I was thinking that reading the story from a children‘s bible with pictures might have made it more child-friendly and Layla and Zade would probably get an even stronger grasp of the meaning of Christmas. Maybe something to try next year😊
Kids love the real truth they don’t always need cartoon pictures most rather the real in my experience. It’s the way it’s presented that makes the difference. Because it’s from mom and dad whom they trust.

The Christmas Eve night tradition is the best it brings me back memories with my kiddos we make cookies have hot chocolate open stockings (because stocking presents came from mom and dad) wear our matching pj’s play a board game and then just relax with a movie almost exactly the same as you did! Family time especially when kids are little and everything is so magical to them is the best blessing! MERRY CHRISTMAS STEW CREW!
50 yrs ago, two days before Christmas, I walked around the Rivergate Mall in the hopes of bringing on labor . I did end up having my son that night! Thank you for bringing back that memory for me.
