I recently bought a Wahoo V5 Kickr trainer and for the first time, have actually enjoyed riding a trainer. A lot. I'm leveling up pretty quickly, and rode the Alp Du Zwift at midnight two nights ago. It was kicking my ass, and I wasn't in any danger of breaking one hour, LOL. But I finished it and got quite a kick out of it. I was commenting earlier on one of your vids about cold weather riding about how I had it all sorted out, and that I didn't "need no stinking Zwift setup", and now, here I am! I like that I can put on my music and train literally whenever I want, without a care about traffic, rain, snow, windy days, pollen, smoke from forest fires, etc. Congrats on your new setup; I may have to upgrade to a larger screen also..........
Excellent setup! I've only just started Zwifting using an iPad but after watching this video, I may have to upgrade to a monitor! I have my iPad and iPhone with companion app on a small table next to the front wheel, just in front of the handle bars. The display is close enough that I can see all the detail and the game still feels immersive. The iPad touchscreen interface is easy to use. I also purchased a Lasko 16 inch remote control pedestal fan from Home Depot for $49 CAD (some assembly required). The fan has four speeds, is quiet and the remote control (on/off/speed) works a treat! Thanks for another fun video! PS: First day of spring!!! Hoping to have my first 2021 outdoor ride soon!
You almost sound like a real gamer, Katie 😄 Nice setup! As a cycling gamer, I can tell you your mini PC was a great deal too, considering the crazy hardware prizes right now.
Looks great.. I also use a headwind amazing worth every penny have it setup for heart rate 👍 thanks for your recommendation of the areoplex headphones and foam rolling use them all the time excellent 😀😀😀🤟
I use a 50 inch screen connected to Apple TV 4K 😀 its the cheapest option if your PC is crap. Also using the massive tv makes it’ so immersive when on Zwift.
I'm happy for you, but I've got one piece of advice for you. Relocate your cables and pc because the heat coming from the back of your TV especially as it's right next to the wall, will be sucked straight into the fan of your pc causing it to heat up far quicker than normal which will affect it's performance. Just thought I'd try and help... Keep up the good work 👍😁
Don't use zip ties for cables that transport data. Because of the localized pressure a zip-tie can put on an cable, they can break on the inside. Use Velcro instead. Otherwise, cool setup.
Nice set up, but just so everyone knows, you can get zwift in max possible quality on a PC for about £200. No need to spend big on the PC. Check out the ZPCMR group on facebook and read the guides to see what you need.
I'm torn between the orro gtc gold disc and the ribble endurance disc. What's the ribble like for comfort (endurance) ride wise? I hate getting a stiff neck from being too far down whilst looking up..
Awesome setup. You just gave us a great option for our workout room. What kind of stand did you use to mount your monitor? Was there a special adapter needed to mount the monitor to the stand?
Well, England has lake district and Wales has snowdonia and we are blessed with isle of skye, where you plan a ride and add a few more days due to stopping with your mouth wide open at the scenery ever few yards. :) Love to see you there. Be like me running through the fields in my boxers for the fairy pool. Lol You can thank me later. :)
@@KatieKookaburra definitely - I have sold my soul to Wahoo and have Kickr 2020, climb, fan, desk, mat and all add to the Zwift experience but nothing beats trying to keep up with you leading “Alpe D’Zwift in an hour “ with the Kickr Climb simulating the painful climb.

Enjoy your great new setup Katie 👍🏻. Especially the bigger screen is a big immersion changer.
So funny you mention those Zwift towels! My daughter has tactile snobbery big time and loves to take my Zwift towels. Cheers Katie!

Gifted a headwind 👏👏👏 one could only dream.
They are good. 25mph gust blew my collection of water bottles off the shelf from 10 feet away. 🤪
I highly recommend RGT Katie. A lot of exciting developments and events.👍
Hahaha thanks for including the outtakes Katie, your not a nob for not remembering tech names.

Hello Katie happy training in the pain cave you did a great job with your setup.

