it safe in 2017 by picking Myles Garrett instead of picking Patrick Mahomes. The Browns went 0-16 with that safe pick, and only made the playoffs twice since making that safe pick, meanwhile Patrick Mahomes won 3 Super Bowls already and is going for his 4th Super Bowl this year (has a chance of winning 3rd straight). Defensive Ends do not change the fate of franchises, however a quarterback does. If Cam Ward is on the board when the Browns pick, they better pick him, he is the Davey O'Brien award winner as the best college quarterback.
Its not about just Drafting a QB, its about the talent available at the QB position, when they draft and the team's ability to develop the QB, when they get the QB? Lot of teams destroyed good #1 QB picks and talent when they had it (Bears, etc). Browns missed their chances in 2018 with missing on the #1 pick, by not taking Lamar Jackson or Josh Allen.
I expect a slim crowd at best and if the front office doesn’t do a superb job this coming off season every game could be like this last game! FIRE THE FRONT OFFICE PERSON WHO MADE THE WATSON TRADE!
The offensive staff needs to be replaced. The HC was hired for his offensive knowledge and skill. Give Kevin the play calling back. Running the football requires a skilful offensive line; start the rebuild. It's a 2 year rebuild, minimum.
Andrew Berry has never been the sole decision maker. When Jim Schwartz came in and wanted a certain type of defensive tackle that's what the Browns went out to get. Berry tries to get the players that the coaches recommend. You should know that Tony. Mary Kay Cabot and other Browns reporters know that. DePodesta, Stefanski, Schwartz, and Haslam let Berry know who they want and Berry tries to make the acquisition work within the salary cap. The Browns have had more talent over the last few years and I've seen them have probably ever. They need a dependable quarterback. The offensive line needs to do much better. Some of the coaching needs to be much better. When the Browns win Stefanski gets the credit (2 COY), when they lose its Berry's fault. Just a couple of years ago the Browns were considered one of the most talented teams in the league. They still have a lot of the same players. Now all of a sudden Berry and company should be fired 😕 SMH 😔. Get a good quarterback, kicker, and two good offensive linemen and watch the big difference. And it's really silly to count Nick Chubb out before we see him completely 100% healed.
You know I don't get acting like Berry has been a total failure, I mean he has drafted Delpit, JOK, Emerson, Maguire, Jones, Wright, Hall, Tillman, and a few others, most were selected without first and second round picks. Let's be honest too wills and Newsome were both rated by everyone where they were selected, in fact both had good rookie seasons especially Wills, that and Anthony Schwartz was a third rounder people act like he was a top 50 reach, he wasn't. He's made good picks and bad picks like every other GM, Browns fans are over dramatic about everything, the team can get back to success soon with good moves, they don't need to trade Garrett and any other stupid thing fools suggest
Grossi is such a cliche salad it's become nauseating to listen to. The Brown's did not.... "throw the ball enough to player X" (in this case, Juedy) or "stick with the run"? Well "Tone", it's kinda hard for the coaches to consistently get the ball to the team's best weapon when the opponent is taking him away via double teams and rolling coverage's. It's also difficult to do ANYTHING with a QB who refuses to get rid of the ball quickly, move on to his second read (much less his 3rd), or throw the ball more than 10 yards down the @##$'n field! As far as the Browns not sticking with the run, It's kind of hard to lean into the ground game when you're only converting about 25% of your 3rd down attempts on the season. The Browns don't suck in '24 due to poor game planning. They suck this year because they scrapped a boring but steady offense in favor of one built entirely around a QB with supposed "franchise" talent. Instead, Watson has played like a replacement level talent. Considering this offensive system was not only built around what he did best, but went away from what most of his teammates did best (run the damn ball 'n throw off from PA 'n bootlegs) the 2024 season has turned into a total disaster. I give about about 25% of the blame to Berry and Stefanski. Both men had a big enough role in the Watson trade decision that they need to be held accountable (but not fired). The other 75% goes to the Haslam group (Jimmy, Dee, + the immature son-in-law who's name escapes me) and good ole "Depo". You see, these are the people who not green lighted the Watson trade but gave the not-so-subtle SUGGESTION that Stefasnki fire his OC (Alex Van Pelt) and implement an entirely new offense. Looking for an extension, Stefasnki obliged. Looking back, he should not of....
They have Watson! They don’t need a quarterback! You know the upgrade at the position! The adult in the room! $230 million dollar man! Enjoy your team!
The "desperation" move to compete with the AFC "elite" QBs was Made because Former Browns GM John Dorsey "PASSED" on either Josh Allen or Lamar Jackson (MVP 2x) after having the #1 draft pick in the 2018 NFL Draft, for someone (Mayfield) who is now on his fourth NFL team. Browns had a chance for a very good QB, Josh Allen and a sure-fire, HOF candidate in Lamar Jackson. The "true" Adult(s) never made it from the 2018 NFL Draft to the Browns QB room.
@rpippen3455 I get all that! Allen was the 7th pick by Buffalo, Jackson was lower in the first round! In Mayfield's defense, 3 head coaches or 4 if you count Greg Williams who was interim. 4 offensive coordinator 's all in the span of 4 years! He played hurt basically all year with the left shoulder harness and then got LIED to before the worst trade ever for lame ass watson!! Let's face it, they mortgaged the immediate future of this team with the draft picks and money!! Nobody will trade 10 cents for watson but his cap # over the next 2 years is 92+ million dollars which means they will put his lame ass back on the field!!
One Major non-action by Dorsey led to the current situation, that can't be ignored, He had His Choice of any of those QBs, he had the #1 Pick! Recent draft history played a big role in Browns desperation and current state. if you give Baker reasons for lack of success , then you have to give the same to Watson. After having been a highly successful Texans QB, comes to a Browns team , after a long layoff, that was not setup on how to Coach, scheme or Protect a "Mobile" QB, Bad O-Line who forgot how to block, Receivers Dropping Passes and with No Separation from Db's, Major "Shoulder Surgery on Throwing Arm" which limited his down field throws, No Running Game and lastly had another injury, Achilles tendon surgery. Also, added coaches, OC Ken Dorsey and Mike Vrabel to the staff to help Stefanski. It would have been amazing for Watson to look like his Texan player days, but he never had time to settle into a proper system with the Browns, running for his life every game, then it seems he sort of developed a QB PTSD and lost some confidence, with such great fan support! Lol. If you evaluate, just his football situation, you have to be fair. In Desperate times you try desperate measures, sometimes they work and sometimes not, but could be for several reasons, not just #4 (Watson). Lastly, future Drafts, trades and Free agents are NO guarantees for success, the Browns had all three for the last 60 years and before Watson, no change? Ask the Bears about the top QB draft success, etc ? Football is still a team game with a need for Good Coaching, players, etc.
Gee, you think? Don't have any choice but to draft a hopeful qb#1 dtr will never be a true starter. Winston is too much of a turnover liability! Write watson a check and show him the door!! Obviously, Haslam authorized the worst trade ever so let him open the door and show watson the way out of town!! Nobody will trade anything for him! He sucks!!
If they let Andrew Berry make the upcoming 2025 draft decisions, they're out of their mind!!!
The Browns should draft an owner.
He thought he was going to take advantage of the NFL.😂
fuckin a right best comment ever
It's best for the team to not win another game this season.
Think they can handle that!
They need to get real and consider a 3 year plan. Trade Myles now..this draft go heavy O line ..Mix O line, D line and D year 2...skills positions and D year 3. If there's a qb to grab year 2 or 3..grab him.

