Some interesting sounds. I wonder how useful it would be with a synthesizer instead of a guitar. I think it might be better suited to that application.
I also got a Clean in my box, and can confirm it works great on synths and amazing on drums and drum machines. The 'wobbly' effect as I like to call it works fabulously on strings and pads
Not a bad pedal per say, but having “fun” with clean seems like a lot more work than having “fun” with dirty. But then again it’s probably the perfect pedal for clean or cleanish only players who like to tweak. Thanks for the video, it was a good watch.
21:37 - on my first listen, I was hearing “moron dynamics.” Given how little I was understanding of everything the pedal was doing at this point, I would say my first impression was entirely applicable for me! 😂
A good effort and I understand a lot of tone tweakers are drooling over this thing.... but to me this must be the most expensive, complicated and boring pedal one could get. :D I would just get a filter or a trem.
The first question I have is, is it really a trem or is that the pumping you are hearing as the attack and release keep cutting in and out on the longer notes (longer than the attack release settings)?
It's sweeping the low pass and high pass of the EQ the Attack control sets the speed and the sweep only happens during the time the signal is above the compression threshold
I like chase bliss, I like mystery boxes, but I couldn't afford one so I'm watching you play! 🙂 Unrelated: what's up with the beard? Does it work as vaccine just in case a new pandemic comes? I had to ask, maybe you were waiting for someone to ask to trim it haha :-P
Chase Bliss skeptic here, their pedals are the epitome of option paralysis. I literally DON'T want my pedals to do that much! And if I want lo-fi glitchy stuff I'll use the many plugins I've already paid for. I just stand back in bemusement and bewilderment watching people freak out over these things
I was also a skeptic until about 2 weeks ago I traded in a bunch of pedals i wasn't using for a a Mood MkII. I love glitchy sounds but they have to be useful, I also have tons of plugins to acheive the same general effect but there's something about being able to play a pedal that makes those ambient/glitch/space-laser-warble type sounds that reacts insanely precisely and fairly consistently to your playing. I'm completely sold. That said, I probably wouldn't have ever spent the $400 in cash for it in the first place so guess my advice is trade a bunch of shit in and try one.
So everyone has done the video but you do it because? I thought you had some credibility as a unemployable old musician living off his wifes wage. Playing the occasional gig in a pub with five people. Why would you do this review. It doesn't make sense after your own admission. Sorry if I'm wrong but. Peace
Ryan: Oh good, a simple compressor, this should be fast...
Chase Bliss: 🤭
JHS petals finally reviewed the t2 multi effect you suggested from sweet water and asked why they redid it!! LOL Love you all and have a blessed day!!
I love that offset purple pink 💜 guitar.
The Surfrajettes are awesome and cute.
It's wild how "clean" the signal was even after a console emulation (color box) and a heavy ass reverb. I think they're onto something

@@AndruJorj you might be right

I heard some Mighty Mighty Bosstones slipped in there - nice memories!

Talking of pedals my Templo arrived from Canada today,i forgot to buy a 18v psu tho the weirdness postponed for a few days.
I think the mystery has just started lol!
It was not dumb to buy it, you are gonna at least get your money back if you dont like it. Saw a lot of Cleans in these boxes. Looks like a cool one.
I've never wanted any pedal more.
It's a compreducation!
Do you find the neck on your Player II unusually thin?
no, it feels like a pretty standard mim style neck to me.
A good effort and I understand a lot of tone tweakers are drooling over this thing.... but to me this must be the most expensive, complicated and boring pedal one could get. :D I would just get a filter or a trem.
hit the books, your brain will compress

@@ModernDevotion That makes sense, Cheers! 👍
That's a lot of work for a compressor and a tremolo...
They shipped in a boot box for the size of pedal???
Some of the boxes had another pedal from them or other makers that were in on the deal.

OMG , the manual says adjust the SENSITIVITY! Then you do everything but.....
They messed up not doing matching knobs
💩 I missed the Live 😮
White blonde tele match the white blonde beard
If I want clean I just play clean.
if you're stupid then I'm the queen of france.
It’s an honor to have you here your majesty

The Mood is pretty dope though. It's cool to hate I guess
No hoop jumping for this one ?