I can keep watching you talk... What a cutey... and apart from these you give such valuable cycling content ❤
Nice and comfy set up, glad to see you are doing well.
Katie, not an advert okay but definitely influencing the product range 🤣
Would be great to have an apartment tour next time!
Congrats! Cool setup. Enjoy!
Nice £2500 Zwift set up! One can only dream.
You are making my day very optimistic :)

Good shout but I’m only ever on there an hour or so :)
Great Swift Upgrade Vlog, thanks for sharing
I love this and hope to catch up on zwift sometime...need a huge head start to actually get to your league 🙌
I'd love to get that fan - saving up my pennies! Cheers from Tucson, Arizona!
Looks mint that setup
Ahhh cheers matey. Guess who I’m riding with today??
I'm no columbo but I think I know who that is 😛
Looks a lot nicer than my cluttered garage and a PC that won't turn on without me pressing F1, Esc, Enter every single time. :D
Is that a safety feature I don’t know about? :)
@@KatieKookaburra Hehe! I guess a broken CPU fan forcing a trip via the BIOS screen on every start is a safety feature for the PC, yes. ;)
Do you happen to have a link for this big tripod your screen is mounted to by any chance? Thanks in advance.
Great gear setup !
Ha ha, I do love your out takes Katie 🤣 . Nice setup, I have a almost exactly the same except I use Apple TV instead of a PC.
Strange how a headwind indoors is good but to have a headwind outdoors is the worst, love the out takes, "I just sound like a nob" 🤣
Your cable management isn't bad at all
Oooh KK you’ll get me shot ... I’ve just ordered the headwind ... stop showing these tasty morsels 😂
I’m sorrrrry!!! I used it once and had to get one. If you Zwift lots I think it’s worth it :)

Another awesome video

Great setup 👍🏻 which stand do you use for the tv? Could you link to it in the descriptions? Keep up the good work 😃👍🏻
you should try the wahoo climb, makes the gradients feel much more natural
Ahhh really?! Video for the future maybe?
riding on zwift with a climb takes to the next level. you should really try it out.
Just be careful rolling cable up,it can generate heat. Don't want any fires. It all depends the thickness of the cable, the thicker the better

U lucky lass. Look to good to b a pain cave have a great weekend skinny k x
Great looking set up Katie, same goes for you too! Does the kickr resistance change along with the “headwind”?
Can you make a long term review of the kickr? noise levels, ride feels, any mechanical problems? great channel! Ride On!
Quite simple. Noise is always low. And stays low. Ride feels?? What do you mean with that. It is just simulating resistance. That’s all.
Do you have a different bike on your zwift setup or is it the one you ride outside? Love your videos and content Katie 👍
I'm torn between the orro gtc gold disc and the ribble endurance disc. What's the ribble like for comfort (endurance) ride wise? I hate getting a stiff neck from being too far down whilst looking up..
That has all to do with bike set up and which geometry fits you better! I have done 400km plus rides on my Endurance SL :)
Awesome setup. You just gave us a great option for our workout room. What kind of stand did you use to mount your monitor? Was there a special adapter needed to mount the monitor to the stand?
I just read your response to an earlier posting for the TV stand. Thanks!
No worries :) yeah at the back it’s a tv mount on top of the stand :)
Great name “paincave” 😂😂👍👍
I can’t take credit for it!
Very Nice !!
Nice setup Katie, should make your live stream easier as well.
Looking through your vids.
None of isle of skye.?
Which Isle of Sky?
Well, England has lake district and Wales has snowdonia and we are blessed with isle of skye, where you plan a ride and add a few more days due to stopping with your mouth wide open at the scenery ever few yards. :)

The Pain Cave looks like a very nice set up! How much for the fan??
Hey Katie, have you tried the Wahoo Kicker Climb?
I haven’t...
I don’t have it but I’ve seen it in action and for the climbing it’s really cool
Is your towel in microfiber? I have a bath towel in microfiber and it's far softer than cotton.
Happy Saturday x
You toooooo :)
@@KatieKookaburra thank you!!! 😍
Wahoo climb or headwind ?
I’ve never tried the Climb... but I think the Headwind is better as it makes any session better as it helps airflow!
On photo main from the video - tv higher than head, but scrolled the vid an it was lower. None perspective shots
My Katie😍😍😍
You look so lean in this Kay. Perfect. 🤔🤗
Ahh cheers :)
But, but the towel isn't green?
No Kickr Climb yet then?
Nope... you think I need to review one? I was never really fussed but happy to review it!

Came here to see a set up "pain cave"... Saw a lady talk about a pain cave with like very occasional shots of extreme close ups of items. RIP.
Too many bats flying around the cave to do wide shots.
I cycle 40km everyday and it has been many years and i would never go back to sedentary lifestyle
well done 👏🏼
Enjoy Cina, cycling life is the best!! :)

It is dear and i suffered from depression and anxiety but cycling cured it

@@cinakakar197 True depression cannot be cured by cycling. It's merely a temporary distraction from the human predicament.

To be honest I don’t listen to what you said As I just looking at you because you are so pretty ❤️
any one thinking the fan to much money have a look at the vacmaster air mover
Pair it up with apple tv
Isn't it boring to do virtual rides? 🤔 It doesn't seems so fun.
Nah I LOVE it!!! :)
