I think this captures Aki’s character very well with all the long stretches of quiet and isolation contrasted against moments of intense violence and destruction. Despite all that’s going on around him, there’s a deep focus on how calm and peaceful his life is as he goes through his meticulous morning routine or goes around town on assignment. Wether it’s fighting devils or cutting up apples, it’s all a job to him, a chore to complete until he can get to the Gun Devil, or rather, until his contract, his job or his smoking kills him. But even then, it’s because of Hibeno, Denji and Power that he isn’t totally consumed by his mission, as it’s with them that he allows himself moments of happiness instead of just peace or calm, if only briefly.
Aki was such a great well written character and the animation for CSM was beautiful to capture these tiny moments to make the story impactful the way Fujimoto writes. Wish we got more of this style and we finished the arc.

Did not think that a nine minute edit would be so amazing and Aki was one of my favourite characters. It’s a shame that he died in one of the worst ways possible.
magnificent. the choice of images, how you respect the times and moments of the music for each scene. I was looking for pure action but it was gratifying, stopping to watch it calmly and in every moment.
Can you make an edit like this with yuujis traumatic moments in jjk? I dont see anyone making amvs like this and the style would be great for his story
