After watching PIXAR movie «Wall-e», I wanted very much to try to create a 3D model of this amazing robot. I made Wall-e solely for myself without any commercial benefit. The result is a movie «Copy of Wall-e robot». If the clip made you smile, then I achieved my goal! Enjoy the clip!
Total time of 3 months.

Looks fantastic! The model and texture are really accurate to the movie. The animation was also quite good - not perfect, but good. I think the biggest let-down is the treads, but overall, it's a really impressive model. Keep it up.

If you need a mode, sorry. This model only for fun and for me :)
As for wheels (tracks), I used 3ds max and wrote a script for movement of wheels. After this create special controls and just animated by hand.

Hi, would you be so kind and explain (or point to a tutorial) how you made those treads? I've searched the entire internet and found only pathdeform modifier tutorials for treads, but those distort upon rotation of the parent mesh\dummy?!,..,
