Brunson would’ve been traded for Kyrie most likely, remember the Kyrie trade was DFS and Dinwiddie and Dinwiddie was acquired for Porzingis so only way to still get Kyrie would be to trade Brunson. Of course they could just roll with what they had but idk I don’t think Brunson becomes what he is today on the Mavericks, I think Kyrie is a better piece to complement a star.
