Great. Looking fantastic as always. I'll give it a try too. By the way, could you also introduce some suitable fishing techniques or setups to use with these flies? Thank you.
Could you use the remaining stem of the cdc as rib on a dry or emerging pattern? Just protect it with an extra counter wrap of nano silk or fine fluorocarbon. The stubs could add movement or the hint of gills as seen on some caddis ect.
Good job Lindsay- this is an effective fly on its day - I see you use Hanak Jig Eagle - I normally use the 450bl - Are there any advantages to using the Eagle ?
@lindsayiflyfish yes usually fill up with the odd bits😉. Or as I tell the wife I only go for the social side 🤥🤥. Wye is fishing well when you're passing.
That ice dubbing is rarer than fresh unicorn droppings 😂😂😂
Yep!
Super looking bug nice tying
Thanks pal.

Beautiful job. Proven nymph 😍
Thanks Daryl.
Not even a month ago I fished this fly in the Pyrenees, in Spain. Good job!
Thanks pal.

Definitely, I have tried it in the past.

Hi Wayne I like the profile for slimmer nymphs of the Eagle. I have to be honest though the bulk of my jigs are tied on the 450bls
Managed to pick up a packet of the correct dubbing at last year's, 2023, BFFI.
You going next year Nigel?
