@@mikeycrackson I think the opp is engineered so reasonable, so that it will eventually blow the fuse over time if you don't have a real good psu. You have to consider that people run the cards 10 to 20% over the power limit all day and opp is most likely around +30%. One spike on a white label psu and the fuse is gone.
@@mikeycrackson There are actually alot of reasons that it can happen and sometimes its not even the graphics card breaking sometimes a bad motherboard , PSU etc etc can cause something to blow cheap no name power supplies can cause it
For some reason I can feel your happiness when you repair an electronic device, so I also smiled when I repair something and go back to work again, I also work repairing electronic devices. Many greetings 🤗
Nice fix. Its good to have a fuse on board. It saves the life of the board and even the complete videocard. Its very good to have such a good description from the costumer. Thank you for that video
Chout out to the card owner for his analysis and patience to not fix it by himself although he was correct. Most ppl intent to think it's easy as it look, this particular one it's not super hard too but it's not wise to learn on on your needed device.
The guy solved it itself... Alex just did the job... which is completly fine... and it is better when the job is done by someone who does it every day... great job max
That doesn't happen very often ,just a popped fuse and no short ? Also good that the customer learned something from your videos and identified the potential issue and sent for repair rather than attempt themselves 👍🏻
Nice! I wish all the video cards you have to repair to be fixable. I can feel through your smile not only your satisfaction but also the relief and the happiness of the customer.
Anybody know how to deal with an Xbox One S stuck in 640x480p on auto detect? I replaced the retimer chip twice, the hdmi port, HDD, and even the filters and of course tried different cables and TVs/monitors and still nothing, could it maybe be the booster chip? Ugh..
When your PC gets flooded, its usually better to rinse the whole PC with distilled water to remove contaminants (from the flood water) that could cause shorts or eventual corrosions. I personally use dishwashing liquid soap and a soft toothbrush for really dirty ones and to get gunk away from the chip pins. Then dry it for as long as possible beside the hot side of a refrigerator, possibly a week or so. I've seen some people pull 3 days but you just gotta be sure.
From a master like you, the rosin dispenser is actually fake or does it really work? If possible even one far far day can you do a video about it? Thank you mister master, we have all the same smile when a work goes well ❣️
I have an Evga 1660 that works fine under windows but as soon a game is launched the screen gets garbled and crashes the whole system. What could be the causes for this besides bad memory chips?
I did this yesterday on an RX 470 nitro. I couldn’t see any issues on the board apart from 2 fuses had gone by the 8 pin. I replaced them and tested, the card had a firework display 🥲 I hope I can find the real issue and fix again now
there's no problem with doing that for a small amout of time . they only test if there's a display or not so they dont have to disassemble the card again if the card has no display
Love when the fuse actually does its job
I always wonder how many cards are thrown out due to blown fuses.

This is true. A lot of times and different electronics, they don't.

Thank you for that video
customer is super great in diagnosing the problem with limited knowledge. Good that he didn't do self repair and sent it to a professional for fixing.
Yeah thats also me, not to brag but im good at fixing things but when i dont or no idea i will sent to professionals than making a mess
I can feel how much you get pleased when something is fixed

Good to see the fuse worked as intended
Yes, but why did the fuse blow? I’m not sure I agree on this diagnosis that it is a “fuse issue”. I hope it works out in the long run.
If all repairs were like this ...
Wonderful very nice 👌 👍 😀
I'm addicted to your videos
Learning new things from you everyday
Alex don’t be discouraged you might not be Superman but you will overcome. Keep up the smiles they are motivation for us all👍🌻

Hello, You are doing a great job, I am just wondering where have you found the large blue matt for your workbench?
I believe it's a heat resistant ESD mat.
@@lawrencemanning I believe too, but I don't know where to find like this large size.
Nice work idol ithink i need to watch all your upload videos
Great video I hope you do a video for my card when you get to it!
good job mate. this time luck was in your side.
After fixing the cards? Do you apply new thermal paste or do you use the existing?
If you apply new one, which one do you use?
call it a day with a job done. great job
Easy job just before home time loving it
How do you keep track of all those boards 🤔
From a master like you, the rosin dispenser is actually fake or does it really work? If possible even one far far day can you do a video about it? Thank you mister master, we have all the same smile when a work goes well ❣️
Nice video. Thanks Alex
superb .... a nice idea to by pass the fuse
I never get that lucky. Nice job
10 GPU in one day is impossible to fix It takes around 2-3 days for this all' fixed good job Alex!
You are honest guy... Like you..
Just curious, what is the difference between using continuity mode or diode mode to test for a short?
Sir, which multimeter brand & model are you using?
Nice clean work better than factory😂😂👍🏼
if a gpu is broken by a bad (not VESA approved) display port cable with an active 20th pin, what part of the board would it break you think ?
I think this one supposed to be easy for Alex, but the way he smiled when it is fixed he seemed very happy. I guess it's because he can go home 🤣
Fuse is like the protection wall for all electronic devices.
i have the same card with shorted 6pin power, when I apply power to the 6 pin header the psu shuts down. any idea whats wrong? fuses are ok.
You are awesome sir🤗
Straight forward job
Love watch your videos and learn something new
How are you able to run the cards without a heatsink and not cause damage?
Just Hear it....😂Yes Sir... You're Superman At Repair ❤️😎🤗
I have an Evga 1660 that works fine under windows but as soon a game is launched the screen gets garbled and crashes the whole system. What could be the causes for this besides bad memory chips?

Hope you had protective goggles on.
@@xxycom8963 luckily I had a good distance but had control of the switch. Just a cap on the back fizzed
Hi Alex
please tell us how much charge customer for each repair
Thanks
Hey Alex, aren't you going to offer any courses this year? I mean remote courses obviously.
Do you not ever worry about the gpu overheating when you test them in your motherboard without the heat sinks and fans at all?
there's no problem with doing that for a small amout of time . they only test if there's a display or not so they dont have to disassemble the card again if the card has no display
Sa. You maybe not are Superman. But are The Man. We want longer videos on every card please. Keep up the good work.