LT is needed too
If this year had more options at QB coming out, then maybe draft one. this draft is an Rb-OL-DL draft.
No Dome
It won't matter if they had the #1 pick cuz this team is so poorly runned they'll screw it up anyways
It’s almost as poorly ran as your English.
@duzzitmatter8679 I don't see anyone on here putting a period on the end of they're comments but you smart ass
I’m a huge Browns fan and I said the exact same thing.
Yes they should!AFTER they fire the coach and GM!
Merry Christmas 🎅 guys to you and your family s
Happy Festivous to the rest of us.
Merry Christmas may God bless ya.
Yes
“I would reconsider that.” Me too, Tone. Me too.
There are too many decent QBs in free agency they can get cheaper than an unproven 1st round draft pick. Not that many great choices in the draft pool. Got a good defense. Invest in protection.
Dink and dunk is gonna be the only way DTR can move the offense.
No, he isn’t gonna fix anything either, I promise.
@@SETHYSMALLZ i agree bud, i'm just saying he can barely throw it past the sticks, so this is where we're at.
They need more than a QB. A balanced attack is essential, but not possible with the personnel we have.
No, they’ll just ruin him also. Or trade like everyone else,
I don't feel confident with this front office and this head coach selecting the next Browns QB, the Browns scouting department is not very good, and unless they call in an outside consultant to help them during the draft, they will get it wrong. Also I don't trust Kevin Stefanski developing a guy like Cam Ward.
There are no surefire QB's out there. Either trade back or take the best DE or OLB available. The DE or LOB must be able to rush the QB.
I like cam Ward a lot but I think he will go number 1, browns would just destroy him too tho
I know this qb draft isn’t the strongest but if cam or shedur makes it to them have to take a chance. If not Abdull Carter or Will Campbell. Have to take a chance on a QB if they don’t bring in someone else.
Anybody but Watson
Go safe and get d line or o line

The best way to help DTR is cut him. I am not a slow learner! Obviously most Browns experts are!
Of course, they never address the OL. NEVER!!!
McDaniel knows about cold weather here when he coached here. Miami will be ready Play hard .
Who is worthy?

That has to be the stupidest question I've ever heard.
I'm surprised that Tony Grossi likes Cam Ward.

If they draft a qb they'll screw it up some how. They would screw up Tom Brady if he was a Brown. It's just awful.
