Hey man I have much older Pathfinder w/Bose I did whole system last year as winter project… wish I had seen your videos before lol! I respect your work, and especially attention to detail. FYI- finding a hole in firewall in 04’ Pathfinder equally as difficult!! 🤦🏻♂️ Thanks again… subscribed 💯👍🏻
Another great video dial2fast. I just did my install in my 2006 Honda Odyssey bought new head unit Kenwood 4707s and a amp Kenwood XR-901-5 It's a five channel amp and i also 2 12" in a box from Kenwood. I installed it myself the stereo shop wanted $425.00 just to install it. gotta say it's not that hard. MAN THIS SYSTEM SOUNDS REALLY GOOD.
One thing you should ABSOLUTELY do is get (gell) battery they last longer and also will not corrode on your terminals they usually have better warranty also
Thank you for these videos, I have a small question though if you have the time. I've been debating on which LOC to use, I know you used one that was built into the amp. Trying to decide between a regular LOC, or one with bass restoration. My question is though did you experience any "roll off", when you turned the volume up. At higher volume did the bass seem reduced? Thank you again!
For my install and me tapping the Bose subwoofer speaker line, there is no attenuation of bass when I turn up the volume. However, because I am relying on the Bose EQ for the bass response, I can tell it's optimized for their system and I am not getting the cleanest bass response. Don't get me wrong, the sub can hit pretty hard, but from experience, it's not the cleanest bass response. If you looking for a good quality LOC, check out the AudioControl LC1.
Great recap! Questions: have you noticed any lights dimming due to the new setup? Have you thought about adding a capacitor? I personally like my bose system in my pathfinder but extra bass wouldn't hurt.
I have not noticed any light flicker when the bass hits hard. This issue you are describing has to do with the amplifier requiring more current than what the alternator can provide. Capacitors can help provide short burst of power to remedy the issue. You can even buy 100 farad power cells for your system. But if your sound system requires so much more current than what your alternator can provide, then an upgrade to the car battery and alternator should be considered.
Is there a bigger bose bass speakers u can plug in and a bigger Amp I just want more bass but I want it all bose....like the 10 inch invert or 2 in a custom box
I have a 2020 pathfinder SL rock creek with bose and I definitely need to upgrade the sound system

These factory systems are very specific to the vehicle. No interchangeable Bose parts.
