In this video, you'll see my unboxing and first impressions of the Victorinox Fibrox 8-inch Chef's Knife.
This is a very affordable yet great quality knife and a superb first knife for anyone's kitchen.
The main competitor for the Victorinox Fibrox 8-inch Chef's Knife is the Mercer Culinary 8-Inch Chef Knife ⏩ amzn.to/3NQgLJM
I've got a Mercer knife on order and on the way, there will be a review of it coming soon and then a comparison between the two.

Si'' es the best universal universal knife !
Swiss made no worries!!! Simple but efficient you can't go wrong with any of the Victorinox chef's knifes collection great video!!
I've just ordered my 8" knife direct from the Victorinox website, for £29. I got free delivery because I ordered a paring knife and "office" knife at the same time. I'm looking forward to using it. As a home cooker it should be as good a kinfe as I ever need.
I just hope my step-son doesn't start opening tins or doing some other idiotic stuff with it.
That's a great deal, yeah that's definitely not good for the knife or your step-son, that quickly gets dangerous...
I just received my knife about 2 days ago and super happy. It's my 2nd Vic knife and both are sharp out of the box. My next purchase will be a victorinox paring knife
Yeah, they're excellent for the money! Great choice Craig, and thanks for leaving a comment :)
For home use it's okay, if you work like a chef you must sharp everyday, if you don't want to invest in a expensive knife this is perfect for you !
I can talk about the steel quality wich is very nice.
It's 56 hrc so not too soft like other cheap knives, very nice everyday steel.
Very hard steels are more delicate regarding chipping and rustying.
Probably the best knife you can buy , with a japanese or chinese clone for special tasks.
Thanks Andrea, great input! I've got other more pricey knives now, but I keep using my Victorinox most often!
Thank you.
Thank you for watching and taking the time to leave a comment, it means a lot.

It is a great knife but getting hard to find!
Should be pretty easy to find it online, they still sell them at my local kitchen store as of a few weeks ago. I hope you find one, great value for money!
