The ranking is cool, but if you're turned off of Springsteen because of patriotism I just wanted to let you know that Born in the USA is a protest song about the treatment of Vietnam veterans. A lot of his stuff harshly critiques America so he might be worth another look for you. Love your videos they are always inspiring!
Being critical of your country is patriotic. Born in the USA is patriotic but definitely not nationalistic.

Here's some iconic album covers that you didn't list: Prince's 1999 and Around the World in a Day, Tom Petty's Learning to Fly, U2's Achtung Baby, Elton John's Captain Fantastic & the Brown Dirt Cowboy, Van Halen's 1984
He was going off of the top 50 Rolling Stones article. Not on personal opinion. They missed a lot of great ones
Joni Mitchell Hejira " weird nineties double exposure" was produced in the seventies. It's iconic. For a graphic designer to give it a "D" is artistic malpractice.

Respectfully, I cannot believe you put the Led Zeppelin album that low 😩 one of the most iconic cover arts of all time, done before thresholding was a thing.
I know it was done before threshold was a thing, just kinda reminded me of that. It just ain’t my favorite, I could see why some people like it tho!
I think Led Zep IV has better cover art.

Wot, no iconic In The Court of the Crimson King cover? (Incidentally, painted by 23-year-old English artist-cum-computer programmer Barry Godber who, tragically, died of a heart-attack 4 months after the album's release.)
Great video. But I think you may be discounting Springsteen because of the aesthetic he appears to put on. The dude is absolutely not “patriotic” in the conservative sense. Dude has always been progressive and has never been afraid to criticize the more pernicious elements of American culture.
Born in the USA the furthest thing from a nationalist anthem.
Exactly. Springsteen is patriotic (critical of a country he loves) but not nationalistic (my country is the best and screw you if you think otherwise).

1989 is a much better than so many ones above it that have just a text over... same for Lemonade, the color palette is amazing
I feel like like being recognizible and iconic has nothing to do with the quality of the album cover. So many boring and bland covers got to high tiers, but that is my opinion.
Katy Perry's Teenage Dream deserved to be bere tho

Nice tiering. I would say that recognizing something without text has nothing to do with the graphic/art, that's entirely about the music and marketing. If Dark Side had terrible music, you would have no idea what it is.
At least the bad takes are consistently bad.

Dude.... I'm just over 2 minutes in and you already lost me. how could you put Led Zeppelin 1 at C tier. One of the most striking and iconic images in all of rock history! Yet right before it you put some forgettable, generic lazy white background, baby and text picture at A tier?
fair enough sounds like we both have bias, that "generic white background baby and text picture" is one of the most legendary hip-hop albums of all time.
