I really like this song, but it honestly gets better with every listen. The musicianship of Tamu, Hazuki and Haraguchi-San is firkin amazing. We all know the range of Mayu is off the charts. However, some of the vocals remind me of the cover Make You Happy. Please don’t misunderstand me as I really like that cover. This is such a diverse band. IMO they are still experimenting a little to find the best fit for the new formation. I seriously hope they bring in more fans of other genres, or at least introduce them to metal. Looking forward to the new album and a bright future. ❤️🌸
Love it! i LOVE this new line up. So far they have gone heavier than before. Tamu's feet where soooo fast in some place it was ridiculous. I liked the chorus, I like that it goes lighter then bam! hits you heavy again.
Great reaction guys. I get where you guys are coming from on the chorus. I still like the chorus. Is it my favorite chorus they have done? No but I still liked it. it did sound a bit more higher and pitchy and even me being a huge fan the first time hearing the chorus did not grab me as much. But As I have listen to this song a number of times I have enjoyed it more and more. I believe that was what they wanted to do too because as a band you are always trying to try to mix in new things and experiment and Nemophila as we know does that a lot. Very diverse. I guess one thing we can always expect from them is a melodic chorus in some form which I do love. The music is kick ass 100 percent. That opening was amazing and so many parts in between too. Tamu was going crazy on this one again haha. Hazuki and Haraguchi-san were doing some awesome stuff through out this too . I still cant wait to hear a new one from them eventually where Hazuki goes off on a killer long solo. Im sure we eventually will haha. Overall another great song. Even though the chorus is not my most favorite one from them my only real disappointment is the song is too short. I always want it to keep going haha.
You have to reinvent yourself. Rewrite the old songs to 4 and you can experiment with the new ones without having to worry. Like all Japanese bands, they reach into the music box and take out the parts they need. With no regard for history. I can't wait to see what else they come up with, we're in for a few more surprises. Let's see how Mayu's guitar playing develops.
I wonder if Tamu's husband ever offers any input. That could lead down some curious avenues. He's a composer who did a lot of music for the Silent Hill game franchise.
Missed the point I think: It's all of their individual influences being splattered across the musical spectrum, hence the rainbow. More of each of their own input instead of the producer writing, so, progress. It makes sense from an interview they gave before Saki left; Hazuki said she wanted to add more metalcore/djent type of riffs, Hara-chan wanted to add more electronic elements, Mayu likes doing the hard vocals but wanted to add some brighter elements as well. That chorus sounds a bit out of place at first, but listen to it a few times and it won't leave your head.

I agree about the chorus. If it was pitched too high for her, then they need to recognize it. I thought she sounded like an old lady singing with that kind of wavery voice (I have that sometimes). The drums did it for me too. She was outstanding on this!! And then there was the head bobbing and the smiles. They say it all!! And the little sound effects made me laugh.
