What effects is he using for the tone? Also, what tuning? I'm learning to play guitar currently. I'm a an idiot and bought a 7 string lol. I didn't realize I had to learn a 6 string first lol.

it’s gotta be at least drop e. probably double drop d or c. you’ll need an 8 string or super thick strings for your 7 string

First thing he is using really low tuning (drop C or E) Then he's using a pitch shifter to bring it down a few semitones. Most amp modelers have them.

@@JLeww69 I have tuned my 8 string to drop E1 and drop D1 recently, at this sounds like its at least C1 but i think its B0 naybe even A0.

For anyone coming here later, I'm pretty sure the guitar tuning is normal drop E but the really low stuff is pitch shifted down an octave

Not sure about tuning, but that PODHDPro has a decent pitch shifter in it, I use quite a bit.
