I can't wait to see people in these wonderful spaces again. It's hard to believe that the last free public tour was a year ago tomorrow, on the 125th anniversary of the March 11, 1895 opening of the new Central Library Building! Thanks for bringing us back for some sights and sounds.
When I took an in-person tour of the McKim building a number of years ago, the guide suggested that the conspicuous pink highlights in the marble may be been a reference to Civil War bloodshed. I always think of that when I go up those stairs (whether or not it's true).

God I miss the BPL. It seems like the Johnson side just finished it's renovation and it had to shut down.
Wait until you find out the real truth! Furthermore the reading room reminds of Harry Potter! Change my mind.
