Well.. the PLA (called the Red Army back then) did fight the Japanese despite having lower tech weapons. They also successfully fought and defeat the Kuomintang who had the help of the US military. I'm not sure how much help did the Soviet Army gave the Chinese Red Army during China's Civil War. But I must admit that USA is probably the country in the world with the MOST real life combat experience as the US Military seems to be engaged in a war at different countries all the time, since WW2; Vietnam, Korea, Afghanistan, Yemen, Syria, Iraq, Gaza area, etc... This constant combat also pushed the US Army to develop newer and more lethal weapons at lightning speed.
ehh Chinese fought the USA in korean war and military active during cold war, they just didn't like bombing countries and shoving their ideologies then stealing their resources
